Volunteerism
As a backbone organization, United Way of New York City (UWNYC) connects volunteers and companies with grassroots organizations across the five boroughs who make the most impact in Health Equity, Educational Equity, Justice & Opportunity, and Food and Benefits Access.
Each project is coordinated by a member of our Volunteerism team who will match your team with a community partner organization experiencing the greatest need. In exchange, we provide our community partner organizations with skilled and passionate volunteers like you to help expand their capacity.
Custom Projects for Companies
A recent study by Deloitte found that Gen Z and Millennial employees make career decisions based on their values. Studies also show that volunteerism projects bolster team morale and support employee satisfaction and retention. At UWNYC, we’ll work with your team to find a project that meets your needs, whether it’s at your office or onsite at one of our nearly 550 community partner organizations.
