Lotus Thief
-from San Francisco, CA
-Formed in 2012, Lotus Thief weaves a union of doom, post-rock, black metal and ambient sound, each song a tribute to the voices of the past.

The first single, "Nymphaea Carulea" - based on Homer's "The Odyssey" - was released on Botanist's "Doom in Bloom".  The band then recorded critically‐acclaimed “Rervm”, based on the 55 BCE philosophical piece “De Rerum Natura”, at The Atomic Garden Studios (Deafheaven, Bosse‐de‐Nage). "Rervm" was released on Svart Records (Acid King, Oranssi Pazuzu) in 2014 with strong critical reception.

In 2016, Lotus Thief released its second full‐length, “Gramarye”, based on ancient texts of sorcery and paganism, on Prophecy Productions (Alcest, Lantlôs, Negura Bunget). The release of "Gramarye" marked a cohesive step in Lotus Thief's journey as something more than a singular blip in genre-bending metal music, but as a sound world unto itself.

LT formed a live 5-player lineup to tour US West and East Coasts, with a debut European performance at Prophecy Fest in Balve, Germany. In 2017, the group expanded to a 6-player lineup to record several future releases, honing the powerful sound into groundbreaking music, beginning with its next release, Oresteia, released alongside the Rervm re-issue on January 10th, 2020 via Prophecy Productions.

"Oresteia" was mixed & mastered by Colin Marston at The Thousand Caves, New York City. It retells Aeschylus' famed tragedy, "The House of Atreus" / "Oresteia Trilogy", 5th century BCC, a tragic epic tale that rails into human violence, heroism and betrayal.

Brume
Susie - Vox/Bass
Jamie - Guitar
Jordan - Drums
-from San Francisco, CA

-Sabbathian sensibility is a must for any band worth their weight in doom but when combined with a strong penchant for acts like Portishead and Bjork, San Franciscan heavy trio Brume are a graceful leader among the skull-crushing pack.

In 2014, the San Francisco group quickly picked up steam with their debut EP ‘Donkey,’ a sorrowful slow burner drenched in reverb and wrought with patient mourning. After its release on a UK label led to its pickup on DHU Records for a vinyl release, the band stayed on board for the follow-up LP ‘Rooster’ that saw them plunge deeper into the study of duality between harsh distortion and the soaring refrains of front woman Susie McMullan’s stunning vocals. “Our music is non-fiction; a time stamped truth,” she said, but the band’s creative drive contains a timelessness not quickly forgotten among the sea of contenders in doom metal.

Growth is no stranger to Brume, as noted by The Ripple Effect (Credit link: https://www.brumeband.com/blog/2018/1/13/the-ripple-effect) in 2018 who named ‘Rooster’ Album of the Year and noted it was “plainly and simply a giant leap forward from their excellent debut EP ‘Donkey.’” Their second full-length ‘Rabbits’ makes its debut later this year on the band’s new home at Magnetic Eye Records and continues this theme, exposing a tight-knit crew at their most creatively expansive who’ve erected a monumental piece to capture and soothe the mind during this tumultuous cultural era. Tracks like “Lament” showcase a masterful grasp on tension-building and release; it’s a hypnotic lullaby and explosion in one, stretched over a singular sonic experience.

Now that Brume have used the experience they gleaned from playing prestigious stages like that at Desertfest London and opening for High On Fire in Europe, they’re ready to take on a bigger role than ever in the heavy underground with the November 9th release of ‘Rabbits.’ Catch them when they hit the road in support of the record later this year, and follow along on the band’s official website and social media pages to keep up to date with their journey.

-from San Francisco,  CA

-Formed in San Francisco in 2014 Older Sun creates heavy psychedelic blues rock with a nod to the James Gang, Mountain, Grand Funk Railroad, and ZZ Top. Classic rock riffs buoyed by a muscular rhythm section that rides alongside genuinely soulful, bluesy vocals.
Quickly gaining local attention with a string of Bay Area shows, the band has shared the stage with Earthless, Hot Lunch, Mondo Drag, Pins Of Light, Joy, Carlton Melton, Wild Eyes, Slow Season, Banquet, and many others. 2015 saw the band on three different vinyl only releases. Their debut 7 inch titled “Bad Man”, on Valley King Records featured two ripping original songs. The band was featured on Vol.4 of the “Sweet Times” compilation series on Who Can You Trust? Records out of Germany. Their most recent release with Valley King Records is a split 7 inch with Swedish rockers Spiders (fresh off a US tour with Graveyard).
A 5 song self titled 12 inch EP was released in the summer of 2018 on San Francisco label Anchorite Recordings. The sessions were recorded and mixed at El Studio in San Francisco with Phil Manley (Trans Am, The Fucking Champs, Life Coach) at the controls. The cover artwork is an original, eye popping, mind-bending piece by rock poster icon Alan Forbes (Melvins, Black Crowes, Faith No More, Queens Of The Stone Age, CRB, and many others).
Older Sun has been described as "a band out of time, that may be ‘retro rock’ now, but if it was 1975, these guys would be ruling the arenas, and playing and partying with with the best of them.” – Aquarius Records
