Gift Aid Declaration

Gift Aid is a scheme that allows charities to reclaim tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer, which means that the Diocese of Leeds can claim back from the HMRC 25p for every £1 you donate to your specified parish in the Diocese of Leeds

Gift Aid is reclaimed by the charity from the tax you pay for the current tax year.

- I want to Gift Aid my donations I make in the future or have made in the past four years to the Diocese of Leeds (Registered Charity No. 249404). I am a UK tax payer and understand that if I pay less Income tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid Claimed on all my donations in that relevant tax year, it is my responsibility to pay any difference.

You no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains tax.

If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return. Or ask HMRC to adjust your tax code.
