COLDWATER — Marcia Norton, a mother and grandmother, has enjoyed crocheting items for her family for years. Since last year, Marcia has crocheted afghans for patients at the Community Health Center's Cancer Center and hats and booties for the nursery.

Last week, she completed another project for Max Larsen Elementary School. Norton delivered over 400 pairs of crocheted mittens.

Principal Shawn Bishop said the mittens were, "all completed by her alone and her labor of love for little hands at Larsen."

Norton credits her husband Dan with providing the support she needs to continue her gift giving.

"He supports me and pays for all of the yarn and all. He is a big sweet heart. I Don't know what I would do without him. I thank God for him and for the talent of being able to crochet," Norton said.

"Maybe I can hit 500 pairs next year," she added.
