Basic-O-Base 10 : Superface Zoom In Mesh Cushion in Shade 00 Fair

You know i don't use a lot of cushions because i prefer to use classic BB Creams that comes in a tube (for daily use) or foundations (for special events), but i definitely cannot deny that Cushions have their own charm (especially those uber cute packagings when it comes to Korean cushions!) and they are oh-so-convenient to bring to travel so yeah, they are still a must have for me even though i wouldn't consider it a staple for my everyday life.

The hottest cushion in the beauty community right now? I would say, without a doubt to be Superface Zoom in Mesh Cushion.

Now i honestly don't know much about the brand Superface (it is a relatively new but HOT brand) itself other than the fact that it is made in Korea and their Mesh Cushion is a hit *LOL*. Upon receiving this product, i did some research and learnt that the brand was founded by two award winning commercial TV producers, Larry Shiu and Jung Son from Shooting Gallery in Hong Kong. They have worked with super stars like Zhang Zi Yi and Fan Bing Bing (who is my forever girl crush) among others and they made sure that their products are good enough to be used in films with movie stars, that's why their products all perform superbly and also easy to apply.

Before i got my hands on the actual cushion, i already heard a lot about this product, how it is one of the rare cushions that works for South East Asian skins (which are more likely to be yellow toned - although personally i have a very cold undertone myself), how it's good to reduce redness and also gives you a healthy, glowy complexion so yeah - i was pretty excited to give it a try myself.

It claims to be able to cover acnes, acne scars, redness and spots, to be light and soft, suitable for Asian's yellow toned skin, works well under tropical climate's heat and humidity with SPF 50 PA++ protections, gives dewy finishing and comes with a bonus refill

You can use the product daily after your skin care routine, it works as Sunscreen so you don't even need to use a separate one (i love this :D). It is a 3-in-1 product as it works as a sunblock, makeup base and foundation. Don't forget to always close your product after using to ensure the hygiene and freshness of your product.

Now let's get on with my experience with it!

Superface Zoom In Mesh Cushion comes in a bright yellow box that's quite bulky in size

They have three shades and as i have very fair skin with pink undertone, i decided to get 00 Fair. If you have yellow undertone, go for 01 Light!

Delighted to find the You Are Super line in the sleeve of the box, definitely a mood booster!

Each cushion contains 12gr worth of product and you still get one free refill!

The packaging is awesome! I love everything about it. From the bright and popping yellow color, to the cool and very distinctly Korean font to the smooth, matte feeling the casing has. The cushion's casing is made of high quality, weighted plastic. 

The inner part of the cushion also looks chic and uber cool with a decent sized mirror for easy application/touch up

It comes with a black air puff with black ribbon with the name Superface and logo emblazoned on it

Like any other cushions, all you gotta do is open the cover

And there is your product. One thing that i always stress when using Cushions is you want to tap and press on your skin, don't drag. Most cushions would move around and streak when you make swiping motion and this Mesh Cushion is no exception

Let's see how the shade 00 Fair swatched on my hand first.

You can see here that the texture is very light and the shade is pink undertoned for 00. My face is pinker than my hand tho.

Blended. It's definitely easy to blend seamlessly into my skin, i bet you can hardly tell which part's cushion-ed up as it is very natural, it just makes the applied part smoother and more flawless

Superface Zoom In Mesh Cushion has a light and refreshing scent, it is not overpowering or disturbing at all to me, but it does have a scent. It also has a lovely cooling sensation to calm your skin down when applied. This is how it looks on me :

I have some pesky old acne scars on my chin that have not gone away, broken capillaries on my cheek and also little moles near my upper lip (that i hate). Even though the texture of the cushion is very light and the coverage is light to medium, it is able to conceal most of my redness and even the broken capillaries on my cheek but it is not really a product that i would use to a party or anything like that.

It does feel very light and comfortable on my skin. The photos above is taken just using the cushion before i add anything else, and it already helps with my dark circle. It has a dewy finish, which is seek after for K-beauty fans but for me, it is actually quite worrisome because i have oily skin so i definitely HAVE to set my face or else it's gonna melt and slide all over in no time. 

You might also see how it looks slightly pale and ashy on my skin, but in reality it's actually the closest to my actual skin tone so if you compare the color to my arms and chest, it'd be the same shade. But i do agree that i look kinda dead *LOL* so to warm up my complexion, i always opt for a warmer (a shade darker than my skin tone) loose powder to counter balance the paleness. 

If you have very oily skin like me, don't be scared of the dewy finish claim - as long as you set your face using sebum out type of powder (i then apply another loose powder on top) then it won't make your skin anymore oily than it normally would.

With full face of makeup, very smooth and flawless indeed!

It's definitely my current go to base makeup (i have to be honest with you, it's so easy and fast to use that i am lazy to go back to my old base makeup routine that consists of many more steps than just using one cushion!), i like the result and also it's light enough to use daily without clogging my pores or causing any flare up. The only thing that i don't love about this product is probably how little the product would picked up everytime that i have to keep on re-pressing my cushion on it, after a while it can be a bit tiresome (as very little product would transfer each time) but still, it is not a big deal.

Olin and i also noticed how the product is the type that looks prettier after some wear time (not many products can claim this!), as i mentioned earlier, i set my face with a lot of powder so it looks quite matte first but within hours as my natural oil start to appear, it would look dewy and fresh without making me look like a greasy wok.

I also love how it's super long lasting without cracking or caking up, i actually wore it out for 10 hours last week and this is how i look after 10 hours and 0 blotting/touch up :

Yes, i have became a total oily mess after 10 hours (and let me remind you, 0 blotting/touch up!) but my skin makeup is actually still going strong. All i had to do was to blot and i think we can still go on looking good for a lot more hours!

So yeah, i do like this product a lot! Would i recommend this to all of you? If you are looking for a lovely Korean cushion with cool packaging, light to medium coverage, long lasting performance, dewy and natural finish which is kind to your skin, i would definitely recommend you to give this cushion a try. Honestly, it is pretty pricey, but it does tick all of the boxes in things that i am looking for in a cushion. I would also say the sturdy and light weight packaging is perfect to bring traveling and it's definitely gives it a major point for me (it won't be scratched easily in your makeup bag and it's certainly more efficient to bring than your tube/jar of BB Cream/foundie, and it's leak free too!).
