Crew #3

Always Crew

Rate this book
The conclusion of the Crew Series!

For the longest time, I was Bren Monroe.
I lived in Roussou, California.
I had no parents, no brother, but I had a crew.

Then things started to change.
I never planned for any of it.
I didn’t think I’d fall in love.
I didn’t think I’d have a relationship with my brother again.
I didn’t think that he’d come back.

Now I’m in Cain.
My crew is in college.
They’re growing, going through their own things.
And here I am, figuring out my life.

There’s always hurdles and obstacles to overcome.
That was never my hardship.
That was my regular.
But living? Being content? Being happy?
Those were my challenges now.

Everything was going well…
Until it wasn’t. Again.

This was the perfect conclusion to a perfect series. All the feels, all the angst, all the drama, a book that just kept on giving. A series I never wanted to end.

Things get real in College!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
Romance: ❤️💙💜💚💛
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📘📔
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌍
Character development: 😌🤓😬😯🤗

The heroine: Bren Monroe - moves with her three crew mates to college, but she didn’t get in so she gets work with a Bail Bondsman. Her father is out of prison and she always seems to be in the middle of danger.

The Hero(es): Cross Shaw - Bren’s boyfriend and now a college freshman. He recently found out he has a half brother and that brother is now attending the same college. They have a contentious relationship to say the least.

Supporting Characters:
Wolf Crew - Cross Shaw, Bren Monroe, Jordan Pitts, Zellman Greenly;
Cross’s sister & Bren’s Friend - Tasmin (Taz) Shaw who goes to college elsewhere
Bren’s Brother & Crew royalty - Channing Monroe (he started the Crew system); He owns a bounty hunting agency in Roussou.
Heather - Channing’s long time girlfriend.
Cross’s half brother (new information) Blaise Devore (he is a senior at Fallen Crest Academy)
Bren’s Ex Boyfriend - Drake Ryerson - he is in jail for things that happened in previous books.

The Story: The crew is away at college and Bren is bored without any direction in life until her brother uses his contacts to get her a job with some bounty hunters in her neck of the woods. Her crew mates have crazy lives.

Jordan had fallen in love with Tabitha, who was the queen bee at their high school. Zellman still has feelings for a girl name Angeline who is pregnant from Drake Ryerson (Bren’s Ex). Cross does everything he can to support Bren especially when her father gets out of prison. Bren feels guilt for her father serving time.

The storylines about the bounty hunting and the Red Demons motorcycle club were extremely interesting and I liked how Bren is the key character in this series. She is strong, yet she has her crazy times. She is smart and snarky and just all around likable. The narration was great, both male and female narrators.

Everyone that knows me, knows I have a big fangirl crush on Tijan. I love her writing style and someday I am gonna marry Mason... if Sam will let me :P

let's get married gif - Google Zoeken

So with how much I loved the Fallen Crest series, it was almost a given I would love this spin off series as well. Along the way I fell deeply in love with Bren and Cross, but also Jordan and Zellman.

I don't know what it is about teenage angst that makes me crave it so much :P But we got plenty of it in this final part. They are all growing up though...

growing up gif - Google Zoeken

I think this was the perfect conclusion for this series. It gave me all the feels and more. Life after high school isn't always easy and neither is letting go. But no worries, because they will always be Crew!!

Sidenote: this series has a continuing timeline and so it has to be read in order ;)

I can't believe that this book is the end of the Crew series... I loooove how Tijan usually can't say goodbye to her characters either, and with luck, she will miss them at much as I will, and then she'll write more books about them, and I don't have to cry anymore... *Dreamy eyes*

Back to present...  This book is the perfect conclusion for Bren, Cross, Jordan and Zellman's story... Because this isn't just a Romance of a couple's love story...
This is the story of the Wolf Crew.
This is the story of a soulmate.
This is the story of a broken girl learning how to live, and share her life, and to love and to be loved.
This is the story of a broken family...
And the story of a chosen family...
A family not made by blood, but by loyalty, love, respect and protection.

We were Crew, and because of that, they'd been in the darkness with me.
We formed out of necessity, and then that bond strengthened into a vow of family.

In this book our Crew is starting a new life at Cain, all our boys doing their college things, and Bren trying to figure it out what's next in her adulthood's status.

Their life is getting into normalcy, until it isn't anymore, and new issues comes to ruin their peace.

As always, I'll not ruin someone else experience by dropping some spoilers, BUT I have to say that this conclusion is perfect in every single page!

I could see the evolution of them.
I could see their fears, their rage, their doubts, their loyalty, their protection and their love... OMG so much love with this group...

