goddess of forgetfulness mimi jean pamfiloff

Goddess of Forgetfulness is book four in the Immortal Matchmakers, Inc. series by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. I’ve read all of this series so I pretty much thought I knew what I was getting in to going in to this, but I underestimated Mimi Jean! This book takes crazy to a whole new level. And it also deals with I believe three different situations, all twisted together in a disturbing and wonderful way! In other words, there isn’t a single slow moment in the entire book!

The Goddess of Forgetfulness, aka Forgetty, aka DJ Whatsherface, is kind of a bringer of happiness. She is a DJ and when she does her fabulous mashups for huge crowds of people, she instinctively knows just the right music to play. When people are around her, they forget their problems or pain and only feel happiness. The problem is, they also forget her. No one can remember who she is, only that they feel happy.

“It was she who made others forget their pain, their anger, their shopping lists.”

djay

If you remember in the previous books, if the Gods aren’t mated, they will soon flip, meaning the evil ones will become nice and the nice ones will become evil. Forgetty is starting to feel the symptoms of flipping because she has not found her mate. How can she when five minutes after meeting a man, they can’t remember who she is? Her perfect mate has to be out there somewhere.

goddess of forgetfulness mimi jean pamfiloff

She asks Cimil for help but she is busy with other things, like trying to find Zac, who has flipped, and is after Tula. So she takes matters into her own hands. But then she discovers that there is a man who she thinks is part of the road crew on her tour that actually remembers her! The problem is, he is the rudest man she has ever met! Could the fates be that cruel?

This was a crazy wild ride! We not only get Forgetty and Tavas’s story, but are also getting more on Zac and Tula’s story and some major plot twists with Cimil. With both Zac and Tula, and Cimil, I’m talking huge! I gasped!!! But along with all the crazy were some surprisingly sweet moments. I mean, no one ever remembers Forgetty. She is invisible to everyone and as a result, leads a pretty lonely existence. But one man remembers her, he sees her.

“You matter even if the world doesn’t know you exist.”

Buckle up for this one ladies. You’re going to love it! I saw at the end of the book that Colel, the Goddess of Bees is next. I can hardly wait!

Can you imagine waiting over seventy thousand years for that one special man to come along? The guy whose heart you have etched your very existence into? Suddenly, there he is and he is definitely hot, definitely god-like and then he opens his mouth and spews bad attitude, poor manners and pure venom. Welcome to Forgetty’s world, as the GODDESS OF FORGETFULNESS becomes Mimi Jean Pamfiloff’s next victim heroine in the latest laugh-out-loud tale of dysfunctional gods and goddesses in a rush to find their eternal mate before they lose their minds to the dark side and all hell breaks loose for us mere mortals.

Is this another of Cimil’s tricks? Hey, I only ask because she is definitely involved, somehow!

Settle in and get ready to rumble as the path to love becomes a rocky trail to follow, a wild dance to the beat of a different drummer, a fiasco of fun and frivolity as the fickle finger of Fate dangles a happily-ever-after in the faces of more than one eternal couple looking for love!

Always fun, always entertaining, there is never a dull moment when Mimi Jean Pamfiloff unleashes her wicked imagination on an unsuspecting world!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Mimi Jean Pamfiloff!

Filled with hilarious banter, totally dysfunctional gods, mermen, and a pathologically lying "Goddess of S'mores and garage sales", The Goddess of Forgetfulness is a hot mess of a book. It was like trying to herd kittens, but in literary form. And I mean that in the best way possible! This story had me giggling and snorting and was just plain fun.

As the apocalypse looms since the gods are all "turning" from good to evil, the Goddess of Forgetfulness must find her true mate to keep from wiping the minds of all humankind. Yet how does a goddess that no one can even remember find a man that can't live without her? Enter Tavas Liath, a man that can't forget Forgetty, no matter how much he tries. But Tavas has some secrets of his own that can complicate Forgetty's quest for a mate.

I'm not even sure where to start with this book, since there was so much going on. New fans of Mimi's may want to start with the first book in the Immortal Matchmaker's series to get a better background on all of the gods and goddesses, because this one does build upon prior events. And it will make references to the God of Wine and Decapitation and bloodthirsty invisible unicorns more meaningful. But regardless of the background, there were still elements of this book that I found touching and universal. Forgetty's feelings of invisibility, where she resigned herself to being the afterthought, the one always forgotten, were touching. As a goddess that even her brothers and sisters could only vaguely recall, it was sweet to have her find a love that saw her for who she was and couldn't get her out of their mind.

