City of Nanaimo Residents Urged to Conserve Water

Water Treatment Plant is unable to Sustain Production

Summary

The windstorm and power outages have affected the City of Nanaimo's Water Treatment Plant ability to deliver water to the system. As a result, residents and businesses should not use water until further notice.

Update: City pools and arenas are closed until further notice. The pools are unable to meet health and safety regulations people are required to shower prior to entering the pool. In addition, due restrictions, bathrooms are not avaialble at the facilities. The arenas are unable to clean the ice.
