This year we are offering TWO AMC competition dates!
**After you submit this form Mr. Seamon will email you a link that you will use to register for the competition on the AoPS website.**
**Your sign up is NOT complete until you fill out this form AND complete the sign up on the AoPS website.**
The AMC10/12A will take place on Wednesday, 11/10/21 from 9:45 to 11:15am in Plimpton. [You’d miss E period and most if not all of advisory. It's a blue Wednesday.]
The AMC10/12B will take place on Tuesday, 11/16/21 from 3:30 to 5pm in Plimpton.
Student can sign up for BOTH competitions! They are the same difficulty.
**Please make sure you sign up as soon as possible.**
If a student sits for both the A and B date competitions, the higher of the two scores is used to determine if a student moves on to the next competition, the AIME! So, if you can, take both!
The competition is open to ALL Williston students who are taking at least Algebra 2.
*Generally* speaking, students in Algebra 2 or above should sign up for the AMC10 and students in Precalculus or above should sign up for the AMC12.
You do NOT need to be in or have taken honors-level mathematics to sit for the AMC math competition.
There are 30 spots available for each competition. Spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
