Shreveport toddler dies after being found unresponsive in bathtub

A 2-year-old girl found unresponsive in a bathtub, and who subsequently died at a local hospital, has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office.

Stariana Jones was found unresponsive in the family bathtub in an apartment in the 9000 block of Youree Drive some time early Thursday. She was transported to WK Pierremont Health Center where she died at 10:41 a.m.

An autopsy has been ordered at Ochsner LSU Health hospital.

The incident and death remain under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department.
