Brand new edited edition! Pastore has outdone herself, keeping the characters and story intact.

I had the pleasure of reading Unscripted early, and by that, I mean it was all my pleasure!

ORIGINAL review: Unscripted is a new series from Pastore, and it is well worth the wait on something new from her.... different than Fifteen Weekends, we see a new side of Pastore, a diff voice. Less angsty twenty-something and more broken love, Cinderella-esque.

It is the story of Holliday Prescott, equally strong and broken, and Ronan Connolly, single dad, heart throb, and America's favorite Irish Actor.

Originally, unsure of Ronan's true motives, Holliday plays it cool, but she can't keep up the act for too long because he is the man of all her fantasies.

Ronan, unable to live life out of the public eye, tries to understand his own feelings for Holliday while attempting to uncover her past and fix it.
Unfortunately, his own past rears it's ugly face and this book takes you down a twisty, angst-filled path.
Just when it seems the pair's future may not happen....WELL, no spoilers.

I will say this - ** Not a true cliffhanger, because Pastore raps it all up for us in the AMAZING epilogue, there is more story here and the end hints at Ronan's need to avenge demons.

AND I cannot wait!

**FIVE** stars for this READ. With a December release, it is the perfect stocking stuffer, gift for yourself, read by the fire or on vacation book.

WARNING: HOT SINGLE DAD AHEAD ... and the girls make the story :)

First, this book is H-O-T! I mean, the kind of hot that makes you want to wake up your husband and demand he "cool you off". Until you hear the snores, and remember he's not a sexy Irishman, or movie star, or rich... Oh well. Beyond the steaminess there is an engrossing plot line here, too. It's not my normal go-to style of read, lifestyles of the rich and famous and all that. That didn't stop me from binge reading it all night, then immediately starting book two. To prove my level of addiction, despite owning the paperbacks, I still bought them on the kindle so that I could stealthily continue my binge reading at work the next day. I have a problem you say? I think not. If I was rude to anyone, well, it's not my fault at all that I was grouchy and sleep deprived. Christy Pastore, I lay the blame completely at your feet.

Holliday was such a unique character. She had some serious baggage to work through, and had dealt with some soul shattering abuse that left her occasionally struggling for normality. Despite this, she never gave up, or lost her inner strength. Even when dealing with the harshest (and completely earned) anxiety, she never completely gave in or broke under pressure. She had this quiet, underlying strength that made her get up every day, demand what she wanted, and take what she thought she deserved. I loved her!

Roman was just so swoonworthy. Hollywood's heartthrob made into a down-to-earth real man, one who loved his kids and wanted his lady. I'm always a sucker for a man with kids, hits me right in the ovaries. I kept imagining his lines in an Irish brogue and whoa... cool it, lady!

This was really just a lot of fun to read, easy to lose myself in the pages, and left me anxious to start the sequel. ~ George, 4 stars

Wow! This book was just fantastic great fun! I feel like that could be an insult to the author... let me rephrase... In a world where we need stories to have TONS of angst, the push and pull, constant back and forth of "I love him, NO I hate him, NO I love him," and too many inner monologues filled with over analyzing feelings, THIS book was an indulgence of sweet and sexy "Let it Go" and have fun with a fantasy read.

First, they way the main characters meet - total "Meet Cute!" OMG so adorable. Talk about happenstance. Just minding your own business and the man/woman of your would be dreams/fantasies/desires is just right there - just waiting to become a part of your life.

I really enjoyed Holliday's sense of humor... she has a smart and sassy mouth with is only rivaled by Ronan's deliciously dirty Irish brogue. (FANS SELF!!!!)

"Holliday you have no idea how many times I've wondered what it would be like to kiss you. You've been damn near the only thing on my mind for what seems like days.... I've been having wickedly inappropriate thoughts about you, Holliday." Can't you just imagine those words rolling off the tongue of a sexy Irishman??!!

This book is filled with vivid descriptions that place you right smack in the front row of the story. I really enjoyed Ms. Pastore's writing and I look forward to the next installment of this series.

It takes me half a day (if I'm not busy) and a whole day (If I'm busy) to finish a good book and since I was busy, I was able to finish this book in one day which means that this book is just too good. This book is worth reading and worth your time if you're into books such as Fifty Shades and The Crossfire series (minus the BDSM). I won't place any spoilers rather sharing praises for this book and its author Christy! I would definitely read more of her books and I can't wait to get my hands on the second book (plus, is it possible to turn this into a movie?)

