Interesting coin, this Cloakcoin.

Is there any graph to show the feature comparison with other "Privacy" and "Anonymity" coins such as zcash, Monero, PIVX and Dash?

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I am also wondering about the future for Cloak, after the dev fund.

If we make a conservative estimation with 2,5 mio Cloakcoins staking and giving 1% to the fund with and average price on $20. That gives $500.000 in passive income for the first year.

That may sound like a lot of money, but ofc no team will ever say they can have enough money Smiley And this can also go up exponentially with the price increasing just a bit.

- But what I really just am trying to ask is - How are you guys planning to use the money? What are the cost of a dev working full time? Is Deepend even working full time at the moment?
- How are the rest of the team looking at it if ''only'' the devs are gonna be paid for their work since they are the last one joining the project, but the first one to feel it on their bank account?

So basically just wont to know in as much detail as possible how the plan for the money spending is looking !

AND when the Cloakcoin has established the fund, converted to the LTC codebase, made wallets online and on the different mobilephones, ofc this is not before 2019 if everythings goes smooth. What is the dev funds money then gonna be used for? - I know you guys probably are gonna say developing, but when I look at Cloak and where it has it focused it is very small - Privacy transactions. If all the above is developed and the products is working, then what? Are you guys then gonna go outside your box as privacy transactions and now focus on other things aswell or?

I would like to answer your questions:

First of all we have discussed only internal and in the CLOAK Chatroom  a while back about how the dev fund could be implemented and how the funding could be done. We have not made a final decision yet. Once our dev Deepend is done with his investigations we will provide the ideas publicly for discussion.

We plan to use the dev fund funds for further development, marketing & PR, sponsoring, attending conferences and events and so on. Primarily we plan to implement a voting system where the communty will be involved . Suggestions can be made and the communuty can vote for them.

Currently we do not have anyone working fulltime for a salary. The dev fund will give us the options to hire specialized staff for the tasks needed. Currently everything is privatly funded and the Team works for free in their spare time.

The HANDELSBLATT article is currently being translated into english and we will provide a link to the translated article once it is ready!

TREND REPORT spoke to Harry Sidiropoulos from CloakCoin about the idea behind the project and the possibilities to make profit with the cryptocurrency.

“Anonymity with payment transactions is way more than a basic right”, underlines Sidiropoulos an active crypto-enthusiasts since 2013 in the market. “Encrypted addresses and transactions shelter from unauthorized access.” Otherwise hacker could not just get a hold of digital coins, but also get access to sensitive transaction data. Data, which is dealt with thoughtless through the PSD2-guideline.

After a three-year development phase, the team published the transaction system Enigma in hold of the open source license.
"During all that years till today the project is self-funded", assures Sidiropoulos. An Enigma transaction cannot be traced back, sender and recipient cannot be identified. Data are neither recorded, nor saved online. "The moment an Enigma transaction is realized”, explains Sidiropoulos, other participants, named nodes, are chosen by the network. Via those the transaction amount is mixed, before the recipient receives the amount. The connection between sender and nodes is encrypted and is realized within a peer-to-peer network. For the sending of an Enigma transaction there is a fee charged depending on the transaction amount. This serves as a reward for the nodes, it’s distributed between those randomly between .2 % and 1 % of the sent coins. The more coins are transferred, the less Enigma fee percentage is charged.

CloakCoin is the first cryptocurrency, which is audited by Cognosec, a NASDAQ listed cybersecurity company.
“From this audit corrective actions could be derived and processual changes could be implemented”, says Sidiropoulos. “Enigma was optimized and weak spots were eliminated.”

The resource-efficient Proof-of-Stake algorithm is used for the coin-creation. Thereby the owner is rewarded with yearly six percent for simply holding the coins. This is the third income possibility for the cryptocurrency, besides a possible price gain and the fee income as a node for Enigma transactions.

A purchase of the coins is possible via crypto exchanges.
The newest CloakCoin-Wallet is withal user-friendly and further know-how is not necessary. Questions are answered in the chat at any time or at the 5. / 6. of April at the C3 Crypto Conference in Berlin, where Cloak is going to function as an exhibitor and sponsor.

Since Bittrex listing years back, you guys have hardly got listed at a good exchange. Are there any other exchanges in plan?

Cloak's value has been damaged quite a lot in the past couple of months, I mean, more than my other holdings.