I do wish that more of the book focused on the romance and feelings between Tavas and Forgetty as this felt like more of a transitional book. So much was going on with other characters (I'm looking at you Zac and Cimil) that it seemed it was more used for setting up their stories in future books than truly concentrating on Forgetty's quest for love. But that didn't take away from the fun and hilarity of the story at hand.

This story about a woman who can't be remembered is one that you won't soon forget!

ARC REVIEW

Those crazy Gods and Goddesses are back!

Immortal Matchmakers Inc. #4 Finally brings us one of my favorites Forgetty, aka DJ Whatsherface, or Getty, or Hey You. I love these characters because they are bat shit crazy and so unpredictable. I had no idea what to expect when it came to this book and I was blown out of the water, Forgetty is so much better than I hoped for and not just her story but the side story with Zac and Tula. Yes this is a stand alone you don't need to read the first books or even the original series Accidentally...Yours? (But I highly recommend both series) But the Zac and Tula story has been going on since the first book in the series Immortal Matchmakers Inc. and that's the only part that might make a first reader a little lost. MJ does do a good job of reminding us what happened previously without it sounding redundant to a returning reader.

Ever since Cimil, Goddess of the Underworld, messed with the natural order of things and stopped the world from ending things have been a little hinky. As her punishment for basically screwing with everyone Cimil and Zac, God of Temptation, have been punished stripped of their powers and forced to play matchmaker to their fellow gods and other immortals. It was soon discovered that the whole natural order of things is screwed up and those things that were once evil are now good. Unfortunately that also means beings that are good are going to turn evil, unless they find their soul mate which leads to the balancing out their good and evil. Forgetty can feel it, the evil wanting to take over she's desperate for Cimil's matchmaking help but the ditsy Cimil is otherwise occupied. See she his Tula way from Zac she manipulated everything so it would have her desired outcome but she screwed up once again and when Zac finds Tula it's going to be a bloodbath. Forgetty decides to take matters into her own hands after all she is a famous DJ currently traveling on tour with a handful of other DJs, she has adoring fans, fans who don't actually remember her but they are her fans, maybe she can find just one who wants to be more than that. Out of all the people in the world it had to be him. He was rude and mean and just way too damn good looking, he's arrogant and crude, sexy as sin and he actually remembers her. He's all wrong for her and oh so perfect at the same time. Forgetty is willing to let all his pompous behavior slide just to keep from turning evil; but there is more to Tavas that he lets on. Meanwhile Cimil's plan blows up in her face.

Overall, these books just keep getting better and better. No cliffhanger but there is a mighty big teaser ending about Zac and Tula, I tell ya there's is a continuing story. It was nice to see Forgetty and my other favorite Goddess, Ixtab, work together. This book put me through the emotional ringer. I laughed, I cried, I cursed, and I begged for more. I quote my favorite Bond song, "Nobody does it better".

Wow! What a crazy roller coaster ride this was. So much going on in this fourth book of the amazing Immortal Matchmaker Inc. Series. First of all , there's a big plot twist involving Zac, Tula and Cimil. I was gasping for breath after what happened.

The Goddess of Forgetfulness, aka forgetty, aka DJ whatsherface is close to flipping. If she doesn't find her fated mate soon enough she will turn evil. And because she is the Goddess of Forgetfulness she is invisible to everyone. Even her siblings have problem remembering things around her. If she flips there's going to be a world wide amnesia. So, when a guy who she thinks is a roadie bumps into her thrice and still remembers her, forgetty is left questioning Universe sanity. Because the guy is not just super sexy, he's super rude too. And he is definitely hidding some major secrets. Major icky secrets. Need to know more? Well read the book.

Why can't I give more than five stars... in all honesty this is the first book that has made me ask that. I loved this adventure from beginning to the not so end end. This is not just your average emotional roller-coaster, it is the most epic twisty, climbing, plummeting and thrilling one ever made (in my humble opinion)

Gotta love this Goddess, she is sweet, funny and so heartbreaking. No one ever remembers her but her brother Acan the God of Wine yet even he is forgetting her now. She is so dismayed by who the universe says is her mate it is crazy fun and sad all at the same time. Távas is cocky, handsome, and so not what I expected and yet also what I have come to expect from this wild and crazy lovable world. We also get more of Zac and Tula in this one and a awesomesauce twist of a peek from another of Mimi's brilliant series (loved the cross over). Can't wait for more!

