The club had always come first, because that was our code, in our blood. They were family. We were a brotherhood. And I’d never wanted anything for myself, not until one person came into my life and turned my world upside down.

Brynleigh.

She’s the one person who held my heart, who I secretly loved but couldn’t have because of the life I led. She didn’t deserve to be mixed up with me and the violence and danger the MC world brings. But I’m too much of a selfish bastard to let her go.
But then that choice is taken out of my hands when she’s kidnapped by an enemy of the club and used as a pawn in a deadly game of chess. I love her and would go to hell to make sure she was safe.
And that’s exactly what I was going to do.

It’s up to me to protect her, to bring her back from the darkness, and keep her close.

But keeping her safe came with a stipulation from the man who held her captive.

Kill Venom, the president of the MC.

And if I don’t then Brynleigh is as good as dead.

Another good installment

I really liked this story. I felt it had a great storyline. Brynleigh (loved that name) and Rooney are so good together. I’m glad it didn’t drag out, them getting together.

Honeslty, I was apprehensive about this book. The reasons?
I meet Rooney in previous book and I wasn't his fan. He came to me as someone who has no fate in his club. And all that is related to his girl. He loved her but he didn't wanted her in the club and the danger it brings. The way he described his reasons sounded to me like he thought that the club was weak and can't protect their own. And he acted like life out of the club walls is fairytale. No accidents and no monsters out there.
And with what happened in the last few pages in the previous book... Yeah, I wasn't really looking forward for this one. I was scared he will show me once again how he had no faith in his brothers and go along with the mafia SOB orders betraying the club. Though, I still had a sliver hope that he will act smart. Wouldn't trust the mafia bullshit and will put his faith were it belongs, in the club, which will always have his back.
So, the first pages of Rooney's POV and I wanna to hit my head on the wall. Or better yet, hit him over his head. I'm so.... I just can't find words. I was so frustrated and so dissapointed in Rooney. He wasn't a complete idiot I give him that. But I couldn't help and sometimes feel like he wasn't made for that brotherhood. He never thought of the club as his family or something similar. It felt like his connection to the club was missing.

I've got to admit that I've been anxious for Rooney's story to come out because I was intrigued by his character. I will admit that at first I didn't like his character too much in Venom's story, "VENOM'S REVENGE" because it seemed to me that he didn't have too much faith in his MC protecting their own safe but in this story we get more insight into his thinking and into some of the reasons as to why he hasn't claimed the woman who owns his black soul, Brynleigh.

Yet, here, Rooney has no choice but to claim her, especially now that his hands are tied and he's being forced to betray his MC club in order to save Brynleigh, now that she's been kidnapped in order to force Rooney into betraying his club.

This story and it's blurb completely intrigued me and as I continued to read this story, my head spin several times with all the unexpected twists and turns and it really kept me on the edge of my seat with the suspense.

Rooney's Pain was a great read and the tease of possibly the next candidate for his story from this series was both intriguing and exciting because it truly sounds like the next couple's story will be an incredible read and I can't wait to read it! 😎💜

The authors', Jenika Snow and Sam Crescent really do an awesome super combo co-writers and with this story, they did yet another excellent work. 😊

This is the second book in the Ruthless Rejects MC Series by Jenika Snow and Sam Crescent. I’m always apprehensive about reading a book where either the H or the h is being forced to betray someone especially when it’s an MC. I didn’t really like Rooney in the first book because he acted like an ass to Venom and it seemed like he was trying to make him feel like it was wrong for him to fall in love. I can understand Rooney wanting to keep Brynleigh safe but who exactly was he protecting her from ? The fact that he never told anyone in the club about her was bullshit to me. He is a member of this club full of men who are supposedly his brothers yet he didn’t trust any of them enough to tell them about her ? What if he had been killed or severely injured before the whole kidnapping thing ? How would Brynleigh have ever found out ? He was completely wrong and if he trusted these men enough to be in an MC with them then he should’ve at least told Venom. If I was one of his “brothers” I’d never be able to trust Rooney because obviously he doesn’t trust them.

I thought maybe this book would change my opinion of Rooney but it didn’t, as a matter of fact I like him even less after reading this.

This is the second installment in this series and is just as good as the first one.

Rooney has been trying to keep Bryn at arms length not wanting to bring her into his life. Its not long before they both give in to temptation. However when a threat to the club kidnaps Bryn Rooney will do anything to get her back. What they don't count on is that one of their own is working with someone outside the club to cause trouble. Will Rooney be able to save Bryn without bringing more trouble down onto them?

This is an amazing story that will have you on the edge of your seat while you read it. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Wow!!! When Jenika and Sam get together to write, they really write!! In the second book of this series, Rooney has to figure out a way to save his woman, who has been kidnapped by a rival gang, without hurting Venom. I loved the twist and turns in this story. When you think you know what is going to happen, BAM...............it goes a totally different way. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and I finished it in one setting!! I will be eagerly waiting for the next installment of this series!!

