I’m not sure I have the patience for more colours…

I enjoyed Dragonfire. But, I can’t help but feel like this series is being DRAGGGGGGGED out. I got to the 95% mark and this happened…
OK, that’s 21 (TWENTY-ONE) colours listed, and that’s not even including Ulrik, V and Roman’s dragons. Ummm…we’re only at #14!! And, let’s not forget “many others that she couldn’t make out in the night”. Bloody Hell!! How many more stories before we even get to see Con and Rhi getting back together.
THEY BETTER BE GETTING BACK TOGETHER!!!!
Mind you, I would want Con to grovel BIG TIME!! He hurt Rhi and we’ve all had to suffer through his separation from her. But, then again, Con has suffered a wee bit too. He is under a lot of pressure to save the world. But, AGAIN, he brings on a lot of suffering because he’s a stubborny nincompoopy “King of the Kings” Dragon King. Con, GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR BUTT AND JUST BEG HER TO FORGIVE YOU!!
Anyways, I really did enjoy Dragonfire and felt that the story flowed well, the characters were interesting and the love story…was…OK…ish. I didn’t really get that whole overwhelming mating ZIP, BAM, BOOM, CRASH…feeling. It was almost disappointing how much it lacked in intensity. These are magical characters and their attraction, need and connection should have jumped off the pages. I even wondered a couple of times whether this was Sabina and Roman’s story or Sabina and V’s story.
It just felt that the love story was added in because it had to be not because these characters needed to be together. Sure, I still got a kick out of catching up with some of the previous characters and enjoyed having another puzzle piece added, I just felt like this game needs to finish. I want a new game to start.
I’m sure Donna Grant has grand plans for the Dark Kings series, and maybe we’ll see more of those colours come to life. I just don’t know if I have the patience to wait for it all to play out. Heaven forbid, I may even be tempted to skip a few, cross my fingers and hope for the best (that I’ll still be able to follow along), and come back for Con (and hopefully Rhi).

But there was no mistaking the gold dragon.

Three and a half
I remember when this series started how exciting and different it was but after a few books if honest I really started to want more answers. I know I wasn't alone in this but luckily the author brought out a series about Reapers that coincides with the action and storyline here so my interest was re-awakened once more.
So here we are at book fourteen and the enemy from the beginning of the series Ulrik has now returned to the Dragon Kings but still they have problems. One problem is V the legendary Dragon who unknowingly started the stories about Dracula and he's struggling against madness as centuries ago his precious sword was stolen from him. Now Roman has agreed to accompany V to his homeland hoping memories will return and with them the knowledge of just who stole the magical sword. Perhaps a Romany woman and her brother will give them answers but in doing so will it trigger a prophecy ?
As much as I liked discovering how the author intends to continue this series if honest I felt a little flat reading this. We know that there are both good and bad Fae and the Kings really still haven't quite overcome the problem of the Light Fae Queen but unfortunately I was frankly bemused by how this story played out. So much has happened and there are still questions I as a reader need answering so to go off on a completely different tangent made me feel let down.
This is a romance so obviously Roman and Sabina are tested but it's perhaps not as steamy as some previous relationships. I'm still wanting more from Rhi and yes I've got my own ideas about who broke her heart but if you are considering reading this for the romance then it does work as a standalone but as someone who has invested in the series it's not my favourite. Oh well perhaps the next Reapers book will further expand this world bringing me closer to the answers I'm dying to know.

I found the heroine and her brother extremely fascinating in Dragonfire. So much so that when the author would change POV's with other Dragon Kings or Rhi, I was impatient to get back to them. Since I enjoy getting everyone's POV, that just speaks to how much I liked these two.
My fascination stems from not only the gypsy background, but I also found both siblings abilities to be pretty cool, especially Camlo's. He uncovered a lot in this book that we didn't know yet. While we got a lot of answers, we also got more questions. However, I still feel like we are a step closer than we were.
Rhi is concerning me and I want her to find happiness. It seems like she just keeps getting kicked down. I love her character and I really want to see her happy in the end. I'm nervous for her.
I love that the Reapers are intermixing with this series and their own. You almost need to read both series as they all publish to stay up to date on everything that is going on. This isn't a hardship since I'm loving both series. ARC provided by NetGalley.

