In August 2018, the Associated Press reported that 90 Muslim Americans had jumped into races for everything from school board to Congress since the start of the election cycle. Comparatively, only about one dozen Muslims ran for office in 2016. That’s a 650% increase in Muslims running for political office in the US in only one year.

On November 6, 2018, two female, Muslim candidates won clear victories in Minnesota and Michigan to become the first female Muslim members of the US House of Representatives.

One Muslim Democrat politician, in particular, Ilhan Omar, is coming under fire for changing her tune about Israel only days after being elected to the United States Congress.

The Washington Free Beacon reports that Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar came out against the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement during her campaign, but after winning the election, she now says she “supports the BDS movement.”

Omar, a Muslim Somali-American elected last week to replace outgoing Rep. Keith Ellison (D., Minn.) in the House, fought accusations that she held anti-Israel views during her campaign. As part of that effort, she told a group of Jewish voters in the state that she opposed the economic boycott of Israel, calling it “counteractive” and “not helpful in getting that two-state solution.”

But Omar’s tune has changed since winning the election. In an interview published Sunday by MuslimGirl, Omar said she “supports the BDS movement.”

“Ilhan believes in and supports the BDS movement, and has fought to make sure people’s right to support it isn’t criminalized,” her campaign told MuslimGirl, which said Omar had been criticized for coming out against BDS. Omar’s campaign also pointed MuslimGirl to her vote against an anti-BDS bill in Minnesota’s state legislature and her argument that boycott movements were successful in South Africa.

The comment is seen as a complete reversal by members of the Jewish community in her district.

“She’s either misrepresenting or misunderstanding, and I hope to be able to have a dialogue with her that clarifies which of those is the nature of her stance,” Rabbi Avi Olitzky, who hosted the event where Omar came out against BDS, told Forward, a Jewish news outlet.

Olitzky added that Omar was starting her “tenure off on the wrong foot.”

Omar defended her comments in text messages to a local Jewish reporter, saying the moderator “didn’t ask for a yes or no answer” at the initial event. Omar was asked during the debate to state “exactly where you stand” on BDS.

Only six years ago, the newly elected US Congresswoman, Democrat Ilhan Omar, tweeted about her hatred for Israel:

Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.

It should be noted, that a clear sign that she is not about to back down on her anti-Israel rhetoric, Omar has chosen to not delete her hateful, targeted tweet.

In addition to her open hatred for Israel, Omar was also recently under fire for her alleged marriage to her own brother.

In 2016, two Minnesota journalistsScott Johnson of Powerline and Preya Samsundar of AlphaNewsMN — researched an anonymous tip about Minnesota State Representative Ilhan Omar (D). The tipster had presented evidence that Omar married her brother in 2009, and was still legally his wife as of 2016. The tipster had also asserted that Omar may have done it to help her brother commit immigration fraud. Further, the tipster had noted that Omar has been “culturally” married to, and living with, a second man since 2002 — the father of her three children.

Her brother was a British citizen. “As soon as Ilhan Omar married him,” the post continues, “he started university at her [a]lma mater North Dakota State University where he graduated in 2012. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Minneapolis where he was living in a public housing complex and was later evicted. He then returned to the United Kingdom where he now lives.”

Omar also has strong opinions about her hatred for our Commander in Chief. Today, Omar tweeted a response to Secretary of Education Betsey Devos’s tweet about new guidelines for schools dealing with sexual assault and harassment allegations, saying, How about some guidelines for mandatory consent education so that boys don’t grow into men like our President?

Omar has either forgotten or it doesn’t matter to her, that the person whose seat she is filling, Muslim Congressman Keith Ellison (D), was just forced to resign from his position as the DNC vice chair over more than one accusation of domestic abuse.

In August, independent journalist and Jewish American, Laura Loomer confronted Ilhan Omar and MI Muslim, Rashida Tlaib, who were both running for Congress, about their support for the terror group Hamas, and their hatred for President Trump. She also asked Omar about her marrying her brother and her vote against FGM (female genitalia mutilation) in the MN Congress that would make anyone who committed this heinous act against young girls a felony.

The other female Muslim elected to the US House of Representatives, in the 13th district of Michigan, Rashida Tlaib will be filling the seat of the disgraced Democrat Congressman, John Conyers, the longest running member of the House before he was quietly run out of DC amidst several sexual assault allegations against him. Former Congressman John Conyers (D) was hoping that his son would fill his seat, but when John Conyers III came up 1,000 signatures short on his petition to get his name on the primary ballot, Tlaib saw an opening in a weak US Congressional race and capitalized on it.

Newsweek celebrated Tlaib’s win.

Palestinians in the West Bank cheered on Wednesday morning as they awoke to the news that Rashida Tlaib, a Democrat, had been elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Representing Michigan’s 13th congressional district, encompassing southwest Detroit and its western suburbs to the city of Dearborn, Tlaib, 42, made history, along with Minnesota’s Ilhan Omar, as they become the first Muslim women elected to Congress. Tlaib is also the first Palestinian-American woman elected to the legislative body. Both also ran on progressive Democrat platforms.

She has become “a source of pride for Palestine and the entire Arab and Muslim world,” Tlaib’s uncle Bassam Tlaib told Reuters in the small Palestinian village of Beit Ur Al-Fauqa.

Watch the video below, as Michigan’s first Muslim Congresswoman, Rashida Tlaib can be seen celebrating her victory by wrapping herself in the Palestinian flag and hugging her Palestinian mother.

Listen, as she tells the crowd about how proud the Palestinians on the West Bank are of her nomination to the US Congress, and how they’re glued to their televisions. You can also hear what appears to be a middle eastern male in the background expressing his enthusiasm, as he almost drowns out the sound of Tlaib’s voice with his celebratory ululation (a shrill sounding tongue trill that is commonly heard in the Middle East).

A Phd research scholar in New Delhi nailed it with his response to the newly elected Democrat, pro-Palestinian, Muslim Congresswoman:

Inching closer to Dar-Ul-Islam from Dar-Ul-Harb! Indeed a day to celebrate! Even many naive Americans will celebrate, without realizing what harm they are doing for future Americans. Will realize when it’s too late and Sharia already implemented!

“Dar-Ul-Islam” refers to Muslim sovereignty where Mulsim law (Sharia law) prevails.

It’s interesting to note all of the finger pointing by Democrats at Presdient Trump when a synogogue in Philadelphia was shot up and 13 Jews were killed by a man who hated Trump. Meanwhile, President Trump has been called the most “pro-Israel President in America’s history” by many prominent Jews, including the brillaint talk show host giant and conservative author, Mark Levin. On the other hand, Democrats just elected two Muslim, anti-Israel women to our United States Congress. Can someone please explain why it’s okay for Democrats to elect two new members to o Congress who clearly have no tolerance for Israel, our most important ally in the middle east?
