About this ebook

The devil has a name, and itā€™s Cristiano de la Rosa. On my wedding day, he was the last man I expected to see standing at the altar. He wants to make me his queen. His brother wants to rescue his princess.

Getting Cristiano to lose control becomes the name of the game, and the stakes are life and death. But as truth and lies blur, loyalty is tested, and our chemistry threatens to reach the melting point, the prize grows less clear. Either freedom no longer means what I think it does, or Cristiano is as devious as everyone says, and heā€™s mastered the art of playing my mind.

All I know for certain is that nothing is certain. And all you need to know?

This is a love story.

But even love stories have to end.

Book two in the completed, USA Today bestselling White MonarchĀ series:

Violent Delights (1)

Violent Ends (2)

Violent Triumphs (3)

Picking right back up where Violent Delights left off, Jessica Hawkins rejoined Cristiano and Natalia after their wedding. Thus began a thrilling, sensual, slow-burn story that kept me on my toes and had me so thoroughly engaged. I think I fell even more in love with Cristiano in this book. And while I had moments where I found Natalia to be maddening, it was also pretty hard not to love her sassy wit and attitude. It was especially hard because I loved Cristiano and only wanted whatever would make him happy. So sometimes I just wanted to shake some sense into her. There were so many webs and lies and secrets to untangle in the story. But it kept me reading. It kept me swiping the pages of my Kindle screen in a rush to see what was coming next... And then that freaking ending!!! You don't see it coming. You can't wrap your mind around it at first. And now I have to wait months to see how it ends. Darn you Jessica Hawkins for giving me brilliance yet again. Then for leaving me

This is the second book in this series. It is NOT standalone. I don't know where Cristiano found the patience. In the first half of the book, Natalie constantly had me aching to put my hands around her trachea! That girl tested every nerve I had! I understand she is swimming in revelations and that her entire world has tilted on its axis, but she needs to stop making blind assumptions. She is an inquisitive and intelligent woman it is time to step up and take control. When Natalie finally emerges as the queen she was always meant to be I felt sorry for those who thought to keep her blinded. In this episode, we see a bit of the darker side of Cristiano. We visit some of the events that forged the calculating leader he is today. We also get a glimpse of something else that lurks in his darkness, just beyond the brutality he so casually wields. Diego ... wait for it. We pick up right where book one left off - at the wedding. In Violent Ends, it felt like so many layers of the mystery were peeled away revealing the true depth of the deceptions and betrayals. I was not prepared for most of it! Friends are sacrificed and enemies are uncovered. This definitely kept me wanting, needing to know what lay beyond the twisted rumors

I'm freaking out! Just when I get accustomed to how this is going to play out...Jessica Hawkins gives me another cliffhanger! Not everything is as it seems, I knew that from the beginning of book one, Violent Delights. Now Violent Ends tortures the readers with all we can have like a buffet as far as the eye can see. Possibilities and endless opportunities await yet the lock between us and all we could ever want, need, desire is impenetrable. One unbreakable lock separates us from everything...the key we need to enter the nirvana spread out before us is locked away in Violent Triumphs. Far out of our reach and just enough in our minds to torture is without even lifting a finger. Bravo Ms. Hawkins. If writing doesn't pan out psychological warfare might be more lucrative.šŸ˜³ Just saying... The need I felt for Ends is underwhelming compared to the crackling anger floating through my body in a desperate ploy to avenge my need for Violent Triumphs. So be wary of others who have read Ends and avoid your friends post read, I'm afraid it will turn into some sort of zombie apocalypse with our greedy hands grabbing at everything between us and Triumph.
