Antonio Pappano to Lead Jette Parker Young Artists in Third ‘Live from Covent Garden’ Concert

The Royal Opera House will continue its “Live from Covent Garden” series on June 27, 2020.

The concert will be hosted by Katie Derham and will feature conductor Antonio Pappano leading the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House in a performance of music by Handel, Donizetti, Rossini, Verdi, Gershwin, Catalani, Leoncavallo, Sorazabal, and others.

The performance will feature singers from the Jette Parker Young Artists Program, including Andrés Presno, Filipe Manu, Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha, Stephanie Wake-Edwards, Patrick Milne and Edmund Whitehead, and Link Artist Blaise Malaba.

There will also be a performance by the First Soloists of The Royal Ballet.

Additionally, the company announced that it will be streaming productions of “Eugene Onegin” and “Tristan und Isolde” on BBC. “Eugene Onegin,” which airs on June 25, stars Simon Keenlyside and Krassimira Stoyanova. Meanwhile, the Wagner masterwork, which will be broadcast on June 27, features Nina Stemme and Stephen Gould as the star-crossed lovers.