OMG. How twisted can Mimi Jean make a book? Apparently very twisted. “The Goddess of Forgetfulness” is a humdinger. Loved, Loved, LOVED ❤️ IT! This is the best one so far and I love be all her books. Its part of the Immortal Matchmaker series with a crossover into another one (I’ll won’t give away to much but the other series has mermen).
The book itself poses one of the greatest philosophical dilemmas of all time: Can one feel guilty for rooting for the evilest person that has ever existed? Nope, not one bit. So, I’ve come to the conclusion I must be a bit evil myself.
The Goddess of Forgetfulness needs to find her perfectly matched mate before she becomes evil, but her mate is very far from perfect. Forgetty has so much to offer that special someone but know one can remember her. And here’s the angst: The one person that can remember her completely is a vile evil king of the gods’ greatest enemy. The book deals with love (with kinky sex thrown in), friendship and betrayal that has to be navigated before anyone in this story gets their HEA.
I give this book five roles of duct tape of approval.

Goddess of Forgetfulness (Immortal Matchmakers Inc 4) by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

### 5 Crazy Hashtags ###

God I love the immortal matchmaker series, it's a wild, crazy and a flipping hilarious ride that you wont forget!! The way Mimi uniquely blends the characters from her other books is amazing, here we even have Roan and his Mermen.

I guess this could be read as a standalone, however I would highly recommend reading the others first, just to get your fix of strange and crazy and of course some background on the colourful characters along with the bizarre and unexpected happenings.

Mimi never fails to disappoint, giving an truly epic journey throughout the book. I'd love to have a day in Mimi's imagination.

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is another book by the author that had me giggling like a loon and grinning like a cheshire cat.

You have to feel for Forgetty though, i mean who else could be a seventy thousand year old virgin? Everyone forgets her, everyone forgets what they were doing around her, pilots be warned and even her brothers and sisters don't remember her well. Only Acan the god of wine seems to remember her, until HIM.

Távashas his own secrets that we do not get straight away, but at least they are willing to give things ago despite their problems, and Forgery's willingness to put up with just about anything to be with her mate.

We get to many of the other immortal characters in the book. Zac goes after Tula, Acan has to help Forgetty, Cimil does her thing and we even get mermen involved too.

Seriously, whats not in this book NOT to like? Nothing! I would certainly give this book more than 5 stars if i could.

I was laughing out loud by the fifth page of the book This is a classic tale about the struggle between good and evil and how love can really soften even the hardest heart. Mimi Jean Pamfiloff's creative mind in truly amazing. From her fertile imagination comes a cast of characters who are boisterous, chaotic, hilarious and at times diabolical and the storylines are out of the ordinary and dynamic.

Forgetty's struggle to throw off her cloak of anonymity is sad and identifiable. Her shock in finding out who her life mate is and her struggles to overcome what seem to be insurmountable obstacles makes for entertaining reading. Cimil's continuing antics are priceless and sinister. Zac's sudden clarity about Tula is wonderfully heartbreaking. In short, this book and this entire series is so worth reading!

From page one Mimi Jean hooks you in. Forgetty is starting to lose feeling in her fingers and knows she's gonna flip and go to the darkside unless she can find her mate. But how does a 70000 year old goddess that everyone forgets find a man? The crazy roller coaster starts on page one and keeps you laughing and swearing all the way to the end. Cimil is up to her old tricks, Minky is missing, and one hunk of a man keeps knocking Forgetty down. There is no way this is her mate, or is he? Hop on the crazy train and see what happens next in the Immortal Matchmaking Series, you won't be disappointed.

Sometimes when Forgetty and Távas are arguing the man blurts things out, "god, I so want to throw you down on the floor and eff you.” Forgetty sometimes gets off subject, "...hooked around your big, strong shoulders while you effed me breathless with your big ***k.” She paused. “It is big, isn’t it?” I really enjoyer this book, Forgetty was a hoot and I have to say I didn't see some things coming so I'm really excited about the next installment.

This was one of my favorite of the Immortal Matchmakers Inc series so far. The Goddess of Forgetfulness (aka Forgetty or just plain Getty) is the one everyone always forgets about but she can't be forgotten and pushed aside any longer, she's the next God ready to flip her evil switch! Afraid of what will happen if she turns evil and possibly causes the whole world to forget EVERYTHING (hello people will even forget they need to take care of personal hygiene!) Forgetty decides to go on one last DJ tour where she manages to find her perfect match. Távas is the man she literally keeps running into when she realizes he can actually remember her, meaning this is the man The Universe made her to be with. There's only one problem. He's a jackass. And maybe the minor problem that he's also super evil. Can good and evil balance each other out to save the world from forgetting literally everything? Find out the answer to this and other burning questions in Goddess of Forgetfulness by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff.

