CLRJ understands that a strength of our communities is our ability to “Correr La Voz” (Raise Our Voices) regardless of our ability to vote. By telling our stories, informing our communities and voting we strive to uplift our communities.
Votando por Igualdad Viviendo por Actualizar (¡VIVA!) is a civic engagement project that harnesses and amplifies our communities’ voices, challenging traditional civic participation models by engaging ALL members of our families regardless of age or documentation status.
Join CLRJ and our Latinas4RJ San Diego chapter for in-depth training on all things voter engagement. We will be discussing the importance of raising up Latina/x voices in National, State, and Local politics. We will be learning and practicing tactics for effective community outreach, such as canvassing, phone banking, and more. Finally, we will spend some time planning upcoming events and actions to uplift community stories and mobilize the Latina/x vote in San Diego County
