LEAVITTSBURG, Ohio — An Ohio woman recently gave a surprising answer to a reporter when asked why she thought multiple house fires had broken out on her street.

According to WBKN, a fire started at a garage in Leavittsburg, Ohio, early Thursday morning and then spread to another garage, damaging both houses. When recounting the scene to a reporter, Heather Tenney, whose house was one of those affected, was asked if she knew how the fire started.

Her surprising response: “It was cause of my cousin and I don’t want to mention no names,” she replied.

When the reporter asked her why she thought that, Tenney said, “He is mad because he can’t get with me. I am married to my husband.”

WKBN reported that officials had taken in a person of interest for questioning, but did not identify him, as no charges had been filed.

Meanwhile Tenney’s husband, Dennis, was crestfallen over the damage.

“The first thing that popped into my mind is it’s all gone, everything I have worked for, everything I had that was precious to me was in that garage,” Dennis Tenney told WKBN.