The Gods and Goddesses were their wacky, sometimes evil, sometimes loving–and in Cimil’s case, bat crap crazy manipulative–selves in Goddess of Forgetfulness. In true Mimi fashion, readers will never expect where things end up. But then again, that’s half the fun!

Learning all about Forgetty was a crazy good time. And I’m happy to say I liked her just as much as I was hoping I would from what we’ve seen of her in previous books. We got to watch her here in all her go-go boot wearing, DJ record spinning glory. What surprised me was how much my heart went out to Forgetty as we saw how lonely she was and what it did to her to be so, well, forgettable. But she had pretty much learned how to handle it over the centuries... Read More

The first time that i saw a Mimi Jean Pamfiloff book, it was an ad on Facebook for her Mermen series. While i hadn't had a chance to read the series, i was instantly curious to find out what she'd have in store for her readers. I began to somewhat stalk her (not the creepy kind of way, but the one where you tried to gather as much information about her... well crap, that does sound stalker-ish, but totally not it). Anyways, since that day, i've had the chance to read quite a few books from her and god i love her stories. Not one is the same as the other and the stories so very enchanting that i simply can't get over how little s£x is in the books, but the chemistry is through the roof. She writes it that great.

Reading Goddess of Forgetfulness was a little like this:

A touch of OCD, ADHD, and reading a child's mind or listening to their conversation as they play with their friends. You know it makes sense in their own minds, but in practice, you wonder if they are paying attention to what's actually happening.

It was so very entertaining. I can't count the number of times that i laughed because i stopped after at least 20 times. Not the small chuckling type of laugh, but the belly full of laughter. Whatsherface/Forgetty/Miss/etc. Is a force to be reckoned with, but Tavas... oh yeah. Him. I like. Very much. He's just everything you'd want in an alpha.. even when he's trying to be good. There was so much stories in this one book that i'm just hoping that there will be more - i know there will be more, but i just want ALL of their stories. Yes, i'm that selfish.

I highly doubt i need to say just how much i'd suggest this book to others...

This much anticipated book in the Immortal Matchmakers series does not disappoint! How can the Goddess of Forgetfulness find her mate and save the world if even her own brothers and sisters barely remember her? Readers of this series will love where this one goes!! For new readers, the story is an exciting one on it’s own but I strongly suggest knowing the back story to get the full impact of who the universe (and Mimi) has matched this Goddess with. We even get to visit with some mermen!! Love, love, love this book!!

Man oh man.. What a devious mind this writer has!!!!

Let me tell you something, with Mimi you never know if you are going up or down or sideways. That is one of the things I love about her books. They are definitely not copy paste.

In this book we have Hmmnnnnnn, I forget.. Oh right Forgetty !!! Goddess of forgetfulness. And what a bummer her life has been, imagine never being recognised or even acknowledged by the people or your peers, well that has been her life, the price she has paid for making the humans forget.

But there is one sole person that cannot forget her, just one in all the world. Except he is the most insufferable man known to…. all really.

But who is he, and why he can remember her???

This is the fourth book in the Immortal Matchmakers series, and usually this books can be read as standalone, but not this book. You definitely need to have read the other books to truly understand the going in this book.

The conniving twisted mind of Mimi is really a hoot. The book is a fun filled crazy roller-coaster ride in a world full of gods, vampires, incubi and invisible unicorns (well just one!).

One thing I love about the way Mimi writes, is the continuous use of everyday references:

"After all, he was naked, ' cause, really, who gave a f*ck? Or three or four an so on... "Bring it Dory."

All in all its definitely a TO READ BOOK!! and I give a huge

Getty gets a guy!!

Oh. My. Holy. Hell. This book was one roller coaster of a ride and I didnt want it to end! Unforgettable characters and scenarios abounded within this book! The fun, and chaotic, surprises just kept coming, clearing up certain things yet revealing new mysteries. The humour and sass were on point, but underneath the potentially world ending level drama true, deep emotions were beautifully played out.

