Hmm… who do I know that is blazing their trail? I would have to say my mother-in-law. My FIL just passed away and she was a tower of strength during his illness and passing. Now she is finding her direction and doing things she’s held off in doing. She continues to be a positive person and someone who is engaged in life. An inspiration at any age!

My sisters & mom never fail to inspire me! Top in their fields and forging onward, they work in politics and law and education and I am always in awe of their dedication and desire to positively impact the world they live in.
The fearless woman in my life that is blazing her own trail is my beautiful 22 year old daughter. She has been working her way through nursing school in the upper peninsula of Michigan (6 hours north of our home) for the past 4 1/2 years. Sadly due to the failing Michigan economy her Dad and I have had struggles trying to make ends meet, caring for her younger brother (who is now in his freshman year in college upnorth also) and her 97 year old disabled Grand Mother, so we have had little or no resources to assist her in her expenses. We do what we can of course here and there but our daughter has had to carry the majority of the financial burden with a full time job while going to nursing school to meet her costs of living as the cost of her college. At times she has even worked two jobs to make ends meet. Her most recent job is as a Full time Psych Care Aide earning minimum wage at the local hospital near her campus. All the while taking full time classes in nursing school and getting the grades done! She has also kept up with her extreme outdoors sports and exercise such as Mountain Biking, XC Nordic Skiing (she was Captain of the girls XC ski team and a Jr. Olympian in her Junior High and High School years;), as well as a runner (she was a Captain of her Cross Country Running team in high school). She continues to blow me away with her drive and STILL positive and outgoing spirit and personality. We can’t wait to head up north to help her celebrate her greatest achievement her Nursing School Graduation in December 2011. Woot! I think she would LOVE and could really use a new pair of “Fearless Sorel Boots” UpNorth and this would also be a great gift to give to her to help her celebrate her ultimate achievement! She will graduate with honors in the BSN Nursing Program!!! It has been a long, long roller coaster ride to get there…and I am so very proud and inspired by my beautiful daughter! Xoxo #Proudmama

My grandmother inspires me, she raiser her kids and then turned around and raised us. I love her, she is fearless!
My mother is a strong, loving, intelligent woman. But, the most fearless lady I’ve known is Vivian Gundaker, my past supervisor and the Producer at “As The World Turns.” After battling and surviving breast cancer, while working full time on the show, she organizes a team to walk the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure every year, for the past 10 years. She is brilliant, caring, strong, and above all, fearless.

I believe I am my own amazing woman. I believe in myself and in my dreams and that keeps me moving forward.
My mom inspires me. She accomplishes so much in one day… I would honestly love to know her secret! Married 32+ years, mother to four ranging in ages 30 to 14, and full time nurse through all of it… she still cooks homemade meals almost every night of the week and gets my little brother to all of his school sports and functions while still taking time for herself and making time to spend quality time with each of her other children (who don’t live at home anymore)… it awe inspiring.