Rooney's Pain (Ruthless Rejects MC, 2) by Jenika Snow Rooney's Pain (Ruthless Rejects MC, 2) By: Jenika Snow & Sam Crescent
Great Series With An Awesome Balance Between Drama & S€X¥ Times!!
The writing Duo can't be beat, especially if you're lookin' for some H€@T...
They lack a serious Punch... Bringing you Gritty, Emotional, Raw, sometimes Bloody, & Always S€X¥ Stories!
If you like MC Tales with Flare, look NO further than this Combo... Their stories are a Series, this is True, but if you miss ONE, you can still enjoy the FUN! As these ladies write with style, which engages the Reader & makes them Smile. But you're not scratching your head, & totally filled with dread, if you happen to miss an installment or two... You see these writers draw you IN with enough deets in each books to please! But their also interconnected... Drawing you deeper & DEEPER into their Web!
I was granted an ARC of Jenika Snow & Sam Crescent's "Rooney's Pain (Ruthless Rejects MC, 2)" via Booksprout; I recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time... Happy Reading!

Two things. This book has no s e x scenes where penetration is involved except for an abbreviated blip in the epilogue. That bugged me. The second thing is there’s an intro for a third book that is nowhere on the horizon. That intro peaked my interest and now I’m annoyed to find it’s not happening anytime soon. Especially as this book is two years old. Smh.

As for this story I was interested in the outcome but I was bored in that there was very little romance in it. The couple were in danger and the plan to extricate themselves from it was so completely obvious that I read the story mostly to see if I was right, and I was. Faked death is so over done. It’s too easy that’s it’s not a plot twist anymore. After that the story pretty much ended.

I did like this book better than the fist book as that was mostly a bunch of whining nonsense but I wasn’t engaged in the relationship as I wanted to be. Two grown adults who were trying to be together by NOT being together was stupid. The danger of the MC being the reason for them not being together was reasonable but if you are still going to be in each other’s lives then just grow a pair and actually try to make it work. That’s just how I round off these weak story plots.

Anyway, I would have loved to have the third book or no intro to a third book if there was never going to be one immediately following these two. I would have loved more couple action. Seriously, I don’t read Sam Crescent or Jenika Snow for “clean” stories. The bare minimum of smut in this book was insufficient as this book is written by two smutty authors.

On a side note, I just checked and it’s listed as a romantic suspense and I couldn’t stop laughing as that has to be a joke. There was nothing “suspenseful” in this book. Lol smh. Good luck.

He loves her

Rooney's love and obsession with Bryn cause a chain of events to happen in the MC. But attempting to kill the Prez will do that even if you are trying to save your woman.

This was the perfect ending to the two books series. Rooney and Brynliegh were the perfect couple for this book. They were supposed to be under cover and not letting anyone know that they were together. Rooney was keeping his distance from her so no one would go after her cause they were seeing one another. He denied himself of being with her just so his life as a MC wouldn’t follow her. But that is just what happened.

A ruthless mafia type guy name Vincenzo Mantego was making a deal for some guns with Rooney and several other club members when Mantego told him that he was going to make a different kind of deal and Rooney told him he didn’t think so. Any other arrangements had to be deal with their Prez Venmon and then the club make the new deal together. That if he wanted the guns he needed to pay the money now and he can have the guns. But then he laughed and told him that he was going to want to make this deal and he showed him what he had in the car. There in the trunk was Brynleigh. Rooney almost lost it. Mantego laughed and his guys pulled there guns and so did the MC guys.

Mantego gave Rooney a burner cell and told him that he either kill Venmon or he’ll be get Brynleigh in small pieces. And so the story began. This was a great spinoff from Venmon’s Revenge you will be like me. You not want to put it down. Both Venom and Rooney will be intertwined in this book and their ladies also. You will be surprised by the Women. Rebekah and Brynleigh will blow you away. I was very surprised by this last book and it was well worth the read. 🤗🤗🤗😍

Rooney knows he isn't a good man, not even close. Being in an MC, violence is part of the gig and isn't the place for a sweet girl like Brynleigh. That doesn't mean he can give her up though. He has loved her for so long and kept her a secret from everyone. Once he sees her in the trunk of that car and in the hands of man he doesn't trust, all bets are off. He will do whatever it takes to get her back. Once he does, he will claim her and never let her go. Bryn has loved Rooney for so long. When she wakes up in that trunk, she knows he will come get her. She just has to hold on...

The Ruthless Rejects are not a warm and fuzzy MC. They are strictly a 1 percenter organization and that means knowing some really bad guys. Rooney's Pain was definitely more hardcore than most of the MC romances I read but it rides the line really well. The guys don't go for brutalizing women, mostly running drugs and guns. I liked Rooney quite a lot, he is a guy with morals, they are just flexible ones. He loves Bryn and will do whatever it takes to get her back. Bryn was a sweet girl and totally devoted to Rooney. She trusted in him completely but didn't just stand around helpless either. This was an intense read as was the previous book Venom's Revenge but I want more! Crank is up next and I cannot wait to get my hands on his story! 4.5 stars for Rooney's Pain.