ARC received for review
Roman and V go in search of V's missing sword. They encounter Sabina and her brother, Camlo. I loved Camlo. He was a great addition to the story. Roman and Sabina's journey to find the sword is full of adventure and near mishaps and sexy times in a hot spring or two. They get help from Ulrik, Eilish and Rhi. It's nice to see the other side of Ulrik, and my dislike for V is going away.
Now who the heck are the Others, and how long will it take to get rid of them? Hopefully, not another 20 books.

With book fourteen in the Dragon Kings series, Donna Grant returns with DRAGONFIRE. This book is about Roman and Sabina. Generally, I really like both the heroes and heroines in this series. They are strong without being so in your face about it and although there wasn’t anything specific that I hated about these two characters, I also didn’t fall in love with them the way I thought that I would.
I enjoyed the subtle differences that Grant added into this book. I liked Sabina’s backstory and her personality, but she doesn’t come across as a heroine that will stick with me. I would describe this book as a slow burn because everything, even the romance, does take a while to heat up.
Grant’s style of romance never has been that intense. However, it is still potent enough to hold my attention. Unfortunately, this time I didn’t feel the burn quite as strongly this time. But I can still say that I’m a fan of this series. Grant’s paranormals are my favorites of hers and despite not being completely won over by Roman and Sabina’s story this time around, I will still continue to read this series.

3.5 stars for the relationship as it took a backseat in this 14th Dark Kings novel. 4 stars for the quest and the details surrounding what’s coming.
Dragonfire takes place outside of Scotland as we follow Roman and V on the quest to find V’s sword. A sword that will bring all the dragons home. As they travel through the Carpathian Mountains they come upon a man who can speak to animals and his older sister. Sabina has been protecting and caring for her brother, Camlo, since the death of her parents. Aside from his gift with animals, he has a mental disability and can’t fully care for himself. Sabina descends from a Romani family and has the gift of sight. V and Roman soon realize the siblings may be able to help V regain his memories of when his sword was taken from him.
Sabina and Camlo are immediately swept up in the search for the sword and join the Dragon Kings to Roman’s homeland, Iceland. As they journey into a cave, they realize that magic is at work as there are drawings that show events in the past and predictions of the future.
What I liked about the book is that we get more information about who may be against the Dragon Kings and some foreshadowing regarding Rhi. But more information isn’t necessarily answers. Just more pieces of the puzzle that we have to wait to figure out. I also liked that we got more of V (guessing his novel is next) and Ulrik was a prominent secondary character.
I wish that Roman and Sabina had more of a spark. As Roman is the Dragon who rules over the land of Fire and Ice, I found it ironic that there wasn’t more passion between them.

Dragonfire was a pretty good book but it did feel like it was dragging in some areas. I liked getting to know more about the legendary dragon, named V, and I do have some favorite characters here and there that made me happy.. but the little drama or relationship testing was meh to me this time around. Maybe I need a break from the romance department?
My love for Rhi grows more and more. I seriously can't get enough of her and I just want her to be freaking happy for once. Can someone please heal her broken heart now? Then there's Roman and Sabina.. and I'm like, eh. They were cute - I guess. Out of that couple, I enjoyed getting to know Sabina's brother - lol, yes .. you read that right. Camlo was amazing and I just enjoyed the crap outta him.
Other than all of that, I loved this book. I can't wait to dive into the next one because I'm secretly still hoping for Rhi to find happiness now! PLEASE LET IT HAPPEN!

