Autumn comes after the rains. It covers the months of September and October. The sky is now colourful. Clouds sail across the clear sky giving the sights to see. At night the sky is set with countless stars. The silver moon is seen shining among them. The morning dews twinkle like diamonds on the ground. The green fields are filled with golden paddy. The farmers remain busy in the field. They reap the fruits of their labour. Autumn is most favourite for its festivals. It is the season of pujas. Durga' puja, the most favourite festival of Bengal is held in autumn. Dewali follows.
