Autumn Season |
Autumn comes after the rains. It covers the months of September and
October. The sky is now colourful. Clouds sail across the clear sky giving the
sights to see. At night the sky is set with countless stars. The silver moon is
seen shining among them. The morning dews twinkle like diamonds on the ground.
The green fields are filled with golden paddy. The farmers remain busy in the
field. They reap the fruits of their labour. Autumn is most favourite for its
festivals. It is the season of pujas. Durga' puja, the most favourite festival
of Bengal is held in autumn. Dewali follows.

The whole of Bengal now wears a
festive mood. Long holidays help people to go out on short trips. Business
eagerly awaits the season. The autumn of Bengal was praised by the poet
Rabindranath who called it 'the king of the seasons'. It is the season to enjoy
the sights and sounds of nature. It is the time to promote friendship and
togetherness with family and friends.
