This crowd-pleasing punch is truly a Christmas miracle. It serves a large crowd, doesn’t shy away from the booze (read: three bottles of wine AND vodka), and looks stunning presented at any holiday party. Plus, it’s endlessly versatile—you can really experiment with it to create your ideal Jingle Juice. Beware: Serve this Christmas cocktail early on in your party, and your guests just might be asleep under the tree by the end of the night. Here’s everything you need to know:
Jinge Juice variations:
— The best ride wine to use. Red moscato is our preferred choice in this drink, but if that’s too sweet for you, feel free to swap it out for a light-bodied red wine like a Grenache, Pinot Noir, or even a Lambrusco if you want another bubbly addition.
— The juice. We love cran-apple in this recipe, but feel free to experiment with what you have on hand: all cranberry juice would be great, and a bit of apple cider wouldn’t hurt anything.
— Frozen vs. fresh cranberries. This recipe calls for frozen cranberries; they act as a kind of ice cube to keep your punch cold. However, if you only have fresh cranberries on hand, feel free to use those instead, but you might want to add some ice cubes to your glasses.
— Extra additions. If you prefer more mix-ins in your punch, feel free to add in some apple or orange slices, or even some cinnamon sticks.
How to serve Jingle Juice:
We love this punch because of how easy it is to serve a big crowd. Serve this in a punch bowl (à la our Christmas punch) or a drink dispenser, and let your guests fill up their glasses as they please. To make this drink extra special, we like to prep our glasses by creating a sugar rim. That being said, if you’re serving a real large crowd, feel free to skip the rim and let your guests do as they please.
Make it ahead:
You can make this punch ahead of time by combining everything together (minus the fruit, mint, and Prosecco) up to 3 days in advance, then add the bubbly and everything else in right before you’re ready to serve.
