Repair and upgrade Service for the Radio and CB for the ZG1200's

Welcome to Voyager Radio repairs.

I can fix most of the problems that occur with the Radio and Cassette deck. There are several issues that occur over time with this otherwise reliable system.

Faults not limited to but including..

Dark LCD (Due to the grains of wheat light bulbs failing)

Front panel Buttons not working (Due to screws falling out and wedging inside the Radio.

Tape drive not playing tapes. (Motor or Belt failure, everything from disintegration to melting)

Buttons missing.

Tape door hinges breaking.

Audio muted despite mute button working.

No AM or FM.

Intermittent sound from speakers.

Intermittent power on/off

Black LCD (due to prolonged exposure to UV from sunlight). LCDs are no longer available. I DO have an alternate supply but the cost to me has more than doubled. I have to pass that on so they are NOT included in this $80 fee.. Please contact me if your LCD needs replacing. 540 391 0884 till 9pm EST

Modifications to the radio:

MP3 / IPOD / CD / GPS / Phone input.. I mount a 3.5mm jack socket on the rear of the Radio that integrates with the system to allow sound from an external device to the speakers or headphones.

LCD backlight color change from stock green bulbs to RED, BLUE, WHITE, ORANGE (as the picture), GREEN LEDs.. (Even PINK is possible).

Clock / Frequency display reversal. (Instead of always showing Radio Frequency till the clock button is pressed, the mod shows the time till any radio button is pressed. Much more logical.)

See below for the latest mods.. Bluetooth, Thumb drive, sd card and 20 FM presets.

CB:

Replace blown grain of rice bulbs with same OR LEDS.

Repair NO Transmit or Receive.

Tune up Receive sensitivity.

I have details and pictures on how to remove the radio from the Fairing. This can be accomplished in 25 minutes after practice but in the Real world, it will take about an hour.
