Jenna Coleman's life seems like a royal pain in the first official look at her return in Victoria's third series.

Her Majesty is looking pretty glum sat with Prince Albert (Tom Hughes) in a teaser photo released by ITV that promises "turbulent times" are ahead for the royal family when the prestige drama returns.

Jenna was much cheerier when she offered a behind-the-scenes sneak peek as filming got under way on Victoria, but that was admittedly before she needed an actual caravan just to film swimming scenes.

Earlier this month, the actress faced up to the fact that she'll eventually have to walk away from Victoria when the story needs to move forward to a much later period in the queen's life.

"We're deciding on a series-by-series basis." she admitted. "In the next one she's starting to look a bit more matronly, she's had six or seven children, so a bit wider, bit more of a bust, the make-up is more drawn... but there will come a point in her story when no amount of prosthetic make-up or me lowering my voice will be convincing enough."

Jenna is currently on screens over on ITV rival BBC One in the former Bodyguard timeslot on Sunday evenings in thriller The Cry, which has thus far kept viewers on their toes with its mystery about a kidnapped child.

Victoria will return soon on ITV in the UK. In the US, Victoria airs on PBS as part of the Masterpiece programming block.