These people were my family. I would die for them, and they'd do the same.

It was a pleasure to read this book not only with POV's of Cross and Bren, but also with one chapter from Jordan and one from Zellman, and was really good to be inside their head at least for a little bit, to know how they really feel, and again, I'm not disappointed at all!

I wanted to punch Blaise right in the face, just for been a prick with his brother, and then hug him until he could feel all the love that he had around him. I loved how their brotherhood grew up, without any of them take notice.

This book was so exciting and full of action, that I finished in 2 days, and now I'm with a hangover and bags under my eyes!
But it soooo worth it!

I just loved everything!
Not a single complaining!

This book is how authors should close their series...
With not only a HEA, but with closure to all our beloved characters.
I'll miss them with all my heart, but I'm really happy with how it ended.

Always Crew is the last installment of the Crew series and instead of taking place in high school, the wolf crew is in college. Well, the three guys are, Bren is working and living with them all. Like the first two, there was some definite drama but I was here for it. I liked that we got not only Bren and Cross’s chapters, but a few from Jordan and Zellman as well.

"He and I. Cross and Bren. All I needed. All I wanted."

I am going to miss this series so much!! The Crew burrowed its way right to my heart and the little family they created against the world was an action packed, heart pounding, and exciting thrill ride from beginning to end. It was different, unique, and fun as all get out to read!! Bren is one of my favorite female leads in her ferocity, her tough, no frills, take-no-prisoners personality surrounded by her boys that always made me smile, swoon, and laugh out loud. Bren really came into her own in this installment, and her relationship with hot as hades Cross blossomed into a quiet storm, complementing each other so much!! I will miss the characters, the storyline, and the entire world it was set in.

Ahhhh! There is nothing I love more than a Tijan story. I have loved the Crew series from the beginning and am so obsessed with the Rousseau world. I absolutely loved this story. I am obsessed with Bren, Cross, Jordan and Zellman and never wanted this series to end!

I absolutely fell in love with Bren and Cross from the first book. Their love and  chemistry is soul deep and just seeing their evolution and growth has been fantastic to see. More than them though, I loved seeing Bren and Channing's relationship and how much they care for one another. This story came full circle and it has been wonderful to read. I hope we see more of these characters in the future! 5 stars! ~Ratula ❤

Tijan is an amazing writer. Easy to read, great prose, effortless spinning of twists and sub plots into the story.

Bren and the Wolf Crew grew on me over their series but I couldn’t connect with them like I did with Sam, Mason and Logan or evening Heather and Channing. It was like I was watching from a long way away and through a filter.

This final book paid a good homage to Bren though but essentially I found that I wasn’t that invested.

Always Crew! Boy, did I miss Bren, Cross, Jordan and Zellman. Lots of twists and action. Bren stayed true to her feisty, kickass self. Cross gave her everything she needed and more. Jordan and Zellman threw me for a loop as always. But...I loved the loyalty and family of Crew. No matter who or what was thrown at them....Crew always comes first. And Blaise! How I loved and missed you as well. So many good scenes filled with angst and emotional heart tugs where the guys and Bren’s bond pulls everyone together and grounds them again. Crew is maturing. Trying to adult. This story was the perfect ending. Healing and happiness.

ALWAYS CREW
● Bren & Cross
● out of high school
● Bren is working for a bowling place and bounty hunter
● Cross is in college
● new challenges with her dad now that he's out of prison
● Zellman & Jordan get a chapter each dedicated to them
● final book with a couple of epilogues

In school, there are 2 types of people: Normals and Crew.
The Normals are the cheerleaders, jocks, members of the debate team, or on the yearbook committee.
The Crew is like one big family. “You go after one, you go after all. You know the rules.”

Wolf Crew members :
Cross
Bren - the only girl in the crew
Jordan
Zellman

Bren's ex, Drake, was the leader of another crew: Ryerson Crew. After he graduated Alex Ryerson (Drake’s brother) took over.

Taz is Cross’s twin sister & Bren’s only female friend
Blaise is Taz & Cross’s half-brother. He’s a senior at Fallen Crest Academy.

Race Ryerson (Drake & Alex’s cousin) is Taz’s boyfriend

There are two characters in The Crew Series that first appeared in Fallen Crest: Heather and Channing.
None of the crew characters appear in the Fallen Crest books.

Channing is Bren’s brother and her caretaker. Founder of the Crew system. Now owns his father’s bar: Tuesday’s Tits
Heather is Channing’s girlfriend and she owns a bar in Fallen Crest.