I finally got the chance to listen to this! I've been waiting months to do continue this series and I got so excited last night when I got the opportunity to start this. But for some reason, the file I listened to had some formatting issues (or something or wrong with it) because while I listened to it, it kept repeating already played chapters/scenes and it would cut in the middle of a scene with some characters and jump in the middle of someone's scene to a completely different character. So that was annoying as hell.
But I'm still glad I got the opportunity to listen to this now. It wouldn't surprise me if I go back and do a re-read of this series in the future since it's one of my all time favorite series, so I'm hoping the problems I had today with the audio file will be fixed.
And I have an e-book arc of this but decided to listen to the audio book instead because I really enjoy listening to this series. Thank you, NetGalley!
Anyways, off to my re-read/listen of Dragon Claimed!

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

The cover has a beautiful light blue dragon.
This is the 14th book in the series. I wish I have read them all, but this is the 3rd one I’ve read. It is for adults only due to the steamy content.
All of my favorite characters were in this book, and some new ones were added. Rhi and Eilish are awesome women. They are snarky and awesome. Sabina is just as awesome. There is mystery and adventure about the Others in this book that adds to the ever growing questions and what the Kings have to deal with. Sabina and Roman and put through the paces, and Sabina’s brother is sweet and has some amazing gifts. Roman and V are trying to find V’s sword, and they found some help with Sabina and her brother. As always with the Kings, there is a lot going on which keeps you engaged in their story. Sabina and Roman are going through a lot trying to get through the obstacles put in place by the Others.
Donna Grant does a fabulous job to engaging you in the mystery and adventure to find V’s sword. I love that gypsies are part of the story, and they have gifts that they are using to help the Kings. She does a fantastic job with the dramatic parts where Sabina is involved.
I highly recommend any of the Dark Kings books because they have adventure, shifters, romance, fae, Druids, and so much more!

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. This is the fourteenth book in a series. This was a really enjoyable book. I really loved Sabina and Roman. Sabina is so warm and loving. And I absolutely adore her brother and the relationship they share. The events happening throughout the book made me want to read faster and faster to see how everything was going to shake out. I can't wait to read book fifteen.

Oh how I love this series by Donna Grant. Dragons have always been mysterious. I loved watching a cartoon about one as a child. So it doesn't surprise me that I would enjoy reading about them now, as an adult.

This story is pretty bumpy in it's findings. There's a lot going on with the dragons and the involvement of Sabina and her family. The author doesn't disappoint in her writing and I loved how she incorporated the other paranormal's into the story to help figure out what's happening to the dragons and why. It's one of the many reasons I enjoy reading this series. I hope you do too!
Oh how I love this series by Donna Grant. Dragons have always been mysterious. I loved watching a cartoon about one as a child. So it doesn't surprise me that I would enjoy reading about them now, as an adult.

4.5 Stars The fourteenth book in the Dragon Kings series, Dragonfire brings us Roman and Sabina. I enjoyed this story and like getting more of an insight into V. These characters are well developed and the interaction between all of them is engaging and the well written story make it a wonderful read.

Things are changing in the Dark Kings series. It felt like the last book, Torched, was the end of one chapter and this book the beginning of the next. I admit to be fascinated by the direction the series is going. The Kings have believed they knew who their enemies were. It's a long list but they knew where the problems were. But this author has turned the tables on her own characters. Broadening the scope of their world and realizing there is so much more going on, this book sets a new stage. And it is so much bigger than this one realm.
As always, I really enjoy this world. I love fantasy that is tucked inside our own world, urban fantasy. This world does a great job of being the home to many different creatures while the humans go about their lives never knowing what's up. Adding to that world this time are the gypsy's. Sabina has never embraced her magical gifts but her brother has. Together, they open up this world to something so much more than it was. I'm excited to see what happens next.

