Crosman Pioneer Airbow
If you're a big game hunter living in Arizona*, you are Crosman Golden. It's the only state in the US where there's a season for pursuing just about every species of big game on the Crosman docket with the company's forthcoming Pioneer Airbow. The exceptions: turkey and alligator. And surely alligator is verboten only because, uh, they don't have those in Arizona.
Go figure on the turkey.
Available for pre-order at printing, and scheduled to ship in April 2016, the Pioneer Airbow is Crosman's "all-new category of big game weapon." It's based on Benjamin's PCP platform, using 3000 PSI of compressed air to fire full-length arrows and full-weight broadheads at 450 FPS. The Pioneer can unleash 8 shots in the same amount of time it would take a crossbow to release 3.
Crosman also notes that as beastly as their beast hunter is, the Pioneer is just as safe and accessible for sporting men and women to use. Airbow arrows are set to stabilize quickly for an expanded kill range, and canting does not affect accuracy. People of all sizes and strengths should be able to wield, manipulate, and maintain the Pioneer.
Additional Pioneer features include an ambidextrous top cocking bolt, an adjustable CenterPoint 6 x 40 mm scope designed specifically for the Airbow, and a canted Picatinny base with 20 MOA of additional adjustment options. The weapon measures 33-1/2" long and weighs 7 pounds.
