Are you getting close to graduation, new to the industry, or looking for pointers on how to present your best work and take it to the next level? Join AIGA LA at the USC MFA Design Studios for our annual Portfolio Day. Here’s your chance to meet with design studios, academics, and industry professionals from throughout Southern California. Spend the day networking with other burgeoning designers discussing your work and gaining invaluable feedback.

Throughout the day, you’ll connect with experts in design, strategy, social action, film, motion graphics, user experience, digital design and more. You will meet with professionals to gain insight about best practices for finding, preparing and nailing those interviews...as well as learning about what it takes to be a professional in the creative industry. Remember! This isn’t a competition, but rather a celebration of design education and the work you have already put in to reach your goal as a professional designer.

WHO IT’S FOR
AIGA LA’s Portfolio Day is open to any designer looking for pointers on their presentation and interviewing skills. Most participants are new and emerging designers seeking feedback and tips on refining portfolios and work that may still be in progress. Our goal is to do our best to help young designers prepare to successfully enter into new careers.

WHAT TO BRING
For this event, your portfolio should include your best work and work that you're still looking to refine. You’ll hear many different opinions from many different industry leaders. The goal is to help you, develop you, and to guide you towards your goals. If you are showing online work, be prepared with PDF or stand alone digital files (internet connection issues can happen). PLUS make sure your laptops or tablets are fully charged.

Morning Session: 9AM –12PM  |  Afternoon Session: 2PM–5PM
Members: FREE (with $20 deposit)
Non-members: $20
Registration is required to hold your space for the day. For AIGA members, this deposit will be refunded to you upon arrival. For non-AIGA members, you may apply your deposit towards AIGA membership the day of the event should you choose.
