CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –  The No. 3 Northeastern women's hockey team will look to extend its seven-game unbeaten streak on Tuesday when it takes on No. 8 Boston College in the consolation game of the 41st Women's Beanpot at 5 p.m.

QUICK HITS

• The Huskies are 2-1-0 against the Eagles in 2018-19 with the home team winning all three matchups. With a win on Tuesday, NU would secure its third victory over Boston College in a season for the first time since 2003-04.

• This will be the eighth straight Beanpot in which Northeastern has faced Boston College. The Eagles have won the last five meetings dating back to NU's most recent Beanpot win over the Eagles: a 4-3 triumph in the 2013 championship game.

• Northeastern will be looking to avoid consecutive fourth-place Beanpot finishes for the first time since 2008-09. The Huskies have finished third seven times (most recently in 2011) and fourth six times (most recently in 2018).

• Ranked No. 3 for the eighth straight week, the Huskies are 5-2-2 in games against ranked opponents this season, and 6-2-3 vs. teams currently ranked or receiving votes in the polls.

• NU owns both the top scoring offense and the top scoring defense in Hockey East this season. The Huskies are averaging 3.64 goals per game (5th best in the NCAA), while allowing 1.86 goals per game (6th best in the NCAA).

• Northeastern boasts the top-ranked penalty kill in the NCAA at 91.1%. Since the start of 2019, the Huskies have held their opponents to only two power-play goals, negating 33 of 35 opportunities over 11 games.

• The Huskies lead the nation in goals scored during the final two minutes (18:00 - 20:00) of a period with 26. No other team in the country has scored more than 20 total goals in the final two minutes of a period this season.

• Northeastern is 18-1-1 this season when scoring first, compared to 3-2-3 when its opponent scores first. The Huskies are 13-1-1 when leading after the first period and 17-0-1 when holding a lead after two periods of play.

• Sophomore defender Skylar Fontaine enters Tuesday's game riding a seven-game point streak, during which she has piled up four goals and four assists. Fontaine ranks third in WHEA scoring among defenders with 22 points, while her +34 rating is the top mark among all league skaters.

• Freshman Alina Mueller was named the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week in Hockey East for the fourth time this season on Monday. Mueller racked up five points in two games last week, including a goal, an assist and a shootout goal in Tuesday's Beanpot opener vs. BU.

• With three points on Friday against Merrimack, Mueller surpassed the 40-point plateau for the year, becoming the first Husky freshman since Kendall Coyne in 2011-12 to record at least 40 points. Mueller is one of 10 freshmen in program history to rack up 40 or more points in their rookie season.

• Mueller continues to lead all WHEA freshmen in goals (16), assists (25), points (41), power-play points (12), game-winning goals (5), plus/minus (+26), shots on goal (107) and faceoff wins (277). The Patty Kazmaier Award candidate has notched points in 25 of 28 games this season, including at least a point in all nine games against ranked opponents.

• Sophomore goaltender Aerin Frankel ranks second in the NCAA with a 1.55 goals against average, and ranks third in the NCAA with a .940 save percentage. At 16-1-2 overall, Frankel's .895 winning percentage is the top mark in the NCAA, while her five shutouts are tied for third nationally.

• Senior Kasidy Anderson scored her 50th collegiate goal in Northeastern's 6-3 win over Merrimack on Friday. Anderson is the 22nd player in program history to reach the milestone and first since McKenna Brand accomplished the feat last season.

• Anderson has scored in all three games against Boston College this season and has recorded at least a point in her last six meetings with the Eagles overall.

• Both Anderson and senior Tori Sullivan are approaching 100 points for their careers. Anderson has 94 points in 140 games, while Sullivan has 94 points in 145 games at both NU and BC.

• Sophomore Veronika Pettey leads the Huskies and is tied for first nationally with seven power-play goals this season. Pettey has scored five goals in her last four games, including her first collegiate hat trick on Jan. 26 against Vermont.

• Sophomore Brooke Hobson is in the midst of a breakout second-year campaign as her 23 points are tied for the 4th-most among NCAA defenders this season. Hobson's nine power-play assists are tied for the most among WHEA blue-liners.

• Freshman Chloe Aurard ranks second among WHEA rookies (trailing only Alina Mueller) with 27 points this season. Of those 27 points, 26 have come against league opponents.

• Aurard has also shown a tendency to score in big situations, potting the game-tying goal with 1:21 remaining in the third period of a 5-4 OT win against Boston College on Nov. 27, as well as the game-tying goal with 1:36 remaining in the third period of a 2-1 OT victory at UConn on Feb. 1.

• Aurard has piled up a team-high eight points (three goals, five assists) in the final five minutes of the third period this season, while her 13 total third-period points rank as the second-most on the team behind Mueller's 15.

• Junior Andrea Renner scored her ninth goal of the season (28 games) on Friday against Merrimack. Prior to her junior campaign, Renner had scored just nine total goals in her first two collegiate seasons (69 goals). Four of Renner's nine goals this season have been game-winners.

• Freshman Miceala Sindoris notched her first collegiate goal (the eventual game-winning goal) on Friday against Merrimack. Sindoris is the 15th different Husky to score this season and the 11th different player to score a game-winning goal for NU in 2018-19.

• Head coach Dave Flint enters Tuesday with 196 career wins at Northeastern. With four more victories, Flint would become the second head coach in program history to eclipse 200 wins on Huntington Avenue (Don MacLeod won 210 games from 1981-92).

• Alumna Linda Lundrigan '94 will be inducted into the Women's Beanpot Hall of Fame on Feb. 12. Lundrigan helped NU to two Beanpot titles as a player (1990, 1991) and two more as an assistant/associate coach with NU in 2012 and 2013.

• Following the conclusion of the Beanpot on Tuesday, Northeastern will return to league play for its final four WHEA contests of the season. The Huskies have clinched a share of the Hockey East regular season crown and the No. 1 overall seed in the league playoffs. Northeastern needs just one more point (or a BC loss/tie) to clinch the outright WHEA regular season title for the second time in program history (2012).
