Wagashi Sweets Virtual Cooking Workshop - October 2021

Join us for a virtual Zoom Wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) Workshop! During this workshop, two varieties of wagashi will be made. One is Koimo (taro) used during the autumn and moon viewing time. The second harvest moon, Jusanya, is celebrated this year on October 18, so we will be preparing koimo (taro) wagashi sweets, as they are commonly eaten as part of Jusanya observances. In addition, we will also make Kiku (chrysanthemum) Nerikiri, which is sweet bean paste kneaded with Gyuhi (a type of mochi).
Recipes for the workshop will be provided in advance to all registrants. The workshop will be recorded and made available for registrants following the live session.