Roman is loyal to his friend V and drawn to Sabina. He's cautious but can't seem to resist her. Trying to understand her and her brother, he becomes protective of both. Taking risks and coming to terms slowly of who she is to him, Roman is an amazing Dragon King. As for Sabina, she speaks to my heart. Her devotion to her brother touches me. I admire and love her. But her strength to do what is right by Roman and V is a strength of character that makes her an amazing heroine.
I am concerned about Con in this book. Things are changing there too and I hope that Ulrik can hold him together. Definitely has me wondering about where things are going. Reading on.
I was very impressed with the writing in this one. To rewrite what the readers had experienced in the first 13 books expanding it and creating a new direction takes amazing talent. And I'm very excited to continue for many books to come.
The books really should be read in order. But if you were going to start somewhere within the series, I'd start here. It's a new chapter. Old adversaries have been defeated and old friends reunited already. This one starts something new.
Fans of the series will love it and new fans will definitely enjoy it.

Dragon Kings Roman and Vlad are in Romania searching for V’s sword that was stolen from him eons ago, losing the Dragon King’s ability to call their dragon’s back from another world. Planning to go over every inch of the Carpathian Mountains if necessary, they unexpectedly stumble upon Sabina and Camlo, gypsy half siblings, and discover more than they’d ever hoped to.
Ulrik’s story (Torched) was such an anticipated and more-than delivered-tale of redemption for me, so I was expecting more for Dragonfire. I think it fell flat. At least the romance did. No sizzling chemistry or tugs on the heartstrings between Roman and Sabina was something I found frustrating. They just...I don’t know...meandered? their way though the story leaving me feeling meh when I finished.
Overall, the story was okay. There was a lot happening at different levels and the details seemed to bog down the plot. This wasn’t one of my favorite books in the series and felt like a filler the way it plodded along.
Dragonfire is Book 14 in the Dragon King series and while it isn’t necessary to read the entire 30+ book series in order, the multitude of characters and politics can be overwhelming at times. I find reading the shorter series within the world easier to pick up the finer details and follow along with minimal difficulty.

Science Fiction and Donna Grant is a perfect match. She writes amazing stories of which Dragonfire is the 14th in the Dark Kings series. Lots of amazing couples have fallen in love on her pages. That is the only down side is keeping them all straight. But I love the dragon tales the best! King Roman is on a mission to find a stolen sword and stumbles onto a gypsy and her brother. Lots of unique ideas in this one. Pick up Dragonfire and soar in the sky with it. "A copy of this book was provided by St. Martin's Press via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. The Dark Kings series is one I've been following for awhile now and I love those dragons. I was seriously curious as to what we were going to focus on as a story arc now that Ulrick's story had been told. We still have the Fae, led by Balladyn causing chaos. However, Balladyn seems to be more focused on Rhi. We also have the Light Queen, Usaeil. She's definitely a problem for the Kings now. But the big storyline is the wooden dragon found by Dmitri and the spell it is wrapped in that is steeped in both Druid and Fae magic.
Vlad has been looking for his sword every time he wakes. It is his main focus. Roman decides he is going to make the trip to Vlad's homeland and help V look for it. There they meet Sabina and her brother who both happen to be descendants of gypsies from the area. There was very little preamble with the Kings pretending to be human. They were pretty much outed right away, and Sabina and her brother already knew about Dragon Kings so that part was easy.
Ironically, as the story unfolds, the path of the sword takes them to Iceland, Roman's homeland. However, their path has been pre-destined. There are major forces at work. V finds that he is getting better along the way, thanks to Camlo, but that doesn't mean the magic is gone. It just changes targets.
I really enjoyed the characters in Dragonfire. Sabina was a great heroine. She was human with great determination and an instant attraction to Roman. This kind of surprised me because knowing this book was about V's sword, I thought the love story would be V's. I think that the romance between Roman and Sabina was sweet. Don't get me wrong, the sex scene was hot. But the romance itself was good.
The path to the sword kind of reminded me of an Indiana Jones adventure. The trek through the tunnels for Roman and Sabina, with it's trials and tricks had me on my toes. Sabina comes to a point where she has to face her greatest fear for her love. I have a same fear and I could completely understand how much it took for her to do what she did. Also, the completion of one of the prophesies was surprising for me because I didn't anticipate it going the way it did.
There was one issue I had that maybe other readers of this series can help me with. I've never seen the other Dragon Kings use magic the way that Roman and V did. Creating balls of light, magically dressing themselves, etc. In previous books, someone has always been handy with a pair of jeans for shifting, but V and Roman were both able to dress themselves. For some reason, that drove me nuts. They did it a couple of times, but then another situation had one King providing jeans for another. It was kind of confusing for me. I knew each King had a power or certain magic, but what the Kings were doing in Dragonfire was beyond just their specific power. So, the consistency with the previous books had me somewhat confused.
In Dragonfire, we learn bit by bit how powerful this force of the Fae & Druid (Others) power is. We even get treated to a bit of an introduction to the Others so we can start to put names to the enemy. Also, the hope that finding V's sword brings to the Kings appears to have a problem. AND the next pairing gets introduced I think. It left openings for the next book with the only completion being the HEA. I was definitely left wanting more. No cliffhangers, just a desire to continue on with each the storylines.
Despite having some consistency issues, I really enjoyed the adventure our characters had. I'm left fearful for the kings and anxious about the progression of all the possible story lines. I'm also still DYING to know... WHO IS RHI'S KING??

