Open House Macau (OHM) is delighted to announce that over 100 volunteer applications have been received for the event over the past two months of open call. OHM expresses the biggest appreciations for all the enthusiastic support.

This is a talented and diverse group of volunteers from different backgrounds and nationalities, with over 40% university students, all willing to engage with visitors to uncover the architectural history of Macau.

OHM volunteers will be the face of OHM, being assigned in different buildings and providing services such as guiding and managing visits, answering enquiries and welcoming visitors in each venue.

OHM curator, Nuno Soares, shows gratitude to the great support of OHM from different communities. “The number of applications for volunteering at OHM has definitely exceeded our expectations and we are also surprised by the diversifying backgrounds of the applicants. This shows the commitment and interests of the community towards the city’s architectural and heritage environment.”

Curated and organised by CURB – Center for Architecture and Urbanism, OHM is the first and only Open House event in Asia and will take place on November 10-11. OHM will allow the public to get a glimpse of 50 notable buildings, free for all to join.
