Sintered multilayer mesh bags are developed for use in high temperature application conditions up to 480oC. A standard multilayer sintered mesh has five layers interconnected through vacuum sintering, compression and rolling to create a porous material. Sintered mesh screens are perfect for use in the challenging industrial applications that demand long life and when other media are not economical solution. Filtration technology using sintered media provides supreme function in various liquid-solid and gas-solid separation applications found in handling and processing of fluids comprising of radioactive materials. Different types of filter media, varying from single use to semi-permanent, are used in the modern time to separate particulate matter.

Although semi-permanent media are often cleanable, on or offline, and are designed for sustainable , usually multi-year, service life in vigorous conditions. These vigorous conditions may involve corrosive fluids, high temperature, large pressures or pressure peaks, usually needing continuous filtration service, are perfect for all-metal filtration systems involving the use of semi-permanent sintered metal media.

Sintered metal wire mesh often fabricated into tubular metal elements, have offered high particle removal efficiency and showed reliability that specifically offer supreme functionality for demanding liquid-solids and gas-solids filtration processes. The filter element in specific cases, the whole filter is weldable, hence the inherent sealing prevents the need for major problematic seals. The sintered wire mesh screens create a positive barrier to perform particulate removal to secure the downstream equipment, for particle separation and to maintain health, safety and environmental standards.

These techniques are used on liquid and gas streams that include multiple non-corrosive to extremely corrosive chemical elements, comprising a wide range of particulate matter, and an extensive range of system temperatures and pressures. Uses of sintered wire mesh filters are aimed to create positive barrier to ensure complete particulate removal to secure the downstream system and for material separation.

In the modern industries, multiple filter media are used to separate the particulate matter. These media are fiber, ceramic, polymer, wire mesh and sintered wire mesh. Although semi-permanent media are often easy to clean, sintered wire mesh media are commonly used in air and gas filtration systems. The sintered mesh screens ensure the minimum particle filtration efficiency of 99.7% hence they easily meet the requirements of filtration applications.