I honestly think i’m going to cry!! I’m not ready to say my goodbyes to Bren and crew… but alas all good things must come to an end.

About Always Crew:

Always Crew is the third and final book in the Crew series. This novel is told from both Bren and Cross’ point of view. With a few exceptional chapters in Jordan and Zellman’s point of view.

After years of unknowing what she wants to do with her life, Bren has finally found her calling as a bounty hunter. But when a blast from her past comes back in her life, those dreams are about to be jeopardized. With her crew at her back, she can face anything and anyone.

My Thoughts:

It’s a bittersweet feeling when you pick up the final book in a series. I’ve grown to love the crew and admire them for their close knit friendship. No matter what happens, they’ve always got one another’s backs. My love for Tijan’s writing has grown throughout the years. Every series is a new adventure. I love the camaraderie within the pages of her novels.

I think the thing I loved most about the Crew series was watching Bren grow and evolve into the person she was always meant to be. Her character showed true strength throughout the series, but especially in Always Crew. I also loved the fact that Cross seemed to step into the ‘leader’ roll more in Always Crew. He was the protector, he’d do harm to anyone who dare threaten his loved ones, and it showed.

If I could mention one downside it would be the ending felt extremely rushed. I would have loved more of a glimpse into the future…. But that could be my selfish needs crying out because I wasn’t ready to see this group's chapter come to a close.

Overall, The whole dynamic of Always Crew was epic. I loved the suspense, the slight mystery, and the danger written between the pages of this romance. I highly recommend the Crew series to all those looking for an ‘on the edge of your seat’ read. You seriously don’t want to miss out on this series!!!

“This is my crew.” Just like that.
That’s all he said, but his sentiment was noted.
Crew came first. Always.”

An epic conclusion to this darker world within the FC series.
Tijan is a Unicorn author for me and she did it again with this read!

Loyalty. That’s what it means to be in the Wolf Crew.
Bren, Cross, Jordan and Zellman have each other’s backs no matter the enemy.
They will always protect and defend from anyone outside their crew.

In this final book of the series they are now at Cain U and trying to find their place and grow while dealing with old and new enemies.
Several characters and moving parts however Tijans writing makes it flow effortlessly. She also writes these character that stay true to their core while figuring out their future.
Bren is one of my favorite characters of hers. She is strong, tough, resilient, loyal, vulnerable with Cross and always trying to be better. Cross is an amazing Hero and is the perfect match for her.

I’m going to miss this Crew world however I hope we will get to see glimpses of them within the Fallen Crest world books.

Fast paced, action, secrets and drama will have you on edge and turning the pages.

Wolf crew
“When you become one of us, you have to agree to three oaths.”
“Three?”
“Three. The first, will you treat us as family?”
“Yes.” Without hesitation, without regret, without a doubt—yes.
“Will you fight for us as you’d have us fight for you?”
Another yes—no question, thought, or fear.
“And the last, will you forgive as if we’re one person?”
I had said yes.”

Yet another belter from Tijan as we’re whipped once again into the world that is Cross, Bren, Jordan and Zellman!

Always Crew is book 3 of the crew series and needs to be read in order to fully understand what’s going on.

Ride or Die, that’s how the wolf crew role. They’re family and family comes before anything and everything.

I won’t go into the storyline too much because I don’t want to spoil anything. This book should be read with absolutely no spoilers so you can read it’s full potential.

This third book not only focuses on Bren and Cross but also more on Jordan and what he’s had to go through and Zellman and his problems. It’s been great getting to know those two more and being more involved in their stories.

In this book we’re given more than we could possibly expect. Just when you think things can’t possibly get worse Tijan goes and throws in another twist that leaves you with your mouth hanging open and questioning wtf just happened.

The bond between Bren and Cross is Unbreakable, incredible. The bond between all four crew members is infinite and it truly shows in Always Crew. These four are seriously tested in this book and it’s fun getting to see just how far one can be pushed.

Always Crew is the third and final book in the crew series and what an ending. Tijan closed this serious off with a BANG!

It was beautiful, heartbreaking and gasp inducing.

5+++ stars, the best ending to an incredible series!

Always Crew is the final book in the Crew series by Tijan. It’s such a bittersweet feeling when you finish a series that you’ve loved. Having re-read all of the Crew series in the space of three days, I feel like I am a part of the Wolf Crew, and seeing their stories be wrapped up was hard, but also so perfectly done by Tijan.

