Give by June 20

To meet the demands of our busiest time of the year, we ask all friends of the High Line to help us raise a total of $30,000—$1,000 for each block of our 1.5-mile-long park along Manhattan’s West Side.

Covered Plinth

Wang Wei (b. 1972, Beijing, China) lives and works in Beijing, China. Covered Plinth blankets the Spur and the Plinth with a tile mosaic inspired by the alligator tank at the Beijing Zoo. The work references the naturalistic murals often painted behind animal enclosures in zoos, and more widely, about the artificial simulations of nature humans introduce into their built environments.
