Aerosmith will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Feb. 14, according to an announcement by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday (Feb.6). The rockers will be recognized under the recording category, with the WOF’s 2,657th star. The ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m., at 6752 Hollywood Boulevard in front of Musicians Institute.
President and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Rana Ghadban, will emcee the event, that will also be live streamed for fans at home exclusively on www.walkoffame.com.
“Finally! We have been waiting a long time to honor Aerosmith with their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “Aerosmith is one of the greatest rock bands in the world and we expect many fans will be ‘Crazy’ excited to see them honored!”
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are fresh off a Las Vegas residency announcement, Aerosmith: Deuces Are Wild, kicking off Saturday, April 6, at the Park Theater at the new Park MGM resort. Over their decades-long career, the group has accumulated four Grammys, eight American Music Awards, six Billboard Music Awards and 12 MTV Video Music Awards.