Always Crew begins where Crew Princess leaves off, after the bombshell reappearance of someone from Bren’s past. Bren and her crew are now living in Cain, with Cross, Jordan and Zellman attending university, and Bren feeling left behind and unsure of what she wants to do. When her brother Channing puts her in contact with a local bounty hunting squad for a job, she suddenly feels like she’s found her calling, but when her new team begin to act suspicious, could they really be using her for her connections?

Meanwhile, a relationship ends between a crew member and a one of their friends, causing tensions and fractures of friendships. But are there darker forces at play? But are there darker forces at play? Bren follows her gut and discovers the truth, in the process getting caught up in a world she never wanted to be a part of. Will Bren be able to fight her way out of one final corner?

Tijan has this ability to make you go through every emotion with each character. I felt Bren’s pain and darkness when she lost control. She is by far Tijan’s darkest heroine, she faces demons that no other heroine has to face, she takes on real danger fearlessly but also has this side of her that is truly dark. Her childhood messed her up, but after her healing process in Crew Princess began, with the reappearance of her father, she takes a few steps backwards. But her recovery is complete as she finally accepts that she was not responsible for other’s actions, and that she did deserve to be loved. There was one scene near the end that had me in tears because it proved just how loved Bren was by every single person in her life. At the beginning of this series, the only people she could rely on were her crew, but by the end, she had a whole network of people who would drop anything and everything to stand by her side. Her love for Cross knew no bounds and I was so happy to see them starting their future together in the epilogue.

Cross’s story took a backseat once again in Always Crew, but that’s not to say he wasn’t with Bren every step of the way throughout the drama and craziness in the plot. His love for Bren was infinite, there was one particular scene where you could just feel his love for her coming off the pages. But it was his relationship with Blaise that had me laughing and rolling my eyes from that start. Although tense, I found it hilarious on occasion, because they were so similar, they knew exactly how to wind each other up. They had a unique bond which really only they understood, and by the end, it was as strong as any other siblings which made me so happy!

The secondary characters were as good as ever, with characters from previous books playing vital roles. Channing is my favourite big brother, he loves his little sister so much, and always has, and will do anything to keep her safe. Blaise and Aspen also feature heavily, with Blaise showing up on multiple occasions to help out, even if he says he wasn’t, and Aspen striking up a strong friendship with Bren. There is also another couple of characters which I read a short novella about in an anthology and was left wanting more after that, but now after Always Crew, I am desperate for their story. However, my favourite background character had to be Taz, she killed me with her emails. As much as I hate to say it, that would be in this situation, on the outskirts of the group, three hours away, emailing every couple of weeks for an update on the drama.

The thing I love the most about Tijan’s books is how they don’t focus solely on the romance. That’s not to say that the story of Bren and Cross’s relationship isn’t important, or steamy (wow, those two are hot in the bedroom), but it almost takes a backseat to the drama. When I think of this series, my first thought isn’t of Bren and Cross as a couple, but of the Wolf Crew as a whole, and their love for each other. I think that’s why I have to prepare myself when I start reading Tijan’s books, because I know I am not going to get light-hearted characters with an easy HEA, it’s going to be tough, difficult characters with issues, and their stories aren’t going to be sugar-coated. Tijan weaves these stories so brilliantly, dropping hints here and there which leave you trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together before the answers are revealed. That’s why I adore her writing, because it makes me think and reflect on what I’ve read constantly. I also can’t believe the links she creates within her worlds, they’re so subtle but once you think about it, so intricately woven.

I will miss these characters dearly, my love for them is different to that of my love for the Fallen Crest family, because they are so different. Bren, Cross, Jordan and Zellman are grittier and darker, because they have had to face hardships the others would’ve never imagined. They were each other’s only family for a long time, so their bond is unique, and one that is difficult to describe, but stays with you long after you turn the last page. They are always crew.

The Crew series is a must read in my eyes, if you love dark, drama filled romance, with a hell of a lot of loyalty, love, fighting and suspense! I highly recommend it!

“Ride or die. It’s how we always have been.”

I’m just a girl with an incurable Crew crush, basking in the biggest emotional book coma from Always Crew, the end to an EPIC SERIES!!!! This romance BLEEDS LOVE and LIFE, and you can't help but feel it word for word and cover to cover. Always Crew is the perfect fusion of tender and tough ... an adventure ... an adrenaline rush. Tijan SLAYED this story and series, delivering another heart-thrashing thriller of a love story with raw and compelling characters that felt like family. This crew was my crew too! I couldn’t love these characters and their powerful journey enough.

