CLUB NOTES
February 13, 2019

Like we never took a break

Hi Folks,
There's 28 games scheduled this weekend. I think we can safely call the various seasons begun. We've a two-for-one on Sunday morning as both AFL1 and ALF3 are on simulataneously in PNU. Ideal chance to see two top games.
As always, if you feel like there's something I should be mentioning, please don't hesitate to contact me at pro@stvincentsgaa.ie.

This Week's Lotto

We had no winner of this week's €1,000 lotto jackpot. Numbers drawn were
22, 16, 12, 07
The next jackpot will be
 €1,150
Weekly winners were Brian Cooke and Ann Daly from the Sunday night sing-along.

As always, you can enter online here.
I think lotto needs a shot in the arm. If anyone has any suggestions on how best to revive it, drop me a mail.

Annual Memberships

I'll make a deal with y'all. I'll stop mentioning memberships, once the majority is collected. Hey I get it, January and February is a tough time of the year.  A full letter from the executive regarding subscriptions can be read here.
The club really relies on all members paying their subscriptions. A large portion of the suscriptions goes on registration fees and insurance. Please note that under GAA rules, a player is not eligible to play unless they are registered (and, they're not insured either!).
Many thanks to all those members who have already renewed.
The easiest way to pay is online with clubforce (formerly MyClubFinances)  which you can do at this link.
We've had a couple of queries around how to pay for Student Membership.  Students can pay in the office as we have to view their student card to avail of student pricing. We're considering a registration evening for students, which may help. If this is something you think is a good idea - let me know.

Annual Senior Football Team Fundraising Lunch

The annual senior football team fundraising lunch is being held in Clontarf Castle Hotel on March 8th. (Facebook event here). Registration is at 12:30, with Lunch at 1pm. The panel event will be chaired by Ger Gilroy (off the ball) and will include 4-Time All Ireland Winner Kieran Donaghy (Kerry) and Dublin's 6-Time All Ireland Winner Paul Flynn. Full details are available on the club website.

Upcoming Fixtures

There's 28 games down this weekend. It's a real full fixture list.
All fixtures can be found here, but as ever I get to decide which ones are my highlights.
The Senior Football Team begin the defence of their AFL1 title on Sunday morning at 10:30 AM on PNU1. (Facebook Event here) against Skerries Harps. This is the team's first game under new manager. We wish Tony and his backroom team all the best.
Turns out, at the same time, The AFL3 team begin their league campaign right beside them on PNU2. I call that a twofor! Why not head down, plant yourself somwehere when you can see both can catch both games. The AFL3 team game is against St Patricks, Donabate.
if it's a juvenile game you're after, the U16 B team take on Balinteer at 3pm on PNU2 on Saturday.
Also, a reminder : if you're knocking around the club on Saturday morning, check out the special being offered: Scone and a Tea/Coffee or Hot Chocolate for €3.00. I have to admit to trying this out two weeks in a row, and it has been delish.