"Dragonfire" begins with Sabina, a Romani woman who left her traveling family with her mother when she was little- but not before her grandmother passed down an important story about Dragon Kings, men who can shift into and rule over dragons, and what her ancestors had done. Fearing for the foretold future, they stole a sword from a Dragon King, Vlad and hid it away, none of them knowing where it was currently hidden. Sabina has carried the story and the gift of her family- Sight, the ability to see into the future. She now lives with her brother, Camlo, who is described as having the mind of a child.
Camlo also has another gift- he can communicate with animals. This is why he and Sabina also have numerous animals living on their land which they take care of. Everything is about to change when Camlo notices notices something in the night sky- two Dragon Kings who are searching for the sword their ancestors stole.
Roman is accompanying Vlad (mostly known as simply "V") on his quest to find his sword. However, his mind has been altered by magic (combination of Druid and Fae most likely), and this leads to disastrous consequences any time he seeks the sword. When they find Camlo and Sabina, Camlo's knowledge of the sword and events is far more than anyone could have expected, and thus, they need to bring him- and thus his sister- on their quest. Traveling to Iceland in search of the sword, their journey is far more perilous than they could have imagined- and Sabina is to play a more vital role than expected.
With interspersed chapters from Rhi and others (including Con and Ulrick), this story follows the journey to find the sword and uncover the magics at play with consequences for Dragon Kings and humanity. While Roman and Sabina spend some time getting to know each other, it often felt a little forced to me, and I would have liked more focus on the two of them and their romance, to really build it up. The quest was the real story here, but I was hoping for more steamy romance (there are a couple good scenes, but between the quest and others' points-of-view, it doesn't really focus on the leading couple). With the chapters that focused on others, which I know are necessary for the overall story between books, the romance felt a little broken (we'd start to build it up and then go elsewhere, which detracted from the in-depth feelings on my side, and I would have to work mentally to get back into it).
In terms of the story, everything was so well explained that this can be read as a stand-alone. Although the ending is a little open, the major storylines in this book were wrapped up so no big cliffhangers. I really liked Sabina and Camlo's characters also with their unique gifts- they brought a lot to the table and made for a unique story when combined with the Dragon Kings. Overall, I enjoyed the fantasy and adventure elements but would have liked even more romance! I am very interested in seeing where the overall story goes next.