In August 2018, Crew held me and my heart hostage, a force of a tale that quickly capitulated me where I fell instantly for Bren and Cross—their love story—and their crew. Friends to lovers and always soulmates. Bren became the Crew Princess surrounded by her princes. Two years later, the crew has evolved but remained Always Crew—growing stronger and wiser, where the princess is now a queen along with her kings ... always there for each other ... always ride or die ... always family ... always crew.

A bit dark, a bit dangerous, and ALL THE DELICIOUS FEELS, Always Crew is an adventure that I felt with my heart. I felt this series from the very first line in Crew to the last line in Always Crew. I was UNEQUIVOCALLY OWNED, as I reveled in the free fall I took into the heart-hitting words where I never stopped feeling this series from Crew to Crew Princess to Always Crew.

What a perfect finale to an epic series about friendship, forever love, and the feeling that your crew always has your back. I’m not ready to let Bren, Cross, Jordan, Zellman, Blaise, Channing, and the rest of these characters go. This crew crush will never go away! Always Crew, the perfect title for the story and series that will stay with me forever. I couldn’t love this story and series enough.

This book is a conclusion of the Crew series.
It's a must read for everyone who loves Bren's, Cross's, Jordan's and Zellman's story.
I love the Crew series.
I've read the first book 2018 and fell in love with the characters 😍
This book takes place in Cain. The Crew attend the university there, or the guys are, Bren is searching for a job that will makes her happy or a little more content, till she knows what she wants to do in the future.
She tries not to worry about her father, Roussou, or any other problems, she tries to be normal. Or as normal as for Bren even possible.
She want to have normal life.
But, as always, the problems follow her no matter where she goes.
Her father's after-jail-time and his new friends are one of her big concerns.
Her friends that she cares about and their problems are the next one.
Her new job, that's at the beginning sounds like a dream, seems like a setup.
But whatever she has to deal with, her biggest concern is that she can't come to terms with the past.
This book is as always an action packed, gripping and unbelievable emotional story.
But it also shows the changes, that the crew goes through.
But don't worry, the Crew will always be the Crew, no matter how old they are or where they go ❤❤❤

I can't give you more without spoilers. So you'll have to read it for yourself 🤷🏻‍♀️ You'll love it!!!

Please note: this is not a standalone. You have to read the other books in the series before this one.

The epic conclusion of the Wolf Crew.

Tijan has created a group of characters that will forever be in my heart.

Always Crew was intense, angsty, full of drama and so many twists and turns, you’ll be dizzy by the end of the book.

Cross and Bren are absolutely perfect. I love how Bren’s character has developed through this series and across is just mmm... He’s Cross.

All in all, this was an amazing ending to this epic series.

5 Stars!

Tijan is back with the final book in the Crew series and y'all, I was here for every. single. word. and every. single. moment. Always Crew is the third in this series and the last for this crew and I have to admit, it was crazy hard to say goodbye this time. Just like the Fallen Crest crew, I truly don't want to EVER say goodbye to them I'm in so deep.

Cross, Bren, Zellman, and Jordan are back along with so many others that had me giddy and got my panties a little wet. 🤭 This crew didn't disappoint their last go round in the books and whew they gave my heart a run for its money in just about every moment they had plus that ending. 😍

Twists, turns, suspense, action packed from cover to cover, all the heat, all the feels, and all the heart in the very best ways. .. these core four plus everyone else that stole a piece of me along the way (and in their own books-journeys) gave everything they had and I devoured every single thing they gave.

Tijan is the QUEEN of what she does and I'm keeping my fingers (and toes!) crossed that we get more of THIS CREW in the future, someway somehow. Oh, and an absolute MUST READ.

I HIGHLY recommend this series.

My love for the Crew series by Tijan is so huge so I was really excited when this landed on my kindle. I needed to know what was going to happen after the epic cliffhanger in Crew Princess.

This wasn’t how I pictured the conclusion for this gang but I loved it regardless. Tijan brings all the drama and angst with a crew that we will love forever.

The character development was on point, especially for Bren. I love that girl so hard. Cross was as broody and swoony as ever and I was here for it. The loyalty between this crew never wavered and I don’t think that I could love them anymore if I tried.

A story all about finding your way and place in the world when everyone around you seems to have it all figured out.

An action packed epic conclusion of a must read series.

Amazing conclusion to the Crew series. This is my favorite New Adult romance series to date. Bren and Cross are one of my favorite couples ever. Their loyalty and connection is amazing. The way they always know what the other needs and give it selflessly. I was a little worried that with Bren's dad being out the plot would be heavily focused on him but it didn't and I was so glad. Bren's growth from book one to this was amazing seeing her change from feral at times to 'cuddly demon' was amazing.
I screamed when we get to see the guys POV I have been wanting that since book one, and that epilogue my heart cant take the cuteness. I am really hoping we get to see cameos of the crew in future books because I am sad to see this end but it was a great way to end the series.

