Weird triangles take over my screen
When I start playing on any map I get these giant triangles of varying colors that block my view of the map. I can scroll around and see the land and water at some angles but most of the map is obscured by the triangles rendering the game unplayable because I cant see what im doing. all the build tabs and charts work fine. All my settings are on low and it should run fine because I play Tropico 4 on medium settings with no problem and this isnt that much of a graphical improvement so whats going on?

That is your GPU they are called "Artifacts".
You are over heating or under too much GPU demand.

Usually, GPU or powersupply is dying, or GPU is overheating. Try to underclock your graphics card and see if it still happens.

Cleaning computer for dust might also help, if overheating is the problem.

I have it too. Just one of them showed up on the bottom right side. Havn't had any problems in aany other games so it might just be something with Tropico 5. Hardly a game breaker though.

I have the same problem, but lots more than just one. I can barely see the map.... Don't think this is overheating, this only happens with Tropico and happens immediately.

got the same problem and tried to use another graphic setting still the same...

Yup. Its the same vsync on/off, all resolutions and in windowed mode. All the menus and loading screens are ok.. Just playing the game is borked.

I have the same problem, all other games work fine like COH which uses a lot of memory etc, so I hope they fix this, I was looking forward to playing this, this weekend.

I have the 330M, so thats my problem on my laptop. Fortunately for me I can stream it from my desktop if I want to play in the garden or something. What does suck is my wife and I can't play multiplayer together until I get a shiney new gaming laptop. Ho hum.
