Popular crooner Michael Buble made a swing through New Hampshire last week as his "To Be Loved” tour stopped in Manchester.But the show almost didn’t go on until a local dentist helped out. Buble’s voice is his livelihood, so you can imagine he was in a bit of a panic when he had a dental emergency less than 24 hours before a show at the Verizon Wireless Arena.Dentist David Bloom’s work earned him his own curtain call at Friday’s concert.Bloom was in surgery Friday morning when he received an unusual call.“The assistant comes in and says, ‘Dr. Bloom, your wife is on the phone,’ and I’m thinking, ‘Who died? What happened to the dog? What happened to the hour?’” Bloom said.The singer’s tour manager tracked down Bloom’s home phone number after Buble, who was staying at the Radisson in Manchester, dislodged a crown while trying to open a ketchup packet with his teeth.Bloom’s wife scrambled to get his office team together.“And I said, ‘Everybody, we’ve got to be at the office at 11:20, we have Michael Buble. And they are huge fans, so they were excited,” Pamela Bloom said.Buble, who is known as a charming guy, did not disappoint, even in the dental chair, Pamela Bloom said.“Oh, just so personable. He was like your brother or your best friend. Just so easy to talk to,” Pamela Bloom said.“After it was over, he and his tour manager came down and we took photographs, and his tour manager said, ‘OK, you’re coming to the concert tonight, right?’” David Bloom said.Buble gave them front-row seats and kudos at the end of the show.“He sat down right in the middle of the stage and said, ‘I have a story to tell you,’” Pamela Bloom said.“He stopped the show and he said, ‘Just want to tell you what happened today,’ and he told everybody what happened. He said, ‘This guy right down here took care of me,’” David Bloom said. “It made for a very interesting Friday. You never know what’s going to happen on a daily basis.”