I had read this book in one sitting, and then I re-read it just the other day and I feel compelled to leave a review after finishing the second book in the series. Perfectly Scripted was SOOO worth the wait.

Unscripted is fast paced and emotional. The writing flows well, and the descriptions only add to the enjoyment of story. I liked Holliday, she was no frills, no bullshit - this is me, take me or leave me. Ronan, oh Ronan, how do you not fall for someone who is not only handsome, but completely cavalier - I loved how he used rationalization to diffuse the emotional situations that transpired between the two of them.

Fun: The truth telling with whiskey shots... that scene was hilarious.

We read that Ronan has made some not so grand choices in his past - we don't see his growth because that is in the past, but we see how it has shaped the man he has become today. That's why this story works, Holliday needs someone to push her to be stronger, and Ronan needs someone to keep him "further" grounded.

Highly recommended for those looking your not so typical Hollywood Romance.

AMAZING READ!!

At first, this book was just a four star read for me, but then I read it again. I really don't know why I but I couldn't stop thinking about the characters and what our heroine, Holliday had gone through in her past. And then for her to come out of it stronger with therapy and family support, mostly from her sister, Charlotte {who I hope gets her own spin-off}.

Bottom line - this was a happy story, and book one has really only just begun to scratch the surface with Ronan and Holliday's romance! unScripted is fast paced... head over heels.. heart pounding sizzling with chemistry and honest. The honesty between these two is amazing. The characters are beautifully developed and it makes you root for them, you can feel the instant connection and what a wild ride.

And Ronan.... oh Ronan how I feel in love with his dirty mouth.

Reasons to read Asap - BOLD heroine... hot ass Irish hottie.. did I mention hot? The secondary characters are beautifully developed, but this story was all Ronan and Holliday.

Can't wait for book two! Hurry Hurry <3

So spend an hour typing up something amazing about this book and then I LOST IT!!

What you are now getting is that I LOVED this book. I knew that Ronan and Holliday end up together but I loved learning about their history. Ronan and Holliday are both independent characters with darkness in their past. There is a cliffhanger ending but the second also revised book in this duet will be released at the same time as this revised edition.

This book was read to complete the Library Space (Free Space) on my #romanceopoly board.

This specific video review will be included in the January 2019 wrap-up.

Unscripted was my first book by Christy and I really enjoyed it.

The story is well written, addictive and HOT. Let me tell you- this is one steamy book. The characters are so great and so lovable. Ronan is one sexy Irishman- I loved him! He’s totally swoon worthy. And Holliday is strong and fearless. Together they have chemistry that will set your kindle on fire.

I thought Unscripted was a lot of fun and it is definitely worth a read!

***updated review*** Ms. Pastore has updated and revised her original book and holy moly she took the book, which was already a 10 to another swoon-worthy hotness level of like 20!!
This was still such an emotional book. You get the hot, handsome Irish hero and the brave, smart, sassy yet tortured heroine who meets the hero and away this book goes. Holliday was minding her own business when she meets these two sweet little girls who look to be without any parents and in trying to find out who they belong to when, she hears the hottest voice and then she sees the body the voice goes to- Ronan Connolly- Hollywood's hottest movie star. He is a single father to the girls-and what a sexy daddy does he make- Holliday and Ronan have this instant and potent connection-the chemistry is immediate –Its Explosive, Hot and full of passionate.
The story is fast-paced and emotional. You get into Holliday’s background and find out why/who is today; why she is fierce woman –she could have fallen apart and become another number but instead came out this gusty and determined woman after all she went thru. She had therapy, the support of friends and family(well mostly from certain people in the family) She meets this awesome guy who happens to be a MOVIE STAR-go figure AND they connect. That is where the title of the book comes in unscripted”-nothing in life is scripted- you go with the flow-take what life throws at you and roll with the punches-literally and figuratively. Ronan is one Irish hottie who is a single dad who happens to be a movie star. He takes being a dad very seriously and when he happen to meet a very sweet and sassy lass who is sexy looking, well, maybe the dating thing he might need to rethink. Their love story will win you over and her story will have you in tears –and their love story is truly heartwarming. Ronan also has an ex wife issue but don’t let the irish accent think he is a push over-nope. She will be schooled. There is drama and angst due to Holliday's past and things end in a cliffhanger which means there is a book 2-- yea- for there is more Ronan and Holliday.
This was at times a bit of a dark story because of some of the backstory of Holliday’s but the love story of Ronan and Holliday’s makes up for it and the HEA sure makes up for it.. I hope Holliday’s sister Charlotte gets her own story-when you read this story, you will understand why say this.