I like that Roman insists on helping V find his sword, so he is no longer driven insane by its absence. He cares enough about his friend to keep V from doing something he may later regret while in madness’s grip. I adore how conscious Roman is of Sabina’s fears. He is always mindful of her limitations, so Roman continuously gives Sabina the option to back out anytime she wants. But, what I like most about Roman is how Sabina’s presence helps him finally confront his past. She gives him the resolve to finally lay it to rest for good.
I adore the fact that Sabina is Romani. There are not too many gypsy characters outside of Historical Romance. I admire Sabina’s determination to fix the wrongs her ancestors wrought. She may not understand their reasons, yet Sabina trusts her instincts and intuition to correct their wrong. I like how Sabina faces her fears throughout the journey. She refuses to let fear keep her from doing what needs done, regardless of the obstacles and dangers in her path. What I love most about Sabina is her fierce protectiveness toward her younger brother. She knows other people are not as accepting to her brother’s handicaps, so she refuses to let people take advantage of him.
DRAGONFIRE is book fourteen in Donna Grant’s paranormal series, DRAGON KINGS. It is necessary to read the previous books in the series, especially HEAT, book twelve, to better understand the ongoing plot. I like how the Dragon Kings are learning about their newest foe. I suspect the author plans to divulge little tidbits about the Others in future books, so not to bombard readers with information, which I appreciate. I enjoy learning new info about the enemies alongside the characters in the story.

Well this was a fun book and it actually was better than what I had been expecting. I did just jump right into the middle of this series so a few things in the plot was a little bit confusing but I was able to catch on pretty quickly... And the main story itself was very easy to follow. I have never read a story where dragons can turn into men before (and I still think that is kind of weird) but it is what it is.
So this is the story about two dragons named Roman and V (Vlad). Long ago someone had stolen Vlad's sword and this causes all sorts of problems. Worst of all his memory is wrecked so he cannot remember what happened the day the sword was stolen. Then there is this human girl named Sabina who is a gypsy. She takes care of her younger brother Camlo who is very unique: he cares for animals and his is challenged socially (he has a disability). Sabina was told by her grandmother when she was just 5 years old about the Dragon Kings and the stolen sword. But she never dreamed she would meet real dragons.
Of course she meets V and Roman. But should she trust them? Can she? And should she help them find the missing sword?
Parts of the story was kind of predictable. Obviously. You know from the beginning that she would wind up with the dragon. (Which I have to admit I do not understand at all why a giant lizard would take a human for a mate? Dragons are not even mammals...) There were weird sentences throughout the book where one minute the dragons seem to have a Scottish accent and then later it was gone? I didn't understand that. It was weird.
The "adventure" part in the second half of the book seemed to be drawn out. Instead of caring about the characters - even during these life threatening situations - I instead found myself very distracted. I was also somewhat annoyed that the scenes would cut to some other characters far away and I really didn't understand what that was all about.
And if it were the humans who had stolen the sword than how did it get into that impossible to reach spot??
But yes, I was losing interest at the end.

Dragonfire by Donna Grant is a suspenseful adventure with just enough romance, angst, and mystery all wrapped up in a pair of breathtaking dragons wings. The vivid details pull you into the story. I am in awe. This is just magic.
Sabina and her younger brother Camlo are gypsy descendants. They each have a gift that they have hidden from the world. Sabina has been warned since childhood about the Dragon Kings wanting to take out her kind and because of this, she has kept a low profile. Until Vlad and Roman show up.
Roman and Vlad are the two main Dragon Kings in this book and are just sinfully delicious. Vlad's flippant sense of humor had me laughing out loud several times and Roman, oh Roman, he will just melt your heart. These two are on a quest looking for Vlads sword that was stolen years ago and they stumble upon Camlo in the forest. Some reason there is a pull to Camlo and Sabina but they cannot figure out what or why.
The first book I have read by Donna Grant and I am a FAN FOR LIFE! I just devoured Dragonfire and I wanted to cry!! I did not want it to end, THANK goodness this is a series and I am going to start from the beginning. I am just blown away, where has Donna Grant been all my life? I have been in the wrong cave! I completely geeked out with this book. You had me at Carpathian Mountains, Romania, Ms. Grant.

