They reopening after closed for few years, the food still awful, the kalbi chewy and dry, I don't see the guy who told me to go to a la carte kbbq if I want good meat from few years ago LOL.
It's ashamed and I feel bad for the owner after fix the new place and spend all the money for it.
You need to change the chef, even the cap jay is tasteless, you will not survive with other AYCE kbbq near you like Picnic Garden, Iron cast 3 & Padam padam. Your restaurant concept and taste far down from them.
I really not enjoy the food, was so bad, many hot food tray was empty, sign says sesame chicken but what inside is chicken nuggets.
The place atmosphere is also bad with all day light they used.
I dont think this place will stay long.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 13, 2019Previous reviewAll the good review here I think is related to the owner. Trust me do not come to this place if you don't want to get disappointed.
The kalbi is so dry, tough and tasteless. They don't marinated enough, according to the waiter when I told him about it, He told me if you want with good flavor, He suggested me to go to Korean BBQ with ala carte menu don't go to all you can eat like his restaurant. So they did tasteless and tough meat on purposed, they think that way people will not eat lots of it. When I told him Picnic Garden also all you can eat but they did marinated their meat good and flavorful, do you know what He said ? Next time don't go here go to Picnic Garden. I think He is the owner of the place.
If the kalbi taste so bad, what you will expect from other meat ? The beef steak came frozen, everything has no flavor, what they thinking when they open the business ? Don't they know about Picnic Garden ? This guys will not survive in the business, they don't even take critic and get mad about it.
I know to open business especially restaurant is hard, you have to listen to your customer.
If your food no good and you still stubborn and don't make improvement you will not make it.
This is honest review. I know they are new, need improvement. Not just improvement I think, they need new chef and new concept, I bet if they stay like this they will stay in business few month until they can't afford loosing money anymore. What ashamed. - Jun 2, 2019
The company I keep is all about the meat when it comes to K-BBQ. They don't mess around with rice, alcoholic drinks, etc... or other stuff that slows them down from getting their money's worth. Sure they might get some steamed egg, or create a crazy Korean taco with whole lettuce leaves, but they do damage!
Not to say I don't contribute my share of destruction and NY K-BBQ is good place to do it. AYCE dinner is $26.95 (+$4.99 for La Galbi) and from our experience the service was attentive bringing plate after plate of meats. Since it wasn't too busy the staff had more time to do the cooking for us which was cool.
All the meat tasted pretty good, but after a while everything starts to taste the same so I can't pick a stand out item. La Galbi is what we probably had the most and I enjoyed it - didn't regret the extra money. The grills are kept hot so the items cooked fast (Faster than at nearby O2, where I feel their domed grills tend to slow things down). No matter where I sat I felt the heat coming off the grill and needed to step outside to take a break. I liked all the sides I tried - kimchi, onions, fresh peppers, salad. They brought refills as needed.
They have parking in back, but I found a spot on the street. It was weird that in the fairly large space they sat us directly next to the only other diners, which I felt bad for having to listen to our shenanigans and off-the-wall discussions.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 96163746May 4, 2019
Relatively new AYCE KBBQ joint.
Came here with my girlfriend for lunch and I've got to say did not disappoint.
Now, normally I'd avoid AYCE joints bc I have a weak stomach and I can't stand watching people stuff their faces (to get their monies worth, just cause its AYCE)
They charge you a little bit extra to add the LA Galbi, which is the main reason why we came here to try this meat.
The marinated chicken was very juicy and tender as well.
The waitstaff was very attentative and always refilled our cups & made sure our condiments and banchans were never empty.
For lunch they only serve the lettuce wraps when you ask for them. ( the lettuce to wrap your grilled meats) so delish!
$30/pp for lunch well spent!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Peter A.Queens, NY1164165Mar 31, 2019
I love K-BBQ especially all you can eat ones. Now they are fairly new so I was not expecting big things. But I ended up full and happy!
The service was great! Very friendly and patient.
The place is nice and clean.
The food now i enjoyed it all. The meats were great and chicken too. All the sides went good with the meats. For under $30 its a great place and I will be going back.
They did say they are trying new things so the menu might change, I hope they add some more meats and 2 more dipping sauces.
Everyone give it a try.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kate T.Queens, NY245221785Aug 21, 2019
I am usually not a fan of AYCE KBBQ places because I feel like the quality of the meats are not as good as the a la carte places... I'd go as far as I dislike them normally... but one of my very good friends wanted to have his birthday dinner here, so off we went. And, I was pleasantly surprised! Dare I say I would go again? #AYCEKBBQconvert
New York KBBQ is a huge space right on Northern Blvd. Parking can be tough, but there is a small parking lot behind the restaurant where I usually find space (when I go to the spa that's next door and shares the lot).
All the banchans were pretty good; I especially liked the pickled jalapeños.
The meat quality was pretty good, definitely better than I was expecting. I like that the steamed egg and bean paste soups are part of the ACYE menu, but it seems that's the norm.
My favorite part is that they offer nengmyun (1 bowl per person). I don't think I've ever seen this being offered at a AYCE place? (Correct me if I'm wrong...) But finishing a KBBQ meal off with a bowl of nengmyun is just about the perfect way to end the meal, imo, so I was a very happy camper. It wasn't the best nengmyun I've ever had... but whatever, it's free!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christine L.Roslyn, NY021Apr 13, 2019
This is an excellent Korean barbeque, with the best quality of meat that I have found at an all-you-can eat restaurant in this area.
The portions were huge, the side dishes were constantly replenished, and the service was excellent. We tried the kalbi, steak, brisket, pork belly, spicy pork bulgogi, and the spicy baby octopus. They were all very good and flavorful.
The restaurant space is very clean and well laid out for a comfortable dining experience. There is a small parking area in the back, but you should have no trouble finding street parking as well.
Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience, and we will definitely be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kristina V.Baltimore, MD7220044Aug 25, 2019
I went after the beach and it was well worth it. MY partner had never had KBBQ and I wanted to make sure his first experience was AYCE like the ones I had become accustomed to in LA. Boy was it worth it! The fod was amazing and the service was quick.
I want to go back when I am not completely exhausted after a full beach day.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - tasnim a.Los Angeles, CA9173Mar 16, 2019
Check out this new place that just opened a few weeks ago! We stumbled upon this restaurant when we tried to go to picnic garden but didn't want to wait 50 min for a table for 3 people..drove a few blocks further on northern Blvd and found this place with a grand opening sign out front. We were hesitant about the negative review someone left for them as they are new but seemed like that person was just on their high horse. We gave it an honest try and glad we did. This hit the spot, really good meat and service. The only thing we didn't like is the salad and the kimchee, which are little things. Otherwise will definitely recommend!

Yesterday, I came here with my cousins and I would say this place was pretty good! It was my first time and we decided to try somewhere new instead of picnic garden. The service was wonderful, the servers were very nice, attentive and super helpful. The portions were huge, we were full pretty quick. You get 100 minutes to dine in and the menu had so many options. I would definitely come here again with a larger group of people next time!

Horrible service. Please don't go there. I complained about a dirty cup and I got into a fight with a nasty mannered Korean waiter there. I told him there is a pepper flake in my cup and he snatched it from my hand and turned around. So I was angry and asked him if he will say sorry for a dirty cup. Then he answered me by saying "I am not the one who did the dish. Stop staring at me.".
We didn't ( of course ) eat there and left but here are the pictures of the cup and the guy. He is a short Korean guy with a hat and he has acne all over his face . So next time when you eat there be careful not to get yelled by this guy hahaha.
