Let’s celebrate all the hard work of the women making a difference in our community and lives! This will be a one hour event dedicated to celebrate "International Women's Day" with Oanh Author, of Monkey Bridges and Banh Mi Sandwiches: from Sai Gon to Texas—A Memoir and Room to Read on Friday March 8th. Oanh will do a book reading/signing. Oanh Ngo Usadi shares her story of immigration from Vietnam to America as a child. Her family navigated a new culture, landscape, language and life with grace, hard work and humility.
We will have a donation box from Room to Read, Addteq will do a match and donate to Room to Read which supports literacy and girls’ education in 14 low-income countries.