My rating: 4.8 stars *****

The blurb is what initially interested me in reading this book. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. I wanted to know what had Holliday so spooked and Ronan's secrets. The story was fascinating and so good!

I really liked Holliday and Ronan. Actually when it comes to Holliday, like is a weak word. I admire her. She's so strong and has overcome so much, even though sometimes she may seem weak. I admired Ronan for sticking by his women, in as much as he could. There was a moment, when my admiration wavered, but it was temporary.

Parts of this story were dark, but I'm hoping Holliday and Ronan can find a way to turn that painful time into a happy one. I'm really looking forward to reading the sequel because there are certain people who I'd like to see get their comeuppance. There were some really sad moments, some really hot moments, some very funny moments, and some really sweet moments. This book isn't just a romance, there's mystery and suspense. My first book by Christy Pastore has really impressed me. While the story doesn't end on a cliffhanger, I'm still really eager to read the next book and find out what happens!

This is book 1 of The Scripted duet. It is re-released by the author with changes to cover and content.
It was a fun read with somewhat suspense and lots of romance.

Holliday Prescott is a fashion executive in her sister's firm. She has some past(as it always is) but what I liked is she has worked hard on overcoming it.

She was staying at The York when she meets the handsome, famous Hollywood star Ronan Connolly. There meeting was sooo cute!!! 🔥😍

Ronan was smart, sexy and kind. He knew from the start what he wanted and tried everything to achieve it. He was always fighting for "them".
On the other hand Holliday kind of irritated me with her back and forth😪.
Every filthy promise he whispers I crave it

It has low drama(just as I prefer).
Overall it was good and Thank God we don't have to wait for book 2. Because story was captivating and though ending was not a cliffhanger, I cannot leave it on not knowing what will happen next😋. So I started the 2nd blok right away.

Thank you so much to the author and foreword pr for providing me the ARC in exchange for an honest review

Oh my......so after a long and cold shower, I'm all ready to finally write my review for this amazing book.

Like the synopsis said, this is not your typical Hollywood, boy meets girl story. While Ronan is the hottest thing on the Hollywood planet in this book (and I mean HOT in the hottest sense possible), Holliday also has made a name for herself, so both of them are no strangers to spotlight. When they meet, through the CUTEST way possible (just ask Christy, I loooooooooved it), sparks were flying right away. And with a hot Irish guy like Ronan, no wonder. It was bound to happen. Plus, have you seen Christy's muse for Ronan?? Hello!!!! Talk about hotness right there!

The story itself slowly unfolds from then on. Both of them get involved in a whirlwind of passion, where some might say: oh wow, this happens too fast, and others go like: sometimes life works mysterious ways. And it does, I can tell you that from experience. If you meet the one you love, it doesn't matter if you know after a week, a month or a year. You just know. And this is the beauty of this book: both characters are grown people, that have been through a lot in their life, no matter what position they might hold or better said, what job they have.

Holliday has psychological scars that run so deep, and yet only made her a stronger person that knows exactly what she does and doesn't want from life. She hasn’t let what has happened to her change her in any way. She used all those experience to come out stronger.
And Ronan....Oh my Ronan! He's completely gorgeous and you don't even realise how he messes with your head....and other parts of your body! He’s a total package or Irish hotness! Plus, he does have a dirty mouth on him. Oh boy does he ever! But, there are moments where his gentleman-like speech comes out, and he's all sophisticated, but once the door opens, the things that come out of his mouth are just....*excuse me while I go fan myself*

This story is HOT. All kinds of HOT, so be prepared for lots of hotness. And have I mentioned hot?? I'm gonna go take a cold shower again. However, I will say that there were some moments where I felt that it was a little too much sex...believe me, I can't believe that I'm saying this myself, but at times it felt that the story could benefit just a little more from a little less of it.