There are twists and turns I did not see coming. It is understandable that Bren does not know what to do with her life, she has matured but family is always family. Life is catching up with Bren and she is trying to deal with it, not only with the return of her father but also how her crew is developing. While I would like to say more, I don't want to spoil it for people. I will say, that I did not see the events that transpired or the outcome.

Somehow in my rush to review 15 books last month that released within a week of each other, I missed my favorite of them all! Always Crew is the third and final book in the Crew trilogy but none other then my favorite authors, Tijan. And what a phenomenal conclusion this was to the series that I’ve now read multiple times.

Like other many authors, I find that Tijan is known for several hallmarks in her writing. She writes angsty, sexy, and exceptional stories that stick with me long after I’ve turned the final pages. She writes well-developed characters and intricately woven into a story that exhibits all. the. feels! And the Crew trilogy is everything I expect when I pick up a Tijan book. This series is one of my favorites so far and Always Crew was perfect a conclusion to a trilogy as it gets. This coming of age, best friends to lovers, contemporary romance trilogy is told predominately from Bren Monroe’s POV with a few chapters written in Cross, Jordan and Zellman’s voice as well.

From the very beginning, Bren Monroe and Cross Shaw exhibit an almost tangible chemistry Bren and Cross are best friends and their romance demonstrates this. But the chemistry that’s grown between them as the story has progressed is exquisite. You’ll find that while their romance was a bit of a slow burn romance initially (in Crew) over the course of Crew Princess and Always Crew, that relationship advanced to become unmistakably sexy with a new connection that develops as their relationship blossomed from friends to more. It truly was rewarding, and Bren and Cross are brilliantly written. They have expertly crafted depths and a fabulous story arc that truly allows readers to see a character that grow and progresses in a very real manner. This, IMO is often missing in modern storytelling. And while many readers now find slow burn romances unfulfilling, the time and patience that Cross put into his developing his relationship with was exactly what I look for in my favorite book boyfriends. I found it richly rewarding, very realistic, and indicative of the types of relationships that last the test of time.

Always Crew aligns perfectly with the other books in the Crew Series and all my expectations when I sit down to read a book written by Tijan were met. The storyline is well crafted and beautifully illustrates the characters coming full circle. The secondary characters are every bit as loveable as the primary and while I hoped for more books about the Crew crew…I’m deliriously happy with the epilogue and can’t wait for Tijan to deliver Nate. It was complete unpredictability and epic entertainment with a consistence pacing. While it was angsty, it also had contrasting moments of levity and sexy to illuminate a well-rounded book that’s impossible to put down… even if it’s a whopping 100k + novel. As an avid reader, I often find myself falling down the same rabbit holes again and again, but Always Crew (and the book before it in this trilogy) feel fresh and unique. And finally, we got a story that didn’t end with a cliffhanger! If you’re in the mood for an epic story with a badass but broken heroine, a sexy bad boy best friend turned lover, and all the angst of a coming of age drama, you’ve found it. You’ve also definitely found your next five star read!!! But make sure you read the Crew Books in their proper reading order—Crew, Crew Princess and Always Crew.

Quotes:
I’m young. I’m new to this world, and this town, and I was still just starting out on the exploratory trek of finding what the hell I wanted to do in the world, but the usual roles that I should be portraying, the ones that spoke of my background and upbringing, I wasn’t. I wasn’t new, or innocent, or eager. I wasn’t ambitious. I wasn’t hopeful.
I was jaded.
I was tired.
Give me a fight to break up and I’d wade in without a second thought; that was the world I was comfortable in.

I was a fighter. That’s what I did in life. It’s who I became. It’s who I was. It’s just how I was. I fought and I survived.

Watching Jordan, how he was handling life at college, watching Zellman, even watching Cross— they were happy. And I wasn’t saying that I was unhappy, but I was lost. We were crew, and because of that, they’d been in the darkness with me. We formed out of necessity, and then that bond strengthened into a vow of family.

We moved at the right time for her, and that was my place. I always went by her timetable, about what she was ready for or what she wasn’t. I knew when to push, when to hold back, when to launch forward, when to pick at her, when to piss her off, when to tickle her, when to love her, and when to make her melt. I knew Bren more than I knew myself...

She might’ve been floundering a little, but she didn’t know how much she was my anchor. She was my North Star. I needed her or I’d be lost. I’d go off the rails. Bren wanted justice in the world, and I knew that’s where we were going. Me, I just wanted her.