Cloak is in the application phase of being listed on Binance. This is a huge step forward for Cloak. Being a small and self funded crypto, Cloak hasn't had the big cash to just give exchanges bitcoin to be listed. Cloak is now being listed (possibly) on merit. If the Binance listing is approved I believe this will open the doors towards other top exchanges giving Cloak a shot at being listed. However, just being listed on Binance alone will bring much larger amounts of Cash flow into Cloak like it has never seen before.

If Cloak gets accepted by Binance expect it to be announced in about 1-2 weeks from now judging on the length of time it took with other coins to be listed after the application phase.

This is arguably the biggest news for Cloak, even more so than the Audit and OS.

That is not really up to the Cloak team, it is up to the exchanges to implement Cloak or not. Cloak is already on Yobit, Cryptopia, and Bittrex (and probably another small exchange or too) so I can't imagine that a new exchange would make-or-break Cloakcoin.

[...] Cloak's value has been damaged quite a lot in the past couple of months, I mean, more than my other holdings.

Sorry to hear that, but coins go up and down. Cloak was just correcting from a huge boost, perhaps you bought in at the wrong time. Still though, if the market stays where it is Cloak will probably rebound again at some point.

Thank you for taking your time to answer my questions about some financials - I get that a lot of things haven't really been sorted out and will be when its time.

- Still hoping to get some answers to my follow up questions about the update, the ones that have not been answered in the meantime of course

I think they will put a roadmap of funds when they release they will be adding a dev fund. I know on the cloak chat one of the big things they have mentioned with a dev fund is 2 things, Marketing and full time staff. There is a large emphasis on marketing because that is arguably where we lack the most. What we will be doing with a full time staff is most likely 2 things: full time marketing staff and Code staff.

Deepend and all the rest of the devs are all doing this on their spare time. As far as I know none of them are full time (at least not officially).

I hope this answered a few of your questions but I can promise you the Devs will release a more rigid and detailed roadmap once they are ready.

I should be able to get into the dev fund within the next 2 weeks.  Once the dev fund is running, we will have plenty of options.  I am currently working on a higher priority item in cloakcoin.  Release coming soon.  Priorities are priorities.

liquidflames - Thank you for your comments and answers, it is much appreciated, but I was referring to these about the update.

I have highlighted the ones I'm missing answers to.

Thank you guys for the update and answers on the questions, I think we are many who appreciate this.

Really nice to see an article in a big ''in real life'' media to bring more attention to the project. That for me, really shows that this project is also starting to be taken serious in the real world and for me that just got an extra check mark for Cloak.
- Unfortunately it was written in German, but looking forward to see the english version though Smiley

The website is gonna be upgraded, any timings for that? - To be honest. I'm only looking forward to the blog implementation/news so I can easily stay updated without going through a lot of channels and posts, and hopefully getting more frequently updates from the team in an easy way to communicate.

The crypto conference in Berlin is gonna be really exciting to see how much attention you guys are gonna have, and if any partnerships might come out of this event. Hope we are getting an positive update afterwards Wink

Tom Gridland is trying to get Cloak accepted on online stores and in different industries. Can you say anything about how far you guys are with this partnerships. Are some at a point where they will accept Cloak or is it still at a meeting phase?
- How are they looking at Cloak at the moment with so small volume, so if they actually accepted Cloak they might devalue their own wealth by selling to realize their income?
- And what are they thinking about the project is still a good half year or more to implement LTC codebase. Are they a bit retaining because they don't know how that will role out, since the new codebase still needs a test phase, audit etc etc that might cause problems and security problems for anyone using in the future, and therefor delay the hole implementation?

Looking forward to see the article from Ming Pao, and it is also really nice to hear you guys have Nele Marie Palipea helping with the chinese community, she writes really nice and knowledge generating material !

And ofc - A few month ago a member from the team had a meeting with a few devs from IOTA, and we could hear the outcome but was up to the rest of the team. So what was the outcome?

Hello Friends!
I have notice that Claok is listed on CoinMonkey exchange and just wanted to here from you did anyone tried their services, are they legitim? [...]
Never heard of CoinMonkey before, probably best you steer clear of them until you are absolutely sure that they are legit.

btw what happened with http://forum.cloakcoin.com/ ?
Been down for a long time. Not sure why.

CoinMonkey is legit. The cloak team even announced the listing recently. It works like shapeshift, no registration needed. Basically it finds you the best exchange rate from multiple exchanges

Ah, sounds like they're probably good then. I was just being overly cautious (as it's best to be when some place handles your money).

I'm starting a technology blog T4CH.top, check it out!
