20-year-old Zeeshan Ali and friends rape and murder 10-year-old mentally-challenged sister

In a harrowing incident that came to the fore from Manoharpur, Jaipur, Rajasthan, 20-year-old Zeeshan Ali has been detained by local police for gang-raping his 10-year-old sister, along with three other friends, and murdering her.

Zeeshan Ali hails from a family originally from Bareilly, UP, that had moved to Rajasthan looking for an occupation, and had settled in Todi village after finding a job in local brick kilns.

On May 18th, the father of the deceased girl approached the Manoharpur Police Station, Jaipur to register a report about his 10-year-old daughter who had gone missing since 4 PM, the previous day. The mentally-challenged child, who couldn’t talk or even manage her basic routine by herself, was reported to have disappeared suddenly from their home.

After the report was lodged, hundreds of cops were deployed to carry out the search operation for the child in the nearby area. The search continued for three days after which the dead body of the child was recovered in a decomposed state from the isolated forest areas of Kumbhavas on May 21st. The body was sent for an autopsy to the Forensic Science Laboratory at NIMS Hospital, Chandwaji, where it was established that she had been raped before being strangled to death.

After an extensive investigation, police have zeroed in on the elder brother of the murdered child, Zeeshan Ali, for plotting the rape and murder of his sister. It has been alleged that Zeeshan had talked his sister into accompanying him to a secluded hilly area. He had also invited his three other friends Shajid Ali (19), Amjad Ali (19), and Wajid Ali (20), there. All of them took turns to rape the invalid minor before murdering her. They then removed her clothes and shoes and disposed of them. The corpse was flung into a rivulet flowing by.

Police had been suspicious of the family from the beginning as they never provided any straight responses to the officials during their interrogation and had often contradicted themselves. Jaipur Rural SP Shankar Dutt Sharma shared that they had combed the local forest area doubting that the parents, tired of the mentally challenged girl, had murdered her and buried the dead body there. However, the truth turned out to be more disturbing than what they had anticipated.

“The girl’s brother and his three friends took her to the secluded area probably to kill her but they used the opportunity to rape her. All four accused raped her following which she was strangled to death. The accused even purchased new clothes for the child the day she was kidnapped.” SP Shankar Dutt Sharma stated.

Initially, the murder-accused Zeeshan Ali and his friends had tried to mislead the police and derail their investigation by pretending to help them in looking out for the murdered girl. However, technology frustrated their ploy as CCTV camera footage and mobile call list exposed them for being the real culprits in this heinous crime. All four, Zeeshan Ali, Shajid Ali, Amjad Ali, and Wajid Ali are now under arrest.
