Zalgiris held off a late charge from Valencia to maintain their EuroLeague Playoff charge while Olympiacos’ inconsistent form continued with a loss to Khimki.

Led by Kevin Pangos, Zalgiris narrowly beat Valencia 86-82 to improve to 12-7 in the standings.

Pangos ended with 15 assists, a EuroLeague-high so far this season to go with 11 points. Axel Toupane paced Zalgiris with 18 points.

Khimki inflicted a crushing 82-54 thrashing of Olympiacos as the Reds fell down the standings whilst the Russian side secured a vital second win in the week.

EuroLeague top scorer Alexey Shved had 19 points and dished seven assists to lead the winners.

Rakim Sanders proved to be the difference as he single-handedly guided Barcelona to an 81-66 win over Brose Bamberg.

Brose rallied to within 67-66 with three minutes left. Sanders scored eight points in a final 14-0 run that won the game. Sanders led Barca with 17 points.

Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv bounced back from Tuesday’s loss to Olympiacos by beating Crvena Zvezda 89-75 at home.

Pierre Jackson scored 17 of his 22 points in the second half to lead Maccabi who protect their Playoff spot.
