Hi <<First Name>>,

We hope you're having a good summer break. As you may have seen, we've continued to send you emails over the summer vacation, this is to keep you up to date with plans we're making ahead of your return to campus.

We’ll be open and ready to welcome all new and returning students onto our campus from September onwards. We will deliver face-to-face teaching and support in-person where it’s safe to do so - this will be blended with online activity where learning in-person isn't possible.

More than ever, the safety and welfare of all students and staff at Warwick remains our main priority and we've been putting a range of measures in place to ensure that all aspects of university life, and our campus environment, stay as safe as possible. We thought you may want to hear about these measures.

This includes meeting government guidelines on personal health and safety like social distancing and some measures where we’re going the extra mile to help protect you:

What we're doing to keep everyone safe

Every space on campus has been checked to make sure it is safe to use. Our plans for teaching and congregating enable us to keep a safe distance wherever possible.

We have introduced timetabling for using spaces on campus, one way systems and floor markers.

Our cleaning schedules have been increased, particularly in areas that are touched and used often.

As well as plenty of facilities to wash your hands, we’ve added ‘sanitising stations’ around campus.

There are reusable face coverings and thermometers available to anyone who needs them as well as clear guidance on when and how these should be used.

From September, we will have a test and trace system in place for our community, which works alongside the National Health Service (NHS) Track and Trace service.

We will also ask that you sign up to further guidance, so you know exactly what you need to do to play your part in keeping our community safe.

We all have a role to play
Together, we need to act in positive ways that protect the vulnerable among us and help to keep every member of our community safe and healthy. Find out more about social distancing and the use of face-coverings on campus.

You can also see what we are doing differently to offer additional support and protection to shared spaces and public areas across the University. For UK Government guidance on face-masks, you can visit Face-coverings: when to wear one and how to make your own.

We’re also committed to keeping students and staff up to date with the latest information, advice and support through newsletters, videos, MyWarwick updates, app alerts, the Stay Safe at Warwick pages and campus signage.

We are providing student support and advice to students via Wellbeing Support Services. You can find out more about our new Wellbeing Strategy, access our Wellbeing Support Services FAQs and check MyWarwick for more updates and resources on Maintaining your Wellbeing.
