The Alice Smith School Foundation Charity Dinner 2019

In partnership with the Enrichment team and our Secondary students, The Alice Smith School Foundation hosted its Foundation Charity Dinner on Friday, 22nd February 2019 at the Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

The Charity Dinner is an integral part of our calendar, having being introduced in 2010. This is an event organised and run entirely by volunteer students, staff and parents. Our students wait on tables and serve a three-course dinner to guests. During the dinner, guests are entertained by wonderful student performances, from stand-up comedy to classical music. Some of the great items that will be auctioned include a lovely painted collaborative portraits of Superheroes by our Year 6 students, referenced from the work of artist Chuck Close; a large Dome art piece by Tony Prove; and an unforgettable dining experience with Danielle Peita Graham, the celebrity chef.

Funds earned from ticket sales, the raffle and the auction go to the charities where our secondary students are involved in community work during school trips.

Flashback: KLASS Charity Dinner 2018

The Charity Dinner, repeatedly praised as one of the highlights of the school year, aims to raise awareness of, and money for, our community service projects, both locally and internationally. Funds raised are used through service work to renovate underfunded schools, for community development and resource acquisition, as well as a range of wildlife and environmental conservation projects.