I was going to marry this girl.
My girl.
Mine.

This boy. This guy. This man. I was going to marry him. I was going to have his babies. I would fight him, with him, and for him forever. He was mine, all mine, and I was going to savor that he came into my life.

Tijan slayed this book! Like she REALLY Slayed this book!!
I have loved this series from the very beginning. From the first book of this series to the very last word of Always Crew I have been enamored by the complexity of these characters.

Always Crew picked up where Crew Princess left off. That shocking spot that left us all breathless going WTF?!?!

Always Crew also starts by showing us our beloved Crew in a more grown up light because they are all off to college, well... most of them are. They are maturing. Things are changing for our Bren, Cross, Jordan and Zellman, they are changing.

Bren remains the most Bren-like when she finds herself struggling not to go back to being like the dark Bren she’s tried so hard to get away from, from being known as. When she is forced to face the past. Cross and the guys are right there doing everything they can as always to bring Bren back from the brink of that darkness.

This book is still full of all the action and suspense we’ve come to love and expect from our crew. So much happens and I’m gonna to be vague because I don’t want to give too much away so you can enjoy it like I did. It’s got the angst and the sex. But we also get a feel of Bren's internal battles. She’s wondering just where she’s gonna fit in this new grown up world when her goals are not quite the same as the guys who are focused on school and the activities surrounding it. I love the way they find a way to make it work though.

I love this crew BIG, their commitment to each other, their little family dynamic. From the new to old characters that made appearances all of it added up to make this ending a perfect wrap up to an amazing series. It’s bittersweet for me. I hate to see it end. But I’m so happy with the way she bundled up what everyone’s future looks like. From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, no matter where life takes them or how many miles might be between them. One thing will remain true now and forever and that’s Crew First, Always Crew!

My cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- I am such a fan of Tijan. I know if she comes out with a new book, I’m going to devour it! This was no exception. It was hot, full of suspense. Lies, secrets revealed the banter was sarcastic and funny. The flow was perfect and it had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥- Cross and Bren were hella hot! There was plenty of scorching hot scenes. I loved it!! There was plenty of love in them but it was like makin’ “dirty dirty loveHOLY MOLY!
🌪Cliffhanger Warning-🌪🌪HEA!! Oh my heart y’all!
I love this ending so much!

4.5 stars While I really enjoyed the previous two books in this series, Always Crew is my favorite! The author has this incredible ability to create characters that are uniquely complex, flawed, and real. I have become so invested in these characters and their stories that it is a tad bittersweet that the series is over. That being said, the journey the author takes the reader on is remarkable and she truly does them all justice.

This book is predominantly told from Bren’s POV, but there are a few chapters from Cross and even Zellman & Jordan which I loved. As with the previous two books, it took me a minute to re-warm up to Bren as she is abrasive at times and occasionally too quick to spring into action. She has her flaws, but she also had this deep seated loyalty and all encompassing love towards her crew which is what endeared her to me. She has greatly evolved as a character and that is even more visible in this novel. Cross remains a steadfast boyfriend who just “gets” Bren. He truly knows her, perhaps even better than she knows herself. Zellman and Jordan are still two of my favorite characters and it was wonderful that we got to see a lot more of them in this book.

While Bren is the main heroine in Always Crew, the supporting characters are all entertaining in their own right and have their own place in the developing story. That is one the things that makes this series so exceptional - the intriguing dynamic that occurs between Bren and her crew as well as with some of the others present in the book. Some relationships fall apart. Some become stronger. And some are newly forged.

Having read this book in one sitting, I can tell you that this engaging book moves at a great pace and will definitely capture your attention. The author skillfully weaves together a story full of emotion, action, heat, and some intriguing revelations. One thing that is apparent after all this time, is that while high school is over and that some things change, they will always be crew.

Note: Always Crew is the third and final book in the Crew series. Crew & Crew Princess must be read first. This series is a standalone, but there are a few characters that the reader will recognize from other books, especially Blaise and Aspen from Rick Prick.

