Toy Making Bench

What this mod gives you?

This mod will bring back a memory from the past, an exciting functional object from the time of Sims 2 - the Toy Making Bench, improved and optimized with a custom skill, a bunch of different craftables, and different ways to sell your products!

Functional Object

You can find Toy Making Bench by typing ‘Toy Making’ in the search bar or under indoor activities/hobbies/ activities (creative).

It costs 725$

And it comes in 2 colors (recolors allowed, do NOT include the mesh).

Interactions on the bench

You can craft different toys or admire the newly-bought bench. The bench is working Off-The-Grid and it’s unbreakable.

Custom Skill

Brand new skill - Toy Making, it includes 10 levels, and it is gained by reading skill books (can be bought from the bookshelf or computer) and crafting items on the Toy Making Bench.

At level 5 of the skill, a new interaction is unlocked on the products - Sell To Toys Collector.

At level 10, another interaction is unlocked Sell To Toys Store.

Another specifics includes custom skill icon, and has custom thought bubbles when reading the skill books. The crafting animations are the same from the woodworking table. (Mirai told me that in the Sims 2 the animation was close to this one so I kept it, since I wasn’t sure what other would fit this type of crafting).

If you have get together, toy making is also a Club Activity option, and if you have Seasons, there are also holidays.

With each skill level more and more craftables are unlocked on the station.

Custom preference - your Sim can have a preference towards toy making, you can choose it in Create-A-Sim under Hobby category, or leave the faith to decide.

Craftable Items

There are 40 different craftables!

Which are mixture of my own designs, sims 4 existing toys, sims 2 and sims 3 conversions and a few bought designs from Sketchfab.

12 of the toys require pandasama’s tuning, so make sure to download their toys, if you don’t have them already (at the bottom of the page chewck the reference)!

Each craftable require certain level of skill and an optional ingredient to be produced.

Cottage Living Wool, My Cotton Yarns, or Mirai’s Logs

Craftables:

L1: Small wooden toys

L2: Colored wooden toys

L3: Woven toys

L4: Plush toys

L5: Hanoi Tower, Teddy Bear

L6: Small Dollhouse

L7: Commersial Toys

L8: Play Phone, Xylophones and Drums (use the xylophone tuning)

L9: Rocking Horses, Toy Kitchen and Large Dollhouse

L10: Spring Horses

Once your Sim finish crafting the objects will directly go in your Sim’s inventory, the ones that require pandasama’s tuning will be found in the household inventory. Then you can drag them and place them wherever you want. You can enlist the products on Plopsy (except the ones that require pandasama’s tuning), sell them  through my custom interactions (added a script to be able to sell the toys that require pandasama’s tuning as well, note that the option to sell will show up on all items that contain this tuning, not only the items from the crafting station, since the interaction is injected in the tuning id, not in the objects itself) or decorate your child sim room. All toys are still fully functional, so children can still play with them.

REQUIREMENTS:

BASE GAME

Pandasama’s rocking horse, telephone, xylophone and rock-a-stack, play kitchen

KNOWN ISSUE:

The large plush bear can not be placed inside the lot, I literally tried everything to lift the toy as far as possible from the ground, but it still says it inserts the floor or ceiling, you need to use bb.moveobjects on to place it in the house.

Note: While in reality The Astro-Hungarian Empire Weapons during the Great War Are Hodgepodge of Armament With German Empire weapons that Covered in our Previous Post. This Post Was covering the Homegrown Weapons From Astro-Hungarian Empire that used During WW1 Despite one of them Are Never Actually Exist in Real life.

Mannlicher M1895
The Mannlicher M1895 is an Austro-Hungarian bolt-action  rifle, developed and designed by Ferdinand Ritter Von Mannlicher. It  features a straight-pull bolt-action feeding from single-column magazine  fed by en-bloc 5-round clips. The long rifle features a 30.1" barrel,  and the carbine a 19" barrel. Both rifle and carbine feature a  single-piece stock with full-length handguard. It fires the 8x50mmR  cartridge. The rifle was produced at Österreichische  Waffenfabriks-Gesellschaft, Steyr, from 1896 to 1918, and Fegyver és  Gépgyár Rt. (“Arms and Machine Manufacturing Company”) in Budapest from  1897 to 1918. Over 3,000,000 rifles were produced, roughly 75% at Steyr.  Bulgaria purchased many M95s, beginning in 1903. It was the primary  battle rifle of the Austro-Hungarian Landwehr and the Bulgarian Army  during World War I, and continued to serve the postwar Austrian,  Hungarian, and Bulgarian armies. Atleast until World War II