Dragonfire by Donna Grant is a suspenseful adventure with just enough romance, angst, and mystery all wrapped up in a pair of breathtaking dragons wings. The vivid details pull you into the story. I am in awe. This is just magic.
Sabina and her younger brother Camlo are gypsy descendants. They each have a gift that they have hidden from the world. Sabina has been warned since childhood about the Dragon Kings wanting to take out her kind and because of this, she has kept a low profile. Until Vlad and Roman show up.
Roman and Vlad are the two main Dragon Kings in this book and are just sinfully delicious. Vlad's flippant sense of humor had me laughing out loud several times and Roman, oh Roman, he will just melt your heart. These two are on a quest looking for Vlads sword that was stolen years ago and they stumble upon Camlo in the forest. Some reason there is a pull to Camlo and Sabina but they cannot figure out what or why.
The first book I have read by Donna Grant and I am a FAN FOR LIFE! I just devoured Dragonfire and I wanted to cry!! I did not want it to end, THANK goodness this is a series and I am going to start from the beginning. I am just blown away, where has Donna Grant been all my life? I have been in the wrong cave! I completely geeked out with this book. You had me at Carpathian Mountains, Romania, Ms. Grant.

The editing was not as bad as past books, but it wasn’t the best. It really irks me when I’m really deep into reading and a glaring error pops up and just ruins it. This happens more than it should with this author’s work. I lay the blame on the publisher and the editing staff. For me it really detracts from the quality of the content. I really liked this story.
I have a ton of time invested in this series. I like 99% of the characters. I love the world of the Dragon Kings, Reapers, Warriors, Druids and Fae. I just want the author to slap the stupid out of her publisher and editor. Make them work as hard as the author has creating the world and series.

Roman and V set put for Romania to find V’s sword. Once there they come across Sabina and Camlo who have their own kind of abilities. Sabina quickly realizes they are Kings and V is the one from the story her grandmother told her. Sabina and Camlo join forces with the Kings to locate the sword and right the wrong done by their ancestors.
Roman and Sabina work together through dangerous magic to find V's sword. Along the way they finally admit their feelings. They also uncovered more of the plot against the Kings.
The story is really ramping up and I can't wait to see what is uncovered next.

Roman and Sabine’s story will keep you on the edge of your seat. Dragon fire finally gives us the search for V’s sword, and we find more information on the Fae /Druid alliance. It is truly a story of fire and ice.
If you haven’t read Donna Grant, I can’t recommend The Dragon Kings highly enough. Dragons, Fae, Druids, Humans, Reapers, Death herself, adventure, family, trust, betrayal, romance, love, the Dragon Kings has it all and Donna gives us a world we can only dream of seeing.

A big thank you to NetGalley and St Martin's Press for the ARC.I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of the Dark King's Series. I have found that while I like part of these stories, I truly am not into the entire Fae world. It apparently is not my thing. I just wanted to read about Sabina and Roman, I liked these characters. I skimmed when it wasn't about them. So I have a skewed perspective. 3 stars.

Roman is always making sure his woman doesn't neglect the important things, “doona wait to tell me you need food or water. I tend to forget such things.” Roman really is all for his woman, "Roman paused in buckling his sporran. He grinned when he saw her staring. “If it makes you look at me like that, then I certainly will, lass.” I liked this book, I loved Roman.

This is the fourteenth book in a series. This was a really enjoyable book. I really loved Sabina and Roman. Sabina is so warm and loving. And I absolutely adore her brother and the relationship they share. The events happening throughout the book made me want to read faster and faster to see how everything was going to shake out. I can't wait to read book fifteen

I totally enjoy each line of her writing. I love the characters, the plots the many different levels, the romance, the passion. The suspense and just everything about them! I will say this is a series that is definitely a keeper and one to enjoy over and over again.