I voluntarily read an early version of this book. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

Gahhhhh 😭😭

I feel like I have watched the Wolf Crew grow from babies to adults and I am sooo not ready to say goodbye to them. Sheesh... what a freaking conclusion to an AMAZING trilogy

❝Oᴜʀ ʟɪᴛᴛʟᴇ ғᴇʀᴀʟ sʜᴇ-ᴡᴏʟғ ᴡᴀs ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴏᴜᴛ ᴀɴᴅ ᴘʟᴀʏ, ᴀɴᴅ I ᴡᴀs ɢᴏɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ʟᴏᴠᴇ ɪᴛ.❞
The story is told mostly from Bren's POV but there are a few chapters from Cross as well as Jordan and Zellman. The character development... WOW. Especially my girl Bren, although she'll always be the fiesty, ready to throw down at a moment's notice Bren, she's so much more mature now!
❝Tʜɪs ɢɪʀʟ. I ʟᴏᴠᴇᴅ ᴛʜɪs ɢɪʀʟ, ᴀɴᴅ sʜᴇ ᴡᴀs ᴀsʟᴇᴇᴘ, ᴛʜᴇ ʙᴇᴅsʜᴇᴇᴛ ᴀᴄʀᴏss ʜᴇʀ ᴛʜɪɢʜ, ᴀɴᴅ I ᴊᴜsᴛ ᴡᴀɴᴛᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ʜᴏʟᴅ ʜᴇʀ. Aʟʟ ᴅᴀʏ ʟᴏɴɢ. Eᴠᴇʀʏ ɴɪɢʜᴛ. Eᴠᴇʀʏ ᴅᴀʏ. Fᴏʀᴇᴠᴇʀ. I ᴡᴀs ɢᴏɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ᴍᴀʀʀʏ ᴛʜɪs ɢɪʀʟ. Mʏ ɢɪʀʟ. Mɪɴᴇ. Oɴᴇ ᴅᴀʏ. Uɴᴛɪʟ ᴛʜᴇɴ, I ᴊᴜsᴛ ᴘᴜʟʟᴇᴅ ʜᴇʀ ɪɴᴛᴏ ᴍʏ ᴀʀᴍs ᴀɴᴅ ʜᴇʟᴅ ʜᴇʀ. Aʟʟ. Nɪɢʜᴛ. Lᴏɴɢ.❞
Cross is an absolutely amazing book boyfriend... the way he is with Bren makes me swoon so freaking hard every single time! I loved seeing more scenes with Cross and Blaise too, and that ending was a nice little surprise.
❝Tʜɪs ʙᴏʏ. Tʜɪs ɢᴜʏ. Tʜɪs ᴍᴀɴ. I ᴡᴀs ɢᴏɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ᴍᴀʀʀʏ ʜɪᴍ. I ᴡᴀs ɢᴏɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ʜɪs ʙᴀʙɪᴇs. I ᴡᴏᴜʟᴅ ғɪɢʜᴛ ʜɪᴍ, ᴡɪᴛʜ ʜɪᴍ, ᴀɴᴅ ғᴏʀ ʜɪᴍ ғᴏʀᴇᴠᴇʀ. Hᴇ ᴡᴀs ᴍɪɴᴇ, ᴀʟʟ ᴍɪɴᴇ, ᴀɴᴅ I ᴡᴀs ɢᴏɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ sᴀᴠᴏʀ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ʜᴇ ᴄᴀᴍᴇ ɪɴᴛᴏ ᴍʏ ʟɪғᴇ.❞
Loyalty is everything to these four, from the beginning until the very end. *SIGH* what a perfect ending for the Wolf Crew.
❝Aʟᴡᴀʏs Cʀᴇᴡ.❞

„Always Crew” is the third and last installment of „Crew” series written by Tijan.
I was waiting for this book a long time and when it came on my Kindle, I knew that it will be a night without sleep.

Crew's life is a little more normal. Everything goes fine. Bren is training to be a bounty hunter and all things are good.
To this one day, one party. When Jordan heard that his girlfriend was cheating on him.
In the short investigation Jordan knows that she wasn't doing this by herself.
And this is the spark to something bigger.
Crew will be always together.

It is a tradition, that with every Tijan's book I don't have a night. Why? Because sleep is for weak people, when you have such a great book to read! Even better when this book is one of the most anticipated read in the year. I have like that with „Always Crew”.
Now, when I end Cross and Bren's story I am happy for their HEA.

In this book Bren has a „first violin” role. Of course we have here multi POV, but a lot of chapters we can read with Bren.
I really like this girl. I wrote it in my previous review, but I can write it again – Bren is a devil.
She is a very strong heroine, which I really love.
Also Cross aka My Hubby is perfect in this story. He is like koala in lion skin. He can bite you if you are an enemy, but he will be your friend if you are good person.

„Always Crew” is a perfect ending for these heroes. I was in this book from the first page until the end and I have no regrets to say „we will see again on reread”. Because all of these series is worth to reread and meet Cross and Crew again.
