DRIVECLUB: Photomode |OT| The better you look, the more you can get away with.

Damn! The weather effects on DC look pretty sweet. Only have an XB1 and FH2 is great but it won't have the weather effects like this.

That being said I still think that the PC builds of Project Cars weather effects are a tad better (especially the rain), but its pretty damn close

If (or when) I get a PS4 though I'll be sure to pick this game up

I wish Evo fixed the AA in the game. The amount of jaggies is really disheartening to the final IQ.

Photomode looks absolutely bananas tho.

There should be a NSFW warning on the thread's title! So much porn in here!

Seriously guys, your patience and dedication to frame the perfect shot have shown amazing results!

I hope you're joking because PC weather effects doesn't even come close to DC's ludicrous wetness. You will realize it when you play the game.

Watching a lot of Project Cars videos I noticed that it doesn't look as realistic as Driveclub in any department. It may look sharper on a pc but the lighting, car interiors, reflections are mediocre at best.

Agreed.

I have Project Cars and it certainly looks nice with all the bells and whistles turned to max, but the weather doesn't reach the Driveclub quality.

I don't agree, DriveClub wins that comparison quite comfortably. The wet road surfaces are fairly close, but the droplets on the bodywork are better in DC. As the for the animation of droplets on the windscreen, it is much more sophisticated in DC. In PCARS they just appear in one spot and fade or are wiped away in a pretty basic way. DriveClub has wiper smearing, droplets pooling together, and movement affected by speed and inertia. The droplets also reflect brake lights. PCARS has none of those things.

These shots are unbelievable, especially on this page.

My Twitter submissions, I'll go back and grab all my screens with a USB stick soon.

Went with a bit of a different theme...

Flappy is becoming the best screenshot taker on GAF. It used to belong to another poster than always has the best screen shots (he has a capture card), but Flappy is taking the crown it seems. :)

Too much photoshop, the rest of us are taking clean shots.

Thank you for saying so, but I alter the colours in photoshop :p (DC's levels are quite flat). So it's kind of cheating and making the game look better than it actually is.

EDIT: Nevermind, someone has already called me out for it. But to be fair, me using photoshop is no different than people using in-game filters.

It is different, as others take screenshots with the quality the photo mode provides.

Fair enough. Point taken.

I'll not post any more so I don't upset the superior purists to don't correct the capture mode's flat colour profile.

Can't say I appreciate the condescending tone, as I just replied to your post which claimed that using the photo mode is the same as using Photoshop. The difference is, that everyone uses the former, but not the latter.
