Petition against changing names of Ahwahnee Hotel, Curry Village and other historic places in Yosemite National Park.

On March 1st, Yosemite National Park will rename Curry Village to Half Dome Village. The Badger Pass Ski Area will be called the Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area. The Wawona Hotel will change to the Big Tree Lodge. And the legendary Ahwahnee Hotel will forever be known as the Majestic Yosemite Hotel.

I support keeping the existing names of the Ahwahnee Hotel and all of the other historic facilities in Yosemite National Park. I believe these names should be the property of the National Park Service. The associated costs to re-create signage, collateral, newsletters and websites can be better spent elsewhere.
