This summer SCMSA offers you a once in a lifetime opportunity to do it all, and after successfully organizing 22 prior Summer Schools, we can assure you with full confidence that this year's "23rd SCMSA Summer School on Tropical Medicine & Infectious Diseases" will be a fascinating and unforgettable chapter in your life!

In our program you get an unprecedented, certified hands-on experience guided by some of the best medical professionals in Africa & the Middle East all together mixed with a chance to relive history in the heart-capturing and mind-blowing cradle of civilization ,EGYPT, where you will taste the flavor of life in Egypt as an Egyptian surrounded by the friendly locals and your new local friends that will have your back 24/7!

So you gain experience, earn a certificate, make lots of memories with your new multinational friends, spend a spectacular vacation in a prestigious land that was ancient history even to people of ancient history and return home with a marvelous story to tell. WHEN?: 12 days starting on the 4th of August, and ending the 15th of August 2020 (Plus an optional 5- day trip to Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab & Saint Catherine Mountain, so the whole thing ends on the 20th of August 2020).

750 Euros for Early Individual Registration.

Cairo:-
A 2-day trip to the capital and beating heart of Egypt where we get the chance to hear the whispers of the past when we pay a visit to the last man standing of the Seven Wonders of the World “The Great Pyramids” and their colossal guardian "The Sphinx".
Always heard of King Tut or the great builders of the pyramids Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure? Now you get to see their statues, figurines and masks when we pay a visit to one of the greatest museums in Egypt and the whole world “The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities” which houses the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities.
Not such a great fan of ancient Egyptian history? Not even a problem our next stop will be the glorious "Saladin Citadel of Cairo" where the medieval Islamic history blends beautifully with Ottoman architecture just for you to gaze upon and awe!
Moreover, to complete your experience of the capital Khan El-Kahlily becomes necessary. There we will teach you how to really bargain like an Egyptian and buy some of the finest souvenirs you will ever see in your life followed by a tour in the open-air museum "El-Mo'ez Street" and what a better way to end your trip than a mesmerizing cruise in the middle of the Nile where all humanity journey started!

- Alexandria:
Want another thrilling 2-day trip in Egypt? Only a visit to the Jewel of the Mediterranean Sea will do. With its breathtaking weather, dazzling beaches, celebrated history and awesome nightlife Alexandria will offer you your next dose of culture, history and fun where we will get the chance to visit the enormous Citadel of Qaitbay, exquisite Jewelry Museum and the internationally distinguished Library of Alexandria.

- Portsaid:
Spending two weeks in the Suez-Canal region without visiting Portsaid? Surely, we won’t miss such a chance to show you the heart of the famous "Semsmya" dance & enjoy a ferry tours in the famous Suez canal in a half-day trip that will take you to the heart of Egypt's most famous port with its magnificent weather & super friendly people.

Ein El-Sokhna: -
DOLPHIN ALERT HERE, so Do not forget to get your cameras & swimsuits with you because we will give you the chance to dive into another world of tranquility and beauty that is notable for its charming marine life and coral reef as we visit one of the most frequented seafronts in the Red Sea, in another half-day trip to Ein El-Sokhna City.

N.B EACH ATTENDEE GETS A CERTIFICATE UPON FINISHING THE PROGRAM.

A trip to Wady Al-Rayyan Protectorate in Al-Fayyoum, Where we will enjoy the exquisite view, flip & fly while doing the Egyptian version of skating, ON THE SAND! and finally relax under the clear starry sky while drinking the famous bedouin tea while most importantly, yes we're talking to you sky lovers, stargazing!

-Optional 5-day trip to Sharm El-Sheikh, Dahab & Saint Catherine Mountain:

Dahab is best known for Scuba diving and snorkelling. On land activities should as well be mentioned, including camel and horse riding, cycling, mountain-biking trips, jeep and quad-bike trips!
The Well-known Sharm El-Sheikh promises you magnificent views of the sea, sky and weather, lovely beaches & outstandingly exceptional nightlife!
Mount Catherine, the tallest mountain in Egypt, offers a trekking hiking adventure ended by a mesmerizing view from up there to whole Sinai, watching sunrise from up there is one thing you do not want to miss!
