Two juveniles were charged with vandalizing vehicles in San Elizario earlier this month.

As previously reported, people in the neighborhood said vandals punctured multiple vehicle tires.

According to a spokesperson with the San Elizario Marshals, two juveniles were charged with burglary of a vehicle and criminal mischief.

Norman Harrison’s security camera captured the juveniles in action.

“Two individuals came and actually went into my truck and stole my camera out of my truck and then they poked holes in my tires and then proceeded to go down the neighborhood all the way down both sides of the street around the corner,” Harrison said.

The next morning, many of the people living on Oscar Chacon Street, and surrounding areas, woke up to find slashed tires on their vehicles.

Harrison told KFOX14 the damage to his tires was so bad, he’ll have to replace them completely.

He said he’s talked to about 15 neighbors who are dealing with the same thing.

Driving through the neighborhood almost a week later, KFOX14 counted at least four cars that still have flat tires.

“Everyone’s pretty freaked out. [There are] a lot of kids in this area. I have five boys here. The whole neighborhood has kids all the way down so just worried that if somebody would have came outside what could have happened. Could have gone from vandalism to something worse,” Harrison said.

The vandals were taken to the juvenile detention facility.
