Your Input on ICT Skills Needs in the South-West: Top Gaps Across Key Roles

0%
Following our Industry ICT Skills Requirements Planning Round-Table session in January, we are now seeking data on the specifics of skills gaps across the core 7 occupational roles/priority ICT skills identified by industry at our session .  We are asking companies to select those categories/skills domains most relevant to their company from the 7 ICT skill sets & identify the top three upskilling needs in each within their company, in addition to the top three headline skills gaps at undergraduate level in computer science/BIS/key Level 5 ETB programmes before COB 26th February.  This data will be used to verify gaps in existing education/training courses in a structured, co-ordinated way & the type of content we need to close these gaps.  Your input is vital so we have robust data & evidence from industry to undertake next steps in skills programme development/amendments. This same approach & data provided by the manufacturing, engineering & pharma sectors in the region has led to to new undergraduate modules & new upskilling programmes that companies have since used extensively to meet their skills needs & the Forum is committed to implementing similar skills development supports for the ICT sector with your support.

The information you provide will be used in aggregate format only [your company will not be individually identified at any point] to provide evidence-based guidance to the South-West colleges of skills gaps and will not be used for any other purpose other than education/training programme developments in the South-West.  We will keep you updated of main outcomes and next steps and thank you for your support in the interim.
