Kentisbeare Riding Club Update

Kentisbeare Riding Club is a friendly club encouraging participation at all levels, abilities and ages. Most of our members are from Kentisbeare, the Culm Valley and surrounding areas but we have some members who come from further away. We welcome keen competitors but also beginners or people wanting to get back on board after breaks from horses and tailor our sessions to meet people’s individual needs.  We have a small number of local junior members. We hold regular training sessions with experienced trainers and also run social and educational events throughout the year, on and off the horse. All sessions can be found under Events on our Facebook Page

Kentisbeare Riding Club was provisionally affiliated with British Riding Clubs in February 2018.

Team interest and activity has increased since January 2019:

• March 2019– Novice and intermediate show jumping qualifiers at KSEC. One 80cm team and two 90cm individuals entered. Our 80cm team came 5th and two individuals were placed, one qualifying for the championship.
• 23 March 2019 – We have five individuals entered for postponed qualifier, due to take place at Yeovil showground.
• We had three teams entered for the FOTH combined training qualifier which was unfortunately cancelled on 10 March 2019 due to weather conditions.

KRC now has official team x country kit and some new saddle cloths with the KRC logo. We are looking forward to road-testing it all at our competitions in 2019.
