Please read all the FAQs below before purchasing.
This is solely to cover our expenses in buying out the entire hotel for the weekend — including 2 pools, the bar, the stargazing deck, the clubhouse, & the commune. It will only be Yay-Sayers at the hotel Friday, June 12, 2015 at noon through Monday, June 15, 2015 at noon.
The ticket fee does not include food, beverage, or your hotel. Please see the questions below for more information on reserving a room at Ace Hotel.
We want people from all walks of life to have the opportunity to attend Yes and Yes Yes. This year we’re excited to offer a limited number of full scholarship tickets. A scholarship ticket is $0 and gives you full access to YxYY003 at the Ace Hotel, Palm Springs. This does not include lodging, food or beverages.
If you apply for a scholarship ticket, you are not guaranteed a spot at YxYY until the ticket has been granted. In order to guarantee a spot immediately you must purchase a full price ticket.
Scholarship ticket grants will be announced privately to the individuals.

Ticket updates, transfers, or refunds should all be done via Eventbrite. If you have questions, please email help@yxyy.us and be sure to include your full name, email, and Eventbrite confirmation number, if applicable.
Yes, unless it becomes sold out. The event organizers are on the hook for the hotel buyout and so we need to fill the Ace first. Additionally, you’re required to book for the duration of the event — a 3-night stay, Friday-Monday.
Purchase the “All Access Pass + Hotel Waitlist” ticket type on Eventbrite. This will put you on the callback list for a room at the Ace. Be sure to fill out all contact information and room type preference to make the interaction with Ace staff as seamless as possible. You will have 2 weeks to respond to the Ace once they contact you, and if they do not hear back from you will give your room to the next person in the list.
You are not technically reserving a room (or paying for it) via Eventbrite. Buying a "Hotel Waitlist" ticket means that you are entered into the queue for a room. The Ace will then call you over the next week (or two) to confirm reservations and collect credit card information.
You are only paying for your ticket on Eventbrite, and essentially getting on the Ace waitlist. First come, first served. When the hotel sells out, people who have selected this ticket type will automatically be on the hotel waitlist in the event of cancellations.
NOTE: DO NOT CALL THE ACE DIRECTLY. They are not accepting any reservations for the days of our event online or via the phone, and you will be turned away. Once you’ve requested a room via Eventbrite, the Ace will call you back.
We are encouraging people to share rooms. So, the first thing to do is check the room share spreadsheet to see if anyone wants to share a room or a bed.
Not to worry! There are several excellent hotels within walking distance of Ace Hotel. You’ll have an event badge and have 24-hour access to the Ace.
NOTE: Our YxYY event is contingent on filling the Ace, so please try to book a room there first before seeking other accommodations.
Yes! YxYY has exclusively reserved the hotel for Friday check-in through Monday at noon. They have offered YxYYers 15% off their normal rates for days before or after that if you'd like to stay!

We have the Ace booked Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, which means most people will arrive some time on Friday and leave Monday afternoon. You’re more than welcome to book beyond those days if you’d like to arrive earlier or depart later. Registration opens at 1pm on Friday and the event officially ends at noon on Monday.
We are encouraging folks to do whatever they need to do to be really present at the event, since the purpose of YxYY is to fully engage with the other attendees. Towards that end, if you can’t come without your children, we encourage you to have ample childcare during the event. We realize this is not possible for everyone, and so we are flexible. We'd rather have you, however you can come! If you do bring your children, please remember that you are solely responsible for their safety on the property and particularly in the pool. Children 18 and above are considered participants and will need to have a purchased ticket to the event. If you’re bringing a caregiver who is not also a participant, we will supply them with a wristband so they can access the property.

There are a few anchor events but the primary concept behind YxYY is that if you gather intelligent, engaged people that even in the absence of a traditional conference structure, great things will happen.
There will be fun activities popping up around you as participants bring things to share, but there are no pre-published schedules aside from a few anchor events. Tickets are refundable up to 30 days before the event (5/13).
Tickets are transferable up to 14 days before the event (5/29).
All ticket refunds and transfers will be done via Eventbrite. Here’s how:
The rules about canceling are related to our contract with the Ace, and are not their normal cancellation policy. We are on the hook for 75% of the room fees right now, and 100% of the room fees 45 days out.
Given that the 5 of us are not able to financially cover folks that cancel at the last minute, we have been clear from the beginning what our expectation is of YxYYers who book at the Ace. When you book, you are on the hook for 75% immediately, and 100% 45 days out.
That said, we do have a hotel waitlist, so we may be able to help you transfer your room. Send an email to help@yxyy.us and we’ll see what we can do.
If we’re able to fill your room from the waitlist, you’ll not be responsible for the 75%; you only have to pay if we don’t have anyone to take the room.
If there is no one to fill your room, cancellations within 45 days of the event will be charged in FULL.