Another great thing about this book: One thing I already realized when reading "Fifteen Weekends", Christy's first work, is that she's extremely detail-oriented. The explanations are very clear and make it easy for you to picture every scene in your head. And I mean EVERY scene LOL I loved that though, already have with Fifteen Weekends. So the style of writing I definitely enjoy.

What we get to experience with this book are the first days of the passion that binds Ronan and Holliday together. We see how insecure it can make you feel to want someone more than you think possible, and also not being able to get enough of that person.

So if you haven't added this book to your TBR, you should definitely do it <3 Get it now!!!!
Yours,
Yvi

UnScripted is the first book by Christy Pastore that I have read and I will be reading more from her in the future.

UnScripted is a story that sucks you in and makes you unaware of everything else going on around you. I read this story in one sitting and it was one wild ride. The writing flowed wonderfully, and I really enjoyed this story.

This book was a little different from books that I normally read. This is one of those insta-love stories-which I usually hate but the way it was written didn’t bother me.

You all know that I love strong heroines. Well, Holliday was a strong heroine. She could stand on her own and I admired her for that. She was tough. One word that would describe Ronan is: swoon worthy. I can also add: hot, protective, and funny-at times. Ronan is a single father, and a famous actor. I absolutely loved Ronan. You guys will love him too!

When Holliday and Ronan first meet, Holliday is immediately attracted to him. But, she is unsure of how feels and what his intentions are. She is unable to fight the attraction and things that she feels for Ronan so she gives in, pretty much instantly. Ronan doesn’t believe in love, except for the love that he has for his daughters. He is always in the public’s eye and he’s very closed off emotionally. Little by little his walls begin breaking and he slowly lets Holliday inside. Holliday is also closed off because she has a painful past. It takes time for Holliday to open up about her past with Ronan. He is there for her every step of the way and I really loved how protective he was.

Here’s why the insta-love didn’t bother me much in this novel: the characters actually take time to learn about each other. They open up to one another. The love isn’t totally instant, but their attraction is, and their relationship does take time to develop. These characters talk about their feelings and open up to each other, they help each other fight their demons along the way. I hope that makes sense. They fall for each other early on, but before declaring love and all that, they do take time to develop an actual relationship.

Christy Pastore did an incredible job at writing this story. You could feel the tension, the emotions, and the secondary characters were amazing. The only problem that I had was that I didn’t really connect with Holliday and Ronan. But I expect that I will connect more with them as their story continues.

This story is full of steam, passion, and intensity. If you love books with a lot of steamy scenes, then this book is for you. If you love single dads who are protective, then this book is for you.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this baby, and what an enjoyable read! I fell in love with Ronan immediately. How could I not?... He's charming, sophisticated, INCREDIBLY SEXY, oh, and did I mention Scottish? {swoon!}

Unscripted, like Fifteen Weekends, is well written and pulls you right in. I was swept away from page one and pulled into the whirlwind romance between Holliday and Ronan. Holliday is feisty - which I LOVED - yet is also slightly tortured by a horrible attack from her past - one that continues to plague her despite her growth and strength. Ronan, the ever-dashing gentleman, falls head first for Holliday, wanting nothing more than to love and protect her, shelter her and save her from her tormented past. I want my OWN Ronan! Let me tell you, these two light up the pages! Their steamy - and let me say it again, STEAMY - scenes are unbelievable. Crazy hot!

I thoroughly enjoyed Unscripted and can't wait to get my hands not the next instalment! Hopefully we won't be waiting too long!

Cheers,

We have all had teenage fantasies of meeting a famous actor and having them fall madly in love with us. (Sigh…to dream) But…what if it actually came true!

Holliday meets Ronan, an Irish movie star, who completely sweeps her off her feet. But is it all too good to be true?

I loved this story and these characters. Holliday is awesome and I heart her! She has suffered a horrific ordeal but it only makes her stronger. No playing a victim for our feisty lady!

And Ronan!!! He is hotter than Hades and makes me want to rush off to Ireland to meet a roguish man of my own! He is sexy, funny and totally smitten (yes, a man can be smitten too!) by Holliday!

The attraction and chemistry between these two (between the sheets and out) is an inferno!!!! HOT HOT HOT!

I am a new fan of Christy’s and her second novel does not disappoint!!!