This duo of writers have got to be one of my faves and I was so looking forward to Rooney’s story, we met him in Venom’s Revenge and he was intriguing.

Rooney is no saint not by any stretch of the imagination he has been a part of the Ruthless Rejects from the start. But the girl that he loves is too sweet for the life that he can offer her, but that doesn’t mean that he will give her up. He tries to keep his distance and keep her a secret but someone knows about her and she has been taken he will do whatever he has to in order to get her back even if that means him going against his club but once he has her safe he will hunt and kill everyone that has touched his woman and from this point on he is claiming his girl finally. Can he get to her in time before she is seriously hurt and will she accept the life that he can offer her?

Brynleigh has loved Rooney her whole life, she knows his secrets but all she has ever wanted was him but now that she has been taken she understands why he has kept her away from his MC life, she knows he is coming for her but at what cost? And will he resent her for the things he has to do to save her?

This is an intriguing gritty, violent story about love, friendship and ultimate revenge. Can’t wait for the next one 

This is the second book in the Ruthless Rejects MC Series. I was drawn in from the very beginning And didn’t want to put the book down. I wanted to continuing reading to see if Rooney would continue to keep Bryn at a distance, even though he was really into her, but felt he was completely wrong for her.

Bryn has been kept away of Rooney’s MC activities, but is put in the middle, when a rat in the club and a wealthy outsider want to take over the club. Bryn is kidnapped and Rooney will do anything to get her back and to keep her safe.

I recommend you read about the lengths he will go to try to keep her safe. He will end up with the club against him if he does what is required in order to get Bryn back along with Bryn’s captor and his security detail. Must read!

This was a dramatic suspense story that starts right away with action/adventure. Rooney is an MC member whose woman (Bryn) was kidnapped by an enemy MC leader (Vincenzo). Rooney is told that he must kill his MC President (Venom), or Bryn will be killed. When he kills Venom to save Bryn, he knows his whole MC will be after him along with Vincenzo most likely, and there is a chance Vincenzo won't release Bryn after all. Then there are shocking surprises, betrayals within the MC, and torturous actions on both sides. Can Rooney get revenge? Is there any hope for Rooney and Bryn? Can they have an HEA? I highly recommend this book!

I really loved this "Rooney's Pain"!! It's a stand alone story but the second story in the "Ruthless Rejects MC" series. The story of course has connected characters and you probably would get more out of this one if you read them in order. This one is Rooney and Bryn's story! It's a very captivating, edge of your seat ride but a fairly quick and intense read. I loved this story! Rooney has loved her from affair never letting anyone know of her or wanting to let her get close for fear she would be hurt. However, it all changes when she is kidnap as an attempt to make him perform a horrible act against his MC. This is a thrill ride with great twists and turns, danger, suspense, mystery, steam and loving passion. The story does leave you wanting to know more about Crank!

Another fun and hot read from this writing duo. Rooney loves Bryn from afar never wanting to bring her into the MC lifestyle but when she is kidnapped the choice is taken away and he must admit how much he loves her. Can he protect her from those threatening her life if he does not betray his club? I thought this was a sexy quick read it has bloodshed, action and lots of hot scenes. Rooney and Bryn were so perfect for each other. I cant wait for the next book in this series if you love MC stories with steam this is the read for you. So we get to meet Roonie and gets bit of his story in the previous book. So I was pretty excited to read this book. And I have to say Sam and Jenika don’t disappoint with this action packed love story. It’s definitely not your usual love story that’s for sure, it will keep you on your toes right from the very beginning. Loved it from beginning to end. Can’t sit for another collaboration between these two power house writers!

Bryn and Rooney are going to take you on a trip through murder and mayhem that leads them through hell and back. Can't keep a strong woman down and don't doubt what love will make you do.

They learn not to mess with a man who has a strong love for his woman. The twists and surprises are going to stick you to this book like crazy glue.

Another MC masterpiece. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Well written exciting read full of danger, violence and deep love

This was my first book in the series and I was really grabbed by how gritty and exciting it was. The characters were well laid out, though I was a little surprised that Rooney held back so much from his club. Brynleigh was a lot tougher than Rooney gave her credit for and thank goodness for that! They had deep roots, sizzling chemistry and a swoon worthy love. What a crazy ride these two ended up going on!

Rooney’s pain over Brynleigh will capture your heart
This is my 2nd book by Jenika and she quickly draws you into the story of Brynleigh and Rooney. Brynleigh is captured by a rival to get Rooney to kill the president of the MC. With no where to turn, Rooney has to commit to killing Venom then rescue Brynleigh. Will Rooney’s plan work? Will he find the rat before his MC kills him? You have to read to find out and won’t want to put the book down until you finish reading.
