2022 Forum: Committees Sign-up Form
Volunteers are needed for working groups for our 2022 National Forum Planning Committee. Every two years, APIAHiP hosts our National Asian & Pacific Islander American Historic Preservation Forum and the Planning Committee members play a critical role in developing and implementing all of it! Sign up for a committee (or two) and join us for monthly Planning Committee meetings (held virtually).
WORKING GROUPS:
1. Programming: This group develops the educational sessions during the Forum.
2. Logistics (onsite): This group focuses on onsite logistics (venues, A/V and tech, hotel accommodations). This working group will work in tandem with the Logistics/Technology (online) working group.
3. Logistics/Technology (online): This group develops online engagement strategies for the Forum (online/live streaming, photo and video documentation).
4. Registration: This group prepares the online registration site and manages onsite registration during the Forum.
5. Hospitality: This group plans and oversees catering during the Forum.
6. Awards Gala: This groups plans and oversees the Gala Awards event, including entertainment, awards program. This group works with Logistics (onsite), Hospitality, and Registration.
7. Program Book: This group (or individual) gathers content from other working groups to design Forum content on APIAHiP website and the Forum program book (print and online versions).
8. Advocacy: This working group identifies potential advocacy programming and priorities for the Forum (including working with elected officials).
9. Scholarships: This working group oversees scholarship opportunities for the Forum, including call for applicants, application review, and selection of awardees)
10. Marking/Outreach: This committee work on developing online content for marketing and outreach for the Forum.
11. Fundraising/Development: This committee explores fundraising and grant seeking opportunities to raise funds to support costs associated with the Forum.