Frommer Stop
The Frommer Stop is a semi-automatic pistol produced in 1912 by Fegyver- és Gépgyártó Részvénytársaság (“Arms and Machine Manufacturing Company”)  Known As FÉG of Hungary. It was used throughout World War I and World War II by the Hungarian Armed Forces. Designer Rudolf Frommer adapted the design from another pistol that fired .32 ACP (7.65mm) from a seven-round detachable magazine.  The weapon is unusual among automatic pistols in using a long-recoil system of operation. The Frommer Stop was available in 2 proprietary cartridges, similar to the .32 and .380 ACP, respectively. However, the Stop’s cartridges had more powder and fired a heavier bullet. The Stop could fire regular .32 and .380 rounds, though, with less reliability.

The Standschütze Hellriegel 1915
The Hellriegel 1915 is a prototype water-cooled submachine gun for or by the Austro-Hungarian reserves (Standschützen) during World War I, by a designer identified only as “Hellriegel”. The weapon could be fed from either box magazines or chute-fed.
A highly obscure weapon, no complete examples are known to still exist, no documentation remains, the only remaining evidence being three  photographs dated October 1915 depicting the weapon being tested. As a result, its operating mechanisms and development history are pure speculation. Its apparent automatic fire capability and pistol caliber  would make it one of the earliest sub machine gun designs in history.

Sifix' Sansa Dress Edit & Recolour

Every time I look at @sifix' creations I cry a little bit inside, as they're all so beautiful and yet completely not suited for any of my gameplays - be it Victorian or Iron Age. Last time it happened I got determined to find at least a couple of meshes which maaaaaybe could work if I tweaked them just a bit here and there, and dyed them in era-appropriate colours... And indeed, I did find some! Here comes the first of those pieces: my edit and recolour of Sifix' gorgeous Sansa dress. Hopefully it won't be the last one :)

What has changed:

  • higher hemline - because floor-length dresses/skirts might look splendid trailing on stone castle floors, but are not best suited to living in simple huts and jumping through mud on a daily basis;
  • a simple leather belt instead of that wide, ornamental thingy the og dress had;
  • a bit wider sleeves, to give it a more casual, less tailored look;
  • some small weights adjustments (a.k.a. my almost vain attempts to get rid of a stubborn spike appearing in the neckline)

Comes in all the 40 colours of my Iron Age palette. I tried making chequered versions too, but they didn't look good; I'd have to change half of the uv map, which means I'd have to bake the 3d layer myself instead of using the one already provided, and that's probably my least favourite part of cc-making, so all in all... Just no. No plaids this time.

Comes in 2 versions: HQ (-mod-compatible) or not. Download just one.

As I edited the mesh, it's obviously included. You don't need the og dress for it to work. But you probably already have it anyway ;)

Makes for a nice outfit for colder days, especially with proper accessories (all by @simverses).

The Lockhart End of Summer Ball ― Late summer, 1811

image

Catherine: Good luck tonight, my dear. And just remember, we remain only for the next few days.

image

Charlotte: I know Mama, thank you.

image
image

Margareth: Charlotte!
Vioris: We didn’t expect to see you tonight.

image

M: Oh my days, how are you? I’m so sorry for what Arabella said to you.
C: I’m alright, thank you girls. I just want to have fun tonight.
V: Then it is fun you shall have!

image

M: Oh you haven’t heard about Vioris and Mister Ashburn.
C: Mister Ashburn?
V: Margareth…

image

M: He’s called on her ever since we’ve arrived here in Henford! They’ve gone out three times now, and he’s promised her a dance tonight before she departs on the morrow.
C: Well who is he? I don’t recognize the name.

image

V: He’s the son of a store clerk, he’s a librarian. He’s… kind, and writes me letters every day.

image

C: He’s the man you’ve been exchanging letters with since last Winterfest!
M: He might propose tonight!
V: Margareth, be reasonable.

image

M: I am! You cannot tell me that a man who’s spent so much time with a young lady as he has with you will not propose the day before you are to return to Britechester!
C: It is very likely, Vioris.

image

Gentleman: Pardon me, ladies. I was hoping I could have this next dance with Miss Milbourne?

image

C: [smiles] Yes of course.