READ IT NOW!

There's not enough stars to describe this book!! I fell in love with Holliday since page 1, her beauty, passion, her mind, soul and kindness! Ronan turned out to be a good dude and I found some similarities with him and that's how I know it was going to be a good book! Holliday didn't have an easy start on life thanks to her f*** up ex and something that he did to her that made me want to kill him, but she put through and fought like the strong woman she is! Ronan too had to deal with some problems with his ex-wife before meeting Holliday. Oh not to mention 2 little girls that will make you want to hug your kindle or ipad.. I won't lie there are some moments where I really wanted to scream and shout at Holliday for being stubborn and some of her actions that I didn't like, but in the end it was an amazing story! I can't wait for the next book! fall can't come soon enough

Oh Ronan!

Unscripted from Christy Pastore was worth the wait!! She truly is the #RonanMaker.

The story follows Holliday and Ronan as their relationship changes. She's tries to hold back due to the relationships she had previously.

Ronan is a the single hot Irish actor and a father of two gorgeous girls!

Holliday meets these two wonderful girls in a lobby of a hotel in New York and her life changes. She's sassy and gives it to Ronan from the get go.

This book is different from Christy's previous book but it does not disappoint. It's full of laughs and lots of "fucks". Not your typical holly weird story. You will love how Ronan supports Holliday as their relationship grows and becomes "more".

If you are in the mood for a steamy read, with lots sex scenes this is the book for you! I was fortunate enough to be gifted with an ARC for a fair review. A fan of Christy's after reading Fifteen Weekends ( a great read BTW) I have to say this was decidedly more naughty than I expected.

An interesting story about 2 people with a lot of baggage and chemistry that will not be denied. A long time fan of the naughty man, Ronan fits that bill to perfection. A long time fan of complicated and wounded heroines, Holliday is just the right blend of tragedy and spunk.

This book sizzles on the pages. My rating: 5 STARS.
January 20, 2019
There are three very important things to know about this book. One- the hero is a single dad, two- he has a sensuous Irish lilt and three-he’s a sexy movie star. Those three things resulted in me fanning my face a lot and a massive explosion of my ovaries!

Ronan is almost too good to be true and every woman’s dream man. He’s romantic, charming and his debonair persona is ever so swoon worthy. Holliday is America’s sweetheart and beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. This coupled with her independent spirit, classy and kind hearted demeanor; made her a wonderful heroine. She’s familiar with the Hollywood scene as her stepfather owns a movie production company in Los Angeles. She’s also an executive assistant at her sister’s fashion design company in New York which often caters to photo shoots and movie sets. I was in awe of her as she is a survivor of a horrific crime that happened to her years ago. She possesses an incredible amount of strength and I loved that she doesn’t it let it define her.

There are so many things that I loved about Unscripted and one thing that stood out the most was Ronan and Holliday’s instant connection. There was no delay or drawn out storyline as it was quick and to the point. Those two were like magnets and I just knew they were going to have explosive sexual chemistry. When they consummated their relationship, I was not disappointed in the least. All of their sexual encounters were so tantalizing and naughty. Just the way I like it!

Unscripted also has some angsty moments as Ronan and Holliday attempt to navigate through their new relationship while dealing with demons from the past and present. There are several people who were out to destroy them with lies, blackmail and manipulation. This made the plot even more engaging and I couldn’t put this book down. It’s a definite must read. The best news is, Unscripted is book one in a duet and Perfectly Scripted, the second book is available at the same time!!

Ronan and Holliday’s story is one that swept me away from the beginning to the cold streets of New York City and celebrities. This story is beautifully penned with depth and meaning, not only taking you on a romance but also sharing a message of strength that exists after living inexplicable experiences.

Pastore, using her signature imagery, will pull at your emotions, placing you front and center, as if you were living the scenes along with the characters. Like it’s very own Hollywood movie.

I’m excited to continue the journey with these characters and watch the rest of their story unfold. A definite must-read!

In part 1 of The Scripted Duet, Unscripted, we meet our couple, Holliday & Ronan, when his adorable daughters immediately find a connection with Holliday in the lobby of the York Hotel. Of course, Ronan, being the arrogant Hollywood star that he is, immediately suspects Holliday of having an angle when he sees how much she was enjoying her meeting with his daughters. Men... but Holliday, being the awesome character she is, immediately puts him in his place, and the soon after, the chase is on as Ronan realizes just how much he wants the feisty, beautiful Holliday.