This is story you need to experience for yourself. Its filled with gods, monsters, mermen, the crayest unicorn known to man, the priceless wisdom of Acan, the unstable insanity/genuis that is Cimil, an unfortunate amount of clowns/clown honks, a chicken wing fixation, a woman who wants to be remembered, a man who cant forget, and a heartwarming example of love conquering all.

Read this book! Read it!

Laugh out funny and another steamy misadventure from Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. Forgetty isn't very forgettable in the newest installment in the Immortal Matchmakers, Inc.! A jerk of a man for a mate she doesn't want leads Forgetty on an adventure that may leave her tittering closer to dropping over the edge to Evilburg population, steadily growing.
Forgetty, being the Goddess of Forgetfulness, is never remembered by anyone including her brethren. But the music she spins keeps something in mortals' minds. Then enters Távas; massive, brooding, and well ... a jerk. But something in him calls to her and their chemistry is undeniable.
Dark secrets lurk, along with Cimil causing her usual mischief in book for fourth installment you don't want to miss!
Plus there is mermen!
And Minky!
And plenty of tomfoolery that will leave you in stitches and wanting more!

This series is SO FUN!!!

I totally get Mimi's sense of humor. A Little sassy, a little vulgar, but absolutely perfect. I love how she weaves not only that humor, but also the element of suspense throughout the story. After all, Forgetty's time is running out!

I'll admit that I wasn't sure if I would like Távas at first. He came across as being kinda over-the-top mean to Forgetty, but, as you can imagine, it all worked out in the end :)

I'm happy that I got to catch up with characters from the previous book in the series, and I can't wait for more books in the series!!!

This is a story about, uh, someone?
I was going to post a better review, but I forgot what I was doing...
Another good story! There were a lot of things that upset me in this story, but i'm sure they'll get sorted out eventually. But it was nice to see a few people get a bit of happiness, although I don't remember them being too unhappy before?
Hmm, I feel like i'm forgetting something.
Oh, darn.

I’ve waited sooo long for Forgetty … I think. But, it was well worth the wait. I believe that this is the best of the IMM series so far. In classic Mimi style, we are in for a fun ride on a party bus with surprise destinations, eclectic tour guides and belly laughs on every page. You could read this as a standalone but there are a lot of characters from earlier in the series and even other series that add extra tongue in cheek to the story.

This entire series is a fistful of entertaining fun.
If you are not reading the Immortal Matchmakers series, you need to, right now.

The Goddess of Forgetfulness is like that one friend you have who, knows how to have fun, takes no prisoners and has absolutely no filter. I laughed at the outrageous goings on in this book from the minute I started reading the 'Warning'. This is definitely Mimi Jean Pamfiloff at her finest.

The story line running through this series that interconnects the characters gave us a few shocks and surprises in this release, so I'm anxious to see what's in store for us next. I absolutely love this series.

Oopsie, what’s the goddess name in this book – Whatsherface? The DJ who played good music? Anyway, I loved her. She’s a much better character compared to the other goddesses, that’s including you Cimil! What you did to Zac and Tula wasn’t fair, poor couple. I wonder if Minky can pull some magic and make her visible. As usual, the side story captivated me more than the main story, and I can’t wait to find out Cimil’s fate and also my favourite couple Zac and Tula.

The Immortal Matchmakers Series is just a fun series that I love reading! They're hilarious, they're all kind of crazy in their own way, but you'll be rooting for all of them to find their mates.

Next up in this series, we have the Goddess of Forgetfulness or Forgety or Aurora. And can I just say how heartbreaking it is that she didn't really have a name because people just forget about her ... Yet another reason why I was rooting so hard for her to find her mate. And once it's revealed who her mate is, it was the last person I expected it to be. And I questioned, "how the hell is this going to work?", which made me get sad all over again because I was nearly giving in that she wouldn't have a mate. But trust me, there's a happy ending of sorts.

Her inner dialogue is hilarious yet heartbreaking at times because she's so nonchalant about the fact that people just forget about her. It's sad to hear her talk about it because it has become second nature, she's used to it.

As always, I love seeing characters from previous books pop up. And of course, Cimil is in this one and by the end, I'm just on the fence about her. She's just a very selfish person that does no good, but there's a certain something that left me curious about what would happen to her.

ZAC  .... he's in this as well and we've kept up with him throughout the series, but let's just say I didn't expect what happened to happen to him. I cried and refused to accept it, so here I am sitting in a puddle of tears refusing to accept that truth, Mimi! How dare you ... haha.

As always, loved reading Forgetty's story and absolutely can't wait for the next one in this series!