I loved Unscripted. The chemistry between Holliday and Ronan is electric, and more importantly, Holliday is the perfect match for Ronan and the perfect person to keep him on his cocky toes and bring him to his knees. Holliday in particular, stood out in this first installment, and I loved finding out her backstory. She's so strong, and has gone through so much at the point where she meets Ronan, and I love that she didn't just simper at his feet the way he was expecting.

EDITED:

I was asked to BETA read the newer version of this love story. Although I really enjoyed it the first time around, second time is definitely a charm. Holliday is more self-assured even with her sad history, she becomes a survivor rather than a victim. Ronan, is still hot, alpha and at first a jerk towards Holliday (I mean given his star status, I can understand why), but what's undeniable is his attraction and chemistry with Holliday. His daughters are still equally adorable. If you have not had a chance to read yet, definitely add to your TBR.

Review 4 Stars

Holliday Prescott is minding her own business having a delicious Chocolate Kiss at The York, the hotel she’s staying just to give her sister and her brother-in-law some privacy, plus she wants some of her own to decompress, when two precocious little darlings almost knock her drink onto herself. These two adorable munchkins belong the very hot action movie star, Ronan Connolly. How lucky is Holliday? Ronan is instantly smitten with Holliday that he invites her to dinner as a thank you for rescuing his daughters.

I liked Holliday from the start of the book. Besides being awe struck that a movie star would want to have dinner, let alone one that she has been crushing on for a while. Holliday immediately receives a gift from Ronan (a beautiful dress), but typical girl that she is, doesn’t have the right accessories, etc. Their initial dinner plans were good, but I sensed Ronan was not too happy with Holliday not wearing his present. Holliday is really spunky, so that dinner was fascinating lol. Ronan and Holliday’s attraction and chemistry was so hot.

Oh Ronan, you Irish Rogue you! He was very swoony and very Alpha with his dirty talk (superhot). Ronan is overly protective of Holliday, although he means well, it comes off a little over-the-top. When I was reading Holliday’s back story, what she went through was not an experience any woman should go through, but what I loved most is that it didn’t define her, it made her into the strong independent woman that she is now. She is a very strong woman. As I mention, Ronan, bless his heart, he needs to see that Holliday is no wilting flower.

This is my first read of a Christy Pastore novel and she did not disappoint. She gives you dueling POVs, which I personally love. Ms. Pastore can write some hot, steamy, just take off your panties while you at it, sexy times! Yes, there is a cliffhanger, but don’t worry, Perfectly Scripted is already out so don’t get all crazy on me. I cannot wait to read the conclusion of the story.

You know how we all have that actor we day dream about on occasion; what would happen if we actually met them, how they would fall madly, deeply in love with us and we would get whisked away into their fairytale life (or maybe that is just me when I think about Jamie Dornan...regardless you get what I'm saying) Well this book brings you right into that fantasy But fair warning it is not all a fairytale because, well that would be boring.
Let's start with Holliday (just have to mention by the way we get some great names in this book) when I first met her I thought "oh here we go again some chick that had something terrible happen to her and is now going to wine about it the whole book & push the Hero away at every turn until I give up reading and bash my head in with my kindle." SO NOT THE CASE! In fact I was shown pretty quickly how Holliday was not your typical heroine. I don't want to give too much away but I will say this; she let a moment that could have destroyed her make her stronger and you end up really not only loving Holliday but respecting her! Thank God the author did not go the formulaic weak whiny girl route.
Now enough about Holliday...let us get to the naughty Irishman with the wicked tongue. Ronan Connoly...what I wouldn't give to be locked in a penthouse with him for a weekend. He's an actor, a father(amen for sexy dads), and a gentleman...well...until you get him into bed, or a bathroom, or a...never mind ;).
This book was more than just your regular girl meets famous actor scenarios. There are twist and turns and Holliday is anything but regular and definitely a woman that can handle the hectic world of Ronan. I was enthralled with the story and devoured the big in a matter of hours...and now can't wait to read it again. And definitely can not WAIT for the sequel. This is a perfect holiday read and just wait until you get to the epilogue...hello Ronan!
